You got it! Honestly I’m so focused on that right now! I just found a dyno tuner that works with Megasquirt I’m gonna talk to him this weekend and see what we can do. But if it doesn’t make it you better believe I’m doing whatever I need to make it happen!! Haha that’s been my whole mantra since I started this was 700hp and a 9 second quarter ! So I’m glad you better hold me to it and if I don’t make it I hope you give me a ton of shit!! 😂🤣🤝
@@iamchazhaynes7074 9 second quarter is not an easy task. Have You ever driven a 10 second or even an 11second fox? Coming from an old school fox guy trust me, you need a lot of drive time. Good luck ! Keep the videos coming.
@@johndigenakis9725 I appreciate it! and I’ve only driven one 10 second car it was a terminator cobra with a massive whipple and it was scary as all hell 😂 but I definitely don’t think I’m going to get it first pass or even the 20th or 100th it’s definitely going to be a learning experience I plan on starting off slow my immediate goal is to hit a high 10 then work down slowly plus I still have a TON to do before the car can even handle that kind of launch! I’m in it for the long haul cause like you said I don’t have the experience to handle that yet but that’s my goal and I’m going to make it happen some day! Thanks for the comment keeps me motivated!!
The cam sync and crank trigger as you probably know is better than just the cam wheel like I have but it was so easy with the PiMPXS plug and play harness I couldn’t resist lol but if I wasn’t as lazy I would have done what you did cause it’s much better! How have you like the system ?
Thanks! I had tried the 7/32 and I couldn’t get mine to fit in! Lol I guess my socket was made on the fat side so I had to go get that tool or the 5.5 mm like you’re saying!
@@iamchazhaynes7074 ahh got ya. Now that you say that, I remember taking g the grinder wheel to one back in the day. I forgot how tight the tfi holes were!
@@iamchazhaynes7074 😂🤣😂 yeah my spots are really safe because it will never be found again by me or anyone else 🤣 because Im always putting them where I wont lose them but in reality im putting it where it will never be found again 😂🤣😂
Awesome man, you didnt hear me but i was yelling to grab your 5.5mm socket thats never been used to pull the tfi off lol. May want to put some kind of tape/foam on that k member where the coil wires are laying on, mine has a fairly sharp edge that shaved some meat off me when i was pulling the starter off a while back
Hahahahaha I wish I had one!! I had a 7/32 socket but it wouldn’t fit in the hole 😂 believe me I ran around for a good 45 minutes trying to jimmy rig something to make it work ! 😂 and that’s a good idea thanks ! It is pretty tough down there that’s probably something I’ll do here pretty soon!
@@DEMONFOX5.0 oh nice! You were able to go that’s awesome! I wish I could have gone I just live in commifornia! 😂 maybe I can make the trek out there one year and meet everyone!
Definitely! Main reason is spark energy. The stock ignition could not supply enough spark like individual coils can. You can use an MSD box to get that spark though, but I’ve had terrible luck with those boxes personally. Then spark control with the stock TFI you cannot command under 10 degrees of timing it goes into a limp home mode if you try. So you cannot fully benefit from Megasquirt’s cool protective features and cannot use two step to its full potential. Also driveability the increased spark makes the car idle extremely well. It has many advantages over the stock ignition as well as if a coil goes out you just have a misfire instead of a car that won’t start at all. Plus the LS guys have made HP into the 4 digits with these specific coils so they are very powerful and reliable.
I’m pretty sure you need some sort of stand alone engine management to use it but it doesn’t have to be Megasquirt it can be any standalone for a foxbody the lost popular right now is terminator x 👍🏻
Wanna see a dyno video of this 700hp. Big numbers to hold you to

Awesome, I did this with MS3/pimpxs about 3/4 years ago. I used a cam sync and crank trigger.

@@iamchazhaynes7074 it’s working great, it definitely is alittle more challenging on initial setup.
Great job, sounds good, can’t wait for the drive..
I have a set of electric fans I’m gonna slap on it and then I’ll start driving it 👍🏻 I should be doing that this weekend
Wow nice job man!
Thank you I appreciate it!
Thats Awesome! For future reference, you can use a 7/32 or 5.5 mm socket to remove the TFI module.

Right!!!! You think you don’t need it and put it in a “safe spot” but then you can never find that safe spot 😂😂
