- YAMAHA TENERE 700 R&G SPINDLE SLIDER BOBBINS COMBO
R&G Racing Products have come up with a cool spindle slider that not only adds protection in the case of a fall but it also doubles up as paddock stand bobbins. Quality thinking for those that don't have a centre stand installed. The best of both worlds. Here's my install.

Great video, just what I was looking for - very clear. Thanks, ride safe
you're welcome, hadn't seen this message, thanks for watching 🙂
Great video. Straight to the point and informative. Plus 1 on subscribers and a hello from Texas.
THANKS MATE - welcome to the channel 🙂
Nice how to video 📹 😀, I think they should add some handy protection! Cheers, Steve
Thanks Stephen, they should do ... very handy for the paddock stand too 🙂👍🏼
Thanks - helpful video. No need to worry about the torque settings on the axle nut? This doesn’t impact that as you’re threading through? Cheers.
Correct mate, it just slides straight through the hollow axle. No need to loosen or indeed tighten the wheel nut 👍🏼
So how does this work when the chain needs adjustment. Do you need to loosen the spindle at all ? Thanks
YEH mate, takes about a minute to remove it, maybe less. I've been lucky so far that I've not had to do much chain adjustment on the T7, less wheelies these days haha.
How does one adjust the chain after installing these?
It’s an easy remove and refit. You literally only need to loosen the left hand nut to slide the spindle out. Takes only 30 seconds or so. You just need to make sure you have the 10mm sockets 👍🏼
Too bad you didn't demonstrate using it with the stand, but looks like a good product.
Thanks for watching yeh I actually don't have a paddock stand yet. I have a centre stand now but will eventually get a paddock stand for it as I may need to remove the centre stand at some point. Always worth having a paddock stand in the garage for sure.
The only downside to a spindle bobbin that I can see is ,it’s going to be a pain in the nuts to change a tube in the event of a flat. The wheel has to come off for the inevitable wrestle In the outback. 😢
TRUE, extra tools to carry too!
WARNING: Does not fit 2021 T7 model
Mine (ie the bike in this video) is the 21 model?
Rod I just received was short by about 10 mm on LHS taper. Possibly a one-off defect?
@@andrew390 what is the exact length? I’ll measure mine and let you know.
@@TheRiderGuider tapered LHS is 43 mm. All the components dimensions match the spec sheet that came in the box. If I remove the LHS cotton real space then I can fit the left nut but will need to be careful when using the paddock stand.
UPDATE: Just got new tyres / 1000 KM service and mechanic commented that my rear axle on RHS is a few threads further out. This could be the issue causing the 'length problem' resulting in me being unable to add LHS cotton real spacer.
