i love that the feeling of her vocals match the meaning of the song. the song is supposed to mimic the experience of a panic attack and you can see it in the music video too. so awesome.
I knew Willow was unique and a good artist but whoa! This showed me that she’s a beast of a vocalist. You need so much control to do the type of vocal changes in tone and color she was doing. She also has such control of her vocal agility and the way she uses dynamics and the quick transition from a full chest voice with vibrato to a breathy heady sound!
I was shook here. This gave me such a jazz vibe similar to Esperanza Spaulding a bit!!

You should hear her sing her mother’s song by Wicked Wisdom. She did it for a birthday surprise on Red Table Talk and her vocals are so open and powerful. She has a voice that’s great for rock. It’s on YT somewhere
I feel personally proud of Willow for consistently creating and growing. I can imagine this song being performed on broadway

I really haven't heard a lot of Willows songs. I do recall her song years ago when she sung about whipping her hair back and forth. But now she's grown and it's so good to see her expressing her creativity and using her voice in her own way.

I think of this as art music and/or world beat. Super experimental and unusual. Although she's a better vocalist imo, it is in the vein of Bjork (only in terms of the undefined nature of her sound). Kind of all over the place, in a good way
