I bought a secondhand crib with my kids and painted it. My oldest is 39 now. I’ve been flipping furniture most of my adult life but never really for profit. This crib is so much nicer in the white! ♥️✌🏼

We can’t resell cribs in our community. So my neighbor gave me hers for free 10 years ago! It’s all due to safety regulations that have gotten much stricter over the years (for good reason)!

I just want to mention that anytime you are looking to buy used furniture, please check for recalls. I used to work for a women's ministry that took in used furniture, including car seats. Nothing went back out the door without being run for a possible recall. You can go to the manufacturers website and run the serial number and date of manufacture. Honestly, you can purchase brand new and there still be a recall. My daughter-in-law had that happen to her. Thankfully, she had sent the warranty card in and the company contacted her. It's your baby's life! Please be careful 🙏 ❤. Lauren, beautiful job on both! 🙂👍👶

      Agree.
Seems excessive. If it took 6hrs and the total spend was $100, that's an hourly rate of around $50!!!!!!!
Only a fool would thrift a crib and then pay silly money to have it painted. In between coats drying FFT will be working on other projects and charging both customers for the same time. Not sure that's fair.

I know the idea is to paint it yourself, but not everyone is confident enough to do that. Thrifting a crib and then having it painted for those prices is not cost effective, and still out of the reach for most new parents.
