hi, just curious and new to crocheting 😊 Is there a negative side to double crochets? or did you just say that because thats whats most commonly used 🤔
I succeeded to complete the cardigan as you taught. It took 9 days to complete it. Very beautiful cardigan and I really like it. Very easy to understand. Thank you for your guidance. Love you 🥰🌼
I am a serious beginner, like I’ve never crocheted before but this is really making me want to learn. My brain already hurts from trying to take everything in but this cardigan is so cute, I will definitely be mastering the stitches and coming back to try and make this. Edit to the replies under this comment: I’ve been crocheting for a year now and I’ve improved so much. Thank you for all the encouragement. I have yet to make this pattern, as I’ve been busy and getting constantly distracted by other patterns but I am determined to make it one day! I hope you all do well in crocheting too!
I used to crochet a lot as a kid and just a few days ago I saw one of your videos on my recommended and remembered how much fun I actually had doing it. I'm definitely going to try and make this, your tutorials are so well-explained and easy to follow! thank you so much for indirectly reminding me of one of my childhood passions
Yes yes!! I love the fact that you had an illustration to explain the different pieces and their placements! I find it a bit hard to follow other tutorials on cardigans cause I need to visualize my steps before I start…Thank you!!❤️❤️
I love this cardigan so much, I've made it twice now and it's just such a fantastic piece to add to the wardrobe. The instructions are super clear, it works up beautifully, and it looks so professional when it's finished. I made my first one in a berry piece over the summer and I've just finished a second one in more of a rusty orange. You always put out such articulate and easy to follow tutorials, Viv! I learned to crochet using your ribbed beanie video and have made a little over a half a dozen of those. I've since branched out into learning to knit, but I like to keep coming back to your channel to see the new projects you've been putting out. I'm so parasocially proud of you!! lol
Hey! I am very late to the party but maybe you could help me. I am very confused about how to measure the back panel width. The cardigan is clearly off-shoulder so I should account for that in the width, right? Because in the video it is said to just measure from shoulder to shoulder
Hi! I usually don't leave any comments, but i just finished this cardigan after a few weeks of work, working on and off on the project, and i can say that it turned out so nice ! thanks a lot for the tutorial! I used a 4mm hook, which is a bit smaller than the one used for the tutorial. So, for those wondering, i think that you can just measure the piece that u're working on as u go with cm or inches, and it will turn out just as fine. I have larger shoulders, so I adapted my pattern, and the back panel is 56cm wide = 21 and 1/2 inch. Turned out perfect! Have fun crocheting everyone!
Okay so I’m 9 months pregnant and I haven’t been crocheting for a while since I’ve been mid semester as well as moving and being pregnant. Anyways, I miss crocheting but I’m not able to do it now as everything is still in boxes 🥲🤣 So lately I’ve been watching your videos before bed and on top of genuinely learning a lot, you also have such a soothing voice that it helps me get better sleep! I usually can only sleep an hour or two at a time but after one of your videos I can sleep the whole night. I hope that doesn’t seem offensive because I promise your videos aren’t like boring me to sleep or anything, they are so educational and helpful to me. Also I’ve never made clothes so it’s so interesting how they come together
Fun fact: The lemon peel stitch is also known as a houndstooth stitch if you switch colours between rows! You can type it up and you can make a really nice sweater vest!
I like how you do everything slowly so we can see exactly what you are doing. I am going to try making this garment. Thank you for sharing. Bravo teacher.👍🏿👏🏿
With your videos, I honestly sit down and just enjoy them so much! They're very relaxing and afterwards I can put them in my to-do list bc they're always super cute as well :)
This took me a little over a week to complete but I love it sooooo much! I figured out how to make it two colors split down the middle and it looks soooo awesome!
Omg i finished your sweater tutorial *yesterday* and it's one of my favorite pieces I've made! Can't wait to start this one with the weight three skeins I randomly bought the other week. Very serendipitous 🖤 Thank you SO much!
This is literally the best tutorial I have ever seen Finally I can make a cardigan. Thank you so much!! I will be making three of these for my kiddos for Christmas:))
Hey! I'm a beginner. Can you please tell me whether you used the same yarn as her? Can we use a pure acrylic or cotton yarn? As I cannot find such yarns in my country
hi! i literally just binged half your videos, could you please do a tutorial for a literal granny square, im just starting and all the other tutorials ive watched are hard to understand, yours are actually so easy to understand and your videos are actually fun to watch.

To stop the weird increase after a bit, try skipping the last one or two stiches instead of fully completing the round. It gives a more uniform shape. I started doing that after like the 5th or 6th round.
I’m currently knitting and was looking for a cardigan project todo came across your video and I may not crochet but this has definitely given me an idea of how I’m meant to assemble with my project Thankyou so much!!!
Here's the finished result: www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/project/Pastel-oversized-puffy-sleeve-cardigan/23d7dae0-c0f1-44ba-8f0d-ae985b82aa0b I used a category 4 yarn and didn't adjust it so it ended up coming out oversized which I absolutely love. Thinking of adding pockets. Thanks for this easy to follow tutorial!
I can’t believe that I completely missed this comment! It looks so good and wow, your first crochet clothing piece?! I love the colors. They’re so fun and the cardigan overall looks really well done!
I just picked up my crochet hook again for the fall season ☺. Cardigans are my favourite thing to make!! I'm currently using your tutorial, and I'm very excited to start/ finish it! I also just got a huge bag or weight 3 yarn recently for free. It's a royal blue 😍. Awesome video!
