@RCOutdoors Thanks for the directions. Have you ever fished there when the water is colder, like now? From what I know is bowfin like warmer water but was wandering if you caught anything in the spring.
Nice video! I always wanted to catch a bowfin and while doing some research I found this place. Which part of the swamp is this? and I notice a buch of other people fishin in the background, is it always that crowded?
should of just let the bowfin take it down and then set the hook. i bowfin just about eveyday and get an easy 15 in literally 30 mins that are twice the size of them and use sunfish or crappie work best
if you have any bait fish i would use that, i live next to the Mississippi and i use shad and i catch 2 foot ones commonly and with bank poles i have caught 3 foot ones around 15 pounds with bluegill

Nice fishing! What is the biggest you all have caught? We have bowfin, but don't catch to many in our part of the Allegheny river.

You need bigger rods than that for big bowfin! They're one of the hardest fights in freshwater

We caught a couple at Glendale Lake a few years ago.
I go here and use night crawlers I catch about 10 in an hour I have a trailer at the trailer court about a mile away down towpath road
