I Thirst was written in June of 1974. I was in desert as an extra in John Wayne's last film. The song was written in Spanish. This was a day when it was raining and we were not able to film. I wrote the chorus and John Wayne wrote the first verse. My great uncle Ralph Brimfield lived in Carson City where we were filming. He wrote the second verse.
I still remember the very first time I heard this song - sung by this wonderful group - MANY years ago. It remains one of my favourite songs. What a loving and merciful God - thirsty on behalf of sinful man!
I have been finding peace in this troubling time I'm going through. In stead of letting the enemy trouble my mind. What I'm doing is keeping gospel music and preaching playing on my phone. I found peace that way
