Thanks. Borneo is amazing for wildlife. Snakes are hard to find. I probably herped 6 to 8 hours per night and averaged 2 snakes per night lol. 3 years ago I couldn't find a malcolmi, but got lucky this time. How long will you go for? Poring was a lot of fun too.
Thanks Lou. Have you been to Sabah for some herping? It's really hard to find snakes, but each one seems to be something different and special. I did 3 other nights there in different location, all with some interesting results.
What a great video and so great you found your target species! Love the grumpy Muppets😉 And the Pitviper indeed is very beautiful, have to go back one day!
Thanks. Yeah, it was a great start to the trip. I also found another species of Horned frog the following night, with even bigger horns. I also need to go back and see some of those bigger mammals.
Nice! 👍 Which trail did you spot the Kinabalu Horned Frog? I've seen Bornean Horned Frog and Rough-backed Horned Frog. Kinabalu Horned Frog is on my bucket list. 🐸
I feel like maybe the rain brought them out. 3 years ago I couldn't find one to save myself. Though I may have been looking in the wrong place then. I can't share the specific location unfortunately, as I was asked to keep the location to myself by the person who shared it to me. I did find a big Long Nosed Horned Frog at Poring though.
Thanks so much for this! What are your experiences and recommendations for herping throughout Malaysia? I was beginning to consider Malaysia as a potential expat relocation destination.
Yes, it was productive. Every night there yielding something interesting. The following 3 nights were great too. Different place and different species.
Nice find! I'm still riding high from last week's find.
Very nicely filmed and narrated.
Those Malcomi are absolutely beautiful. I can only hope to find one myself when travelling to Borneo next year.

1938年發現,馬氏竹葉青蛇=蝰蛇科=蝮亞科=竹葉青蛇屬,馬來西亞特有種,身體非常漂亮。感謝James Osborne的分享。
謝謝
Wow those vipers were cool. Great stuff
Yeah, pretty nice. It would be great to see a huge one haha. They are hard to find though, so I was extremely happy to find those.
Excellent production 👌
Thank you 🙌 It was a pretty amazing night.
Awesome video. Lou B

@@wildlifejames Thank you for your reply. I'm sure I'll find them one day. Sabah Borneo is a paradise for night walk and it never disappoints.

I really enjoyed Sabah. That is the only place I have been in Malaysia. I'm not sure how it would be to live there, but the wildlife is amazing.

I recommend a trip there. The animals can be hard to find, but everything is just so unique and interesting. I had a fantastic time there

A very rare but incredibly sophisticated film, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the feedback. It was exciting to find them both in the same night.
超棒!下週也要去婆羅洲,請問近攝的畫面還是始用rx100m7拍攝的嗎?
哦真的嗎? 太棒了,我希望你能找到一些令人驚奇的野生動物。 是的,我用的是Sony RX100 vii
