I remember when I was a teenager. A car with 77,000 miles would be considered fairly high miles. There would be rust around the wheel wells, rusted right through, and the engine area would be filthy with grease, oil, and road dust. They sold a product called GUNK that you’d spray all over the engine compartment to dissolve the "gunk". It worked, but they never looked CLEAN-clean again. It would need brakes and tires, guaranteed. I’d like to thank Dupont, 3M, and all the computer-based research & development for virtually immortalizing our modern cars. 😎

I'd stay away from anything older than a 2003 the head gaskets are a time bomb. I just bought this exact same car with 78000 miles on it. Within a month of normal gentle driving and checking the oil level the head gaskets let go. No warning nothing the car ran beautifully perfectly no overheating no misfiring then just out of the blue it overheated for no reason , and I'm a mechanic so I would have seen the symptoms.

I wont even give him one thousand bucks for this dumb Northstar V8 engine with plenty of problems.
