Dude your channel is defo one of my favourites but I was born in 84 and you just made me feel accient lol. Do you do much hunting? Will you do some hunting vids please but I genuinely love all your vids and you've done soo well for sombody soo young you really are living the dream 💚
Another great video! You can make any chore quite amusing!! Dog likes his ears rubbed same as mine.. Quite interested in your projects for the Summer!! You can tackle anything you put your mind to... Don’t ever change👍 Get your farm work done: enjoy your time with your pooch, maybe some fishing?
I dream of a homestead lifestyle, I'm 24 and I make a good living operating cranes. So for now I save, save, save. But one day... I'm gonna move to greener pastures and live like this gentleman here. I'm practicing doing what I can with my crazy work schedule. But I cant wait to go closer to full time.
Very nice water collection system, Man!! Your Positive Energetic Outlook on life as well as the great content makes your videos some of the best entertainment on UA-cam!! I appreciate all the work you do to create each of these fantastic shows. Please give Cougar an ear rub for me. Thanks, Man!! I also, enjoy your long videos while sipping a nice mug of coffee. - from Northern Nova Scotia - Safe Journeys my Friend.
A small 12v submerged pump in your water barrel will be cheap as chips, can be linked to the solar power system easily and plumb it straight into the cabin for when you install your sink :)
This 45 odd minute video went extremely quick for me it was that enjoyable. Absolutely loving the content. And having your pooch in amongst it all is the icing on the cake. Looking forward to the next one👍. (Wait til you hear this old beast🤣😂)
Plot twists and poochie, is that his name? Gotta love a lab. This channel is deadly, thanks for taking the time for us! COVID pushed my OTG plans in overdrive, started with needless self isolation, all just earlier than anticipated. I’m also alone but wish I had enough sense to do it at your age. Loving living the dream, wrong nails, screws, brackets and all, lol. . Amazing how resourceful one becomes when town isn’t close. Thankfully, I at least have Google or I’d be NOWHERE! Thanks again for the improv and great ideas, (made me own outhouse thanks to you) my evestroughing is on the list for next Summer and love the spigot idea. RIP Ram.
Keep the barrel on the deck and build a wall and put a trash can for trash also. Move your shower next to the barrel and pump straight out. Thanks for the video, I’m in the desert wishing I was there...
I love it. One thing to do with the rain barrels is add an overflow pipe. When they're full, that water will leak right next to the house, but if you add some hose near the top, extending maybe a few meters away from the cabin, it'll be golden. I'm excited to see future videos when you prop the cans up higher and make more alterations to everything.
Hey man, so much entertainment - from you sitting and chatting, to the action. Will you be doing more fishing videos? the one recently where you pulled fish out of the lake and ate them about 10 mins later was SWEET. Thanks for entertaining us!
This was a video someone shared on Facebook...I like rainwater collection, and wanted to see your method. I didn't realize the video was 45 minutes long - not complaining. I hit the "Subscribe button" the minute you fired up the old Ram. I am a GM (1990 S-15) guy myself, but much love for the old school iron - I was driving when that was the "Newest Model". The Canadian humor tho - Best freaking part!
That's awesome my friend I hope that everything is as expected and that they serve you well. Hopefully they get there soon but everything is pretty slow during this pandemic
Spigots could be good if you ever do a garden. Hook up a garden hose and one less need to haul water. Also, love the pooch. Labs make wonderful companions
I love watch your vids. This is my idea of freedom. I like the old dodge underside are all rust being from Saskatchewan Good times. This is living. In summer you can grow veggies. Noodles are great man.
Oh man that was the longest wait for a video just found your channel bud 2 weeks ago and binged watched all your awesome vids .. Love the build going to be doing something exaclty like you thanks for putting everything from start to finish on the cabin.. Cheers from Elliot Lake Ont
My first vehicle was an 82 Ramcharger. That ol girl brings back some good memories. She'll keep sending it if you keep sweet talking her lol. My uncle had one as well he dropped a 440 in. I still remember the sound of that bad boy.
I have had a few old trucks I used for plowing snow when I was in my 20s that I had to have the windows open just to breathe lol... I'm 47 now and still alive lol
Pull the labels on your barrels off while they are easy to get off... if you leave them and then try to take them off, it is more difficult..... 😊. Your place is getting very comfortable... love it! 🌀❤️🌀
If you haven't already done it, you might want to put some screen or hardware cloth somewhere up the downspout or in the gutter to prevent large debris or a bird or squirrel carcass from getting into your water supply.
Keep givin er, love the old thundertruck. Ramen is quick and easy. Water collection system should make things a bit easier, a good 2 or 3 foot long log would work well as a stand for your water drum. 👍
