- It was sure a muddy mess up at the off the grid cabin. With the spring thaw everything seems to be underwater. Follow along as we work away at little projects at bushcamp including some firewood cutting and a surprise encounter with a bear and 3 cubs!
Join my dog and I at our wilderness homestead in the Canadian North. This channel features videos on off-the-grid lifestyle and building, trapline adventures, hunting, fishing, trucks and much more!
I live off the land in a self reliant and self sufficient lifestyle. The land provides me with everything I need. My offgrid cabin is solar powered, heated by a wood stove and most everything I eat comes from the land; fish, eggs from my chickens, and many different wild game species. The lifestyle I live is essentially expense free and blesses me with the opportunity to do whatever I please.
In the winter months we head out on the trapline and ethically harvest fur bearing animals. Through moderate and sustainable methods I snare and trap these animals and work on, and sell the pelts at auction which provides a decent income for me to invest in my off the grid homestead and lifestyle.

Hey buddy... take some advice from an old guy... wear hearing protection when running the chainsaw! Also when you shoot... it is no fun later in life to not be able to hear... hearing aids are a pain in the ass but so is not being able to hear! Keep the videos coming!

you can pressure can meat and it will keep without the need for a fridge. i do ground beef, breakfast sausage and even beef stew. It is a little bit of work but deff an option for meat in the back country. there is a lot of videos online for it

My dad was taught to feed the egg shells back to the chickens . Crunch up the shells sometimes he would crunch up whole eggs mixing it in chicken feed and feed it to them . Nothing wasted in the farm . Thank you fir sharing the bush life with us , it's a real treat . "Deeds not words "

Also you better get going on a run for the chickens bro so they can get outside during the day and maybe get one of them auto chicken doors so when your not there they can still come out in the run.... The cabin is looking good another great video them egg shells you should have feed them to the chickens for calcium and that spruce chicken you walked up on you should have shot it would have made a good meal all that mud is Tough for your vehicles glad to see you're safe look forward to the next video
