Here's a compilation of trendy gift ideas that might be perfect for someone in your life! The great thing about DIY presents is that you can easily customise the design or characters to fit whatever insider joke you have with a certain person. For the bottle cap DIY I recommend using a higher quality air-dry clay because you need to sculpt some very small details. I made the mistake of trying to make my first version with very cheap clay and it didn't work at all. Cheap clay tends to contain a lot of paper fibres and melts when mixed with water. For this DIY you need a clay that turns smooth (not mushy!) when wet.

This was my first time trying this method and I was quite pleased! I noticed the elastic thread I used was a bit slippery so the knots sometimes didn't stay in place. I think nylon or regular thread would work better

As I'm in the US, I'm only addressing US law. Keep that in mind.
It would be great if the term "non-toxic" was regulated by some agency. Unfortunately, it isn't, and doesn't have a particular meaning (from what I can find). There is a US group called the Consumer Product Safety Commission that oversees product safety education and labeling among other things.
They discuss which products require labeling as hazardous. "To require labeling, a product must first be toxic, corrosive, flammable or combustible, an irritant, or a strong sensitizer, or it must generate pressure through decomposition, heat, or other means. Second, the product must have the potential to cause substantial personal injury or substantial illness during or as a result of any customary or reasonably foreseeable handling or use, including reasonably foreseeable ingestion by children."
The important part of that statement is this: "illness during or as a result of any customary or reasonably foreseeable handling or use."
That means the risk would be whenever the product is used as the manufacturer intended. It's counterintuitive, I know, but that's what it means. That's why I share the information as often as I do- because a lot of people don't realize that "non-toxic" doesn't mean safe, or safe to ingest.
Yes I agree! In this case the amount of liquid coming in contact with acrylic paint for a few seconds while pouring is low enough for it not to be a huge issue. A few years ago there was a huge trend for "edible" things on UA-cam and it was terrifying how many people confused non-toxic with edible. Paper and wax are non-toxic but it doesn't mean you can eat them. I spent endless comments explaining the difference.

Hi! You might want to try a different type of clay. Some clays dry smoother than others (eg Hearty Soft is a smooth clay and Daiso Clay tends to dry with a rough texture)

Hi Maqaroon! I have a question about your mochi squishy videos. I own a dozen of these mochis, but they're incredibly beat up, worn down, and paint is chipping off. I have yet to find a video that shows how to fully customize these squishies, making them look different from the original design. The only problem I have is that the paint I keep applying is cracking. I've been adding paint, then adding Mod Podge, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. If you know how to do this without letting the paint/mod podge peel off, could you please let me know? Thanks! Sincerely, Kitty.
there’s not a whole lot you can do to them. they’re slippery and rubbery so any paint you try to apply will inevitably come off

I think styrofoam might be difficult to cut with scissors. But you can definitely use a normal dishwashing or bath sponge!

You could just make the hole in the bottle without any driller,just take a knife and heat it,then push the knife through the bottle cap and the plastic will melt and make the hole

also for the emoji bottle is crayola air dry clay ok for it because i once did something with water with crayola clay and it fell apart so is it ok
I'm not a huge fan of Crayola Model Magic because it smells awful and the clay takes a long time to dry. So I wouldn't recommend using it on something that comes in contact with food. Any other type of air dry clay, even Daiso Clay, should be ok! I also have a tutorial for making DIY clay here (ua-cam.com/video/BtBmz6ltHfg/v-deo.html) and cold porcelain will definitely work for this