You can buy a downspout adapter that changes the position of the downspout so it will run down the back edge of the house. Why you could even connect the two downspouts to meet in the middle of the house back wall then run into a single barrel, or have 2 barrels connected for in case of overflow if the first barrel is full.
Beauty truck. Love those old Ramchargers she's just missing that Ram on the hood. That's a great deal on the insurance. I don't think we got anything like that in Ontario.
Great video as always. Those old trucks are great, but they do get awful gas mileage. I remember back in the early eighties when I was a little older than you are now thinking that new trucks were crap compared to older 60s and 70s trucks. 😂 I guess it’s a matter of perspective. I would love to have a truck like yours right now. I like your water collection system. It’s simple and will get the job done. Nice job.
Another great video! I think you might need a bigger barrel or more of them. One side of my roof is about 4 times the size of one side of your roof, and I can fill a 210 liter barrel in 15 minutes in heavy rain, around one hour in light rain. And it looks like you get more rain than I do in average. Love your channel!
I had a late 80s Dodge Prospector. Its basically the short bed pickup sister to the Ramcharger. It was an absolute beast, with a rebuilt engine but otherwise in rough shape when I inherited her. Transmission leaked and slipped, and too many little things breaking. I regret that I didn't invest some time and money in it, but just too much for driving long distances.
just put a cinder block or paver or something it the rain catcher can too keep it from moving. you could also make it wrap around the back of your cabin, buit that's more work! maybe find like a chain sawed bear totem and throw it in front of the can to hide it haha
It's possible you've blown the head gaskets / warped the heads by overheating the engine block. Hopefully it was just low on coolant :( Love everything you do, keep it up. It's great to watch...I've binged through the entire build so far and can't wait for expansion :)
Hey buddy, Ya know after looking in the shotgun seat of the RC yer rain barrels look mint beside the house, eh. Shame about supertruck but nothing lasts forever. U keep giving er. We'll wait for the next vid. 👍
Cabin is looking deadly man. Poochy is a great dog. Typical good lab. When I was your age I could eat like that too, never put on a pound, now, no way. Hope you find a good replacement for the Ram.
Hey, not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but maybe check the rain barrel for any mice before drawing water - that's a spice you don't want. Those little bastards get into everything 🐀
That’s be the great thing with how they’re covered, should keep the little bastards out! Yup, found one in mine, thankfully when it was dry. God they were bad this year.
Looks good my man always a pleasure to see your new video back to work this week for the first time in Michigan off for two months got a lot of work done around the house but was not able to go to camp be careful out there and look for a new truck
A Quick easily built pedestal to support your water tank up higher would provide an easy gravity water source for any future in cabin kitchen sink/tap also just wanna thank you for the great content and inspiration you have helped provide for me to get back to the basics and go off grid keep it up man
Looking good there. Great to see that water system up and hope you get some rain while you are away from camp. Love the older cars, they last and last. My 84' has been across the states about 6 times, pretty certain they run on love. Never had to replace nothing but the timing belt recently and when I did it was missing more teeth than an ugly cousin and she still got me another 1000 miles to get home and didn't crap out till I go right in town where I could get her repaired. Once they started putting computers in them and making them out of rain gutters and old beer cans, shit went down hill. About being positive, man I wish I figured that shit out long ago like you did. No truer words, be happy for what ya got and change it if you don't.
Great vid, bud. Awesome community you have here. As I watch this on day of release, the vid has 3500 views and 82 comments. That seems like a crazy high ratio 👍
100%, switch to brown down spouts, or better, instal a corner piece and run it down the back. That way you won't have a bucket rotting the corner of your deck. Like you said, put it in the back and build it up with some old wood to make it easier to use.
Should get a 55gallon plastic potable water container for your rain water catch system. But install your drain spouts before placing your tanks in place. Your other one sitting on the ground built a wooden platform for it
Hey friends, I hope everyone is well. It's raining here now and the system has been working great, no leaks or anything.
All the best
Sorry about the RAM. F150 will also run forever.
Dude your channel is defo one of my favourites but I was born in 84 and you just made me feel accient lol. Do you do much hunting? Will you do some hunting vids please but I genuinely love all your vids and you've done soo well for sombody soo young you really are living the dream 💚

