Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

I didnt realize how awesome sea days were until I experienced one. I also absolutely adore formal night. I never get a chance to dress up.

Walking on my first cruise ever (Carnival Fantasy)to my stateroom, the cleaning staff greeted my wife and I by our names. I thought it was crazy! They dedicate some time to getting to know their guests and it really shows. Look forward to booking Royal soon.
I hate formal nights, especially while cruising in the Caribbean. I dress up at work and on vacation I want to relax and dress comfortably. I prefer the MDR to Windjammer for dinner so I’m glad RCI has a more relaxed dress code for formal nights.

I want my friends to do more cruises and be the entertainment. I know they did cruise entertainment on Royal Caribbean for several years until March 2020.

We’re doing Symphony over next Halloween (2024) but out of Port Liberty, New Jersey and are Very excited!! It’ll be our third Oasis class in a row (we also have Oasis itself this October, and then Harmony next May)

Dinner time question: Hey Brian and Kerry! I've been binge watching your vlogs, so thank you for the brilliant content. I've never gone on a cruise ship before and am a bit anxious about how it feels. How does it physically feel to be on a cruise ship? Do you constantly feel the feeling of the ship moving? Is it something you get used to after a while? What is the difference between the feeling you get on rough seas vs. smoother sailing? Thank you!!
This is a really good question! We’ll add it to our list to answer at dinner! Yes you can almost constantly feel it, but you get used to it! After the first day you can forget you’re on a ship! When the seas are super calm you sometimes can think you’re docked because you can’t feel it at all. If you’re anxious about it, look into a Freedom Class or Allure of the Seas for a 3 night sailing. Most of those sailings are in port every day during the day, so you will only feel the movement at night. Also get some bonine or dramamine and you will be good! And to answer the last part, on rough seas days, you notice it all day, and think about it a lot. But those days don’t happen too often and most of the time you get used to it and forget about it!

The green flash is a real atmospheric thing. I played the video back and though subtle, it did look green right before it went down. But it's not like lightening or anything really overt.

I’m obsessed with your videos 😭My first cruise was the Disney wish because my cousin got married otherwise I would’ve never thought of getting on a cruise, but now that’s all I think about and I want to try a Royal ship but I don’t want to be disappointed since my first ship was already so amazing! So SERIOUS QUESTION lol which Royal ship do you guys recommend I book first that’s very comparable to the wish ( if even possible)

Dinner question. I don't feel like paying $1000 for 2 of us for the drink package but do enjoy an occasional drink. What does the oasis class charge for a normal drink. Trying to do the math to see if the package is worth it. Btw, your videos are great! Thanks and hope to see you on board one day.

I just recently found your channel and have really enjoyed watching your videos, I've been watching them a lot the last couple days. I do have a question for you. When you're on a Royal Caribbean cruise you keep mentioning that you buy the Soda package for the cruise, my question is do you get just the Soda package or is it the Refreshment package that you get? I've only been on three cruises so far but I'm completely addicted and can't wait to get on my next.
We just get the soda package and use our Diamond drink vouchers for fancier soft drinks

Dressing is not an issue but, the dinning room should be casual. I don’t believe anyone should dress up if they don’t want too, but tank top, shorts, and flip flops in dinning is not cool, when you can go to the windjammer
