I was a student that time and was their to wave flags and welcome him. May the soul of the Royal Family find peace. We pray for them all.

Touching tribute to beloved king Birendra. Miss him. He was more of a perfect gentlemen than a shrewd ruler Nepal needed then. Now every Political leader wants to be a king and have a lions share. Such is the state. How can such a small nation with poverty line people afford it ? So disheartening and shameful scenario to the world eye. Moreso India and China benefitting thru compressing bilateral politics.
It has been over two decades and I still vividly remember when one fine afternoon our servants served the lunch and informed my mother that lunch has been served. My late mother, while going towards the dining room ordered her personal assistant to turn on the Tv, as she liked to watch news while having her supper. The entire family gathered on the dining table. When tv was turned on, we saw the news of this horrible incident. My mother burst into tears as she was a huge fan of the late Monarch. She ordered servants to remove the food from the dining table. None of us could eat anything that day. It was a very sad day . The late king was one of the most handsome men of his time. Very good looking, very handsome and dignified, well read and very well educated, articulate and soft spoken. The late king and the Queen were epitome of grace, dignity, elegance and style. Many people all over the world cried when they heard this horrendous news ( my late mother and I were among them and he was not even my sovereign) It was people’s love for him ( which he truly deserved) which made them cry . May the noble soul of Their Majesties and the souls of all those who lost their lives in this tragic incident, rest in eternal peace. Amen 🙏. We dearly miss you Your Majesties . May the great king’s name live for ever. Long live king BIRENDERA . 💐