@@emma-it7cj LMFAO I thought the same thing, I'm almost over the hill now I was born in 81!!!!
No worries guys old for a truck but definitely not for a person
"She's f*cking luxury" "Dump some coolant into her and see if she'll chew" I come for these gems! Love your channel.

God bless from Montreal
Hope you will keep making videos, mate! You're pure gold! Really, really entertaining to watch!
love your dog when your into a project , he says ,, ohh boy , here we go again , I'll lay down ...
Dont worry Cougar is supervising. All is under control.

If everyone was as smart and layed back as you the world would be a better place. Really enjoy your calm approach to everything bc im a basket case.

Haha thanks a lot my friend I appreciate you watching and all the kind comments!
And then it finally stayed running when he DIDN’T say how good it was running. 🤣
Thanks for this vid - I look forward to seeing new ones now. Cheers!
Hello from Wisconsin. Thanks for the best laugh in a long time buddy. Starting the old Ramcharger was funny as fuck. Hearing protection lmao.
Haha thanks my friend
I like the way you just get in there and do it... not to worry, it will work. And if not... then just fix it up!
We just love you! You make us laugh so hard. Your cabin and hen house are awesome. And you're quite impressive with what you do at your age. ☺️
Thanks my friend I appreciate that and am very glad that you guys enjoy the videos

Those little spigots would be nice for a garden hose for a small garden plot or even for a quick wash off when the water is warm.
Dudes one in a million!
Thanks my friend!
Always great to watch your videos.your the best🤗
I was just thinking to myself.. this guy should make longer videos.. and then he throws up a 45 min video.. sweet!
Haha thanks my friend

The RED GREEN show from Canada LIVES!!
Man, I love this guy...he speaks to my very soul. And I had an 86" RamCharger that still lives on my buddy Cory's farm. :)
Love your videos. You're living the dream! And drove the piss out of that Dodge! Love it my friend thank you!
Like seeing you live the life you have and always remember it goes by faster than you think. Enjoy it!!

Thanks my friend
Hey buddy great video as always. I got me an old truck and I love it too. To bad to see the old girl go but it happens. Keep safe out there👍👍
Thanks buddy I appreciate you watching
The rain barrels will help out alot. Nice job and you always manage to bring a laugh or 2. To bad about the Dodge.Take Care
If you haven't already done it, you might want to put some screen or hardware cloth somewhere up the downspout or in the gutter to prevent large debris or a bird or squirrel carcass from getting into your water supply.
Awesome video man. Build those rain water barrels up on a pallet table or shelf. Keep up them uploads!!
Great vid..Hang in there on your projects..Like the Dodge, beast..And the water collection. Duces😎
Thanks for this! Your innovative and creative and I really enjoying watching your projects and how you figure it out! Love your dog!
Yeah, Coop seems like a super cool pooch

Chooch.
A word that has entered my future vocabulary.
I'm going to work "loud as piss" in there too.
Always great to see you. The tree's are looking good with some color on them.
Another great show Brother! Always entertaining. Sorry to hear about the charger and see it go. It's been a tank. Best wishes my Friend!
Thanks buddy! Yea it's too bad but been a great investment. Congrats on the baby girl as well my friend!
@@TraplinesandInlines , thank the Brother!
just get a couple more elbows for the bottom then you can get it off the deck and still keep the downspout on the corner.
Should put gutters on the chicken coup also make it easier to water them
You can use a over flow can or two on either side also put one on the chicken coop for there water
Lookin mint bud ! That’s going to work great Keep givin er!!!
Thanks buddy
Tip: Stick a nail into the tip of your caulk tube it will keep longer and keep it from drying out and plugging up.
Badass old truck. Worth fixing up.
Beauty truck. Love those old Ramchargers she's just missing that Ram on the hood. That's a great deal on the insurance. I don't think we got anything like that in Ontario.

Thank you my friend and they sure are great. My dream truck is an old ram charger with either 4bt or 12 valve cummins!
It cracks me up thinking about what your dogs thinking when you make videos. "Fuck he's losing his mind talking to him self again "
Buddy there’s nothing wrong with us helping you to continue producing great content.
Another great video! I think you might need a bigger barrel or more of them. looks good man always need water
I'm very interested in this guys trapping . He gets really nice furs
Love your love for the ram but damn I cannot imagine what that thing smells like inside wheewwweeee! All that bait. Lol
just put a cinder block or paver or something it the rain catcher can too keep it from moving. you could also make it wrap around the back of your cabin, buit that's more work! maybe find like a chain sawed bear totem and throw it in front of the can to hide it haha
"Naw, she's good boys". Truck stalls out for second time. "I gotta stop sayin that".
Install end caps down spout connector and gutter joiner first then caulk it.
It's possible you've blown the head gaskets / warped the heads by overheating the engine block. Hopefully it was just low on coolant :( Love everything you do, keep it up. It's great to watch...I've binged through the entire build so far and can't wait for expansion :)
We need to send him a sharpie... would be deadly
You can make straps to hold your down spouts out of your coke cans a little decor won’t hurt nobody it’s adds caricature to the cabin
Welcome back my friend everything is looking awesome
holy shite -- one of a kind!! Love you channel fellow Canadian!!!!
Hey buddy,
Ya know after looking in the shotgun seat of the RC yer rain barrels look mint beside the house, eh. Shame about supertruck but nothing lasts forever. U keep giving er. We'll wait for the next vid. 👍
Thanks buddy
Love the bush life videos! Sure is getting nice out there now. Take care.
Thanks my friend I am glad you enjoy
Looks like it will work to me. For a leak in the cooling system a raw egg put in will seal it for a while too. Al
Cabin is looking deadly man. Poochy is a great dog. Typical good lab. When I was your age I could eat like that too, never put on a pound, now, no way. Hope you find a good replacement for the Ram.

Living the good life. Camo paint the down pipes and you'll never know there are there. Get it done the way you want and send it. You heard. Lol
Hell yeah boy step on that gas pedal a lift and big wheels manual transmission and you have a badass truck 🤟

Should get a 55gallon plastic potable water container for your rain water catch system. But install your drain spouts before placing your tanks in place. Your other one sitting on the ground built a wooden platform for it
Could use one high up for a shower too.
Going Good!!!!
