Just to the left of that boat ramp is a great place to wade. Go about 20 or 30 ft to your left and enter the water through the bushes. Wade out parallel to the pass
and cast towards the pass. You can wade all the way out to the channel That goes to the campground. I've caught hundreds of trout along that edge.

Hey @eriklarson9137 what a small world. 😁 I think if it's a public boat ramp, I would think it should be okay but if it's private or a Marina owns it? Then I would say no. FWC has to investigate every call as I'm sure you know. That officer probably just wanted Thonny to go somewhere else just to diffuse the situation. Some ppl have nothing better to do and think they own the ramps. Next they'll claim he caught their snook. 😂

Great video! I've only ever had good experiences with Florida game wardens. A lot of the time if it's a slow day we have a professional chat on who/what/where/when for the fishing, then if it's a new spot I'm trying we'll have a convo about what the spot is usually like & if they have any recommendations + some off topic about if they've caught anything lately (or anyone) and chat about flying/travel
Just follow the rules that keep the fishing good for everyone and everyone's happy. People can complain about commercial fishing all day, but recreational cheating just cheats each other out. Simple as

He is talking like he is cool and still wants to check your cooler. This Country you have to pay for a license, pay to park pay for your fuel and boat and still get charged if you catch a fish 1in short for $1000. Suck the life out of a man trying to provide for himself and have fun. Sad thing as if they made fish!

They have really cracked down on the desoto ramp, i used to fish it during the off days, avoided it on the weekend. But now the stupid parking guy always harass us. Disabled people dont have many fishing spots that are actually accessible. florida is getting ridiculous. The piers are too long of a trek for disabled fishers.
