We shouldn’t get mad at our kids for always being on video games or doing other stupid things but then we won’t let them get in a creek and fish and have a good time. So I guess I just expect the worst from these guys..
I don’t understand why someone cannot enter the PUBLIC WATER, or wade fish there…or ANYWHERE that it’s public owned? Please help me with that. Also, what state is this?
Yeah he needs to have some public skills,no need to be an arse.I would be calling the main DNR office. You guys are awesome and thank you for giving the lady the fish,I would have too.
Two smart ass comments by the warden " can't you cast that far ?"" And "how long have you been fishing?" Equivalent to the traffic cop that says"how long have you been driving?" Just being snarky and escalating instead of de-escalation !
I don't know anything about Georgia, but where I live we call these "game wardens" Barney Fifes because we have to educate them on our state's fishing regulations. I've been fishing for more years than those guys have been alive and I deliberately carry our state fishing regulations with me and read them off to them every single time they make a claim that is false.
So you have to measure fish you release in GA? I'm so confused as to what he was going to write a ticket for. You weren't over the catch or size limit. You can give fish away as long as you aren't over the catch limit. Was it going to be for wading in the water?
Yea after we went through the whole spill about limits and sizes that really didn’t have anything to do with our fishing that day. He decided to make us leave because I had been in the water. There is a sign there not anywhere near the water that says you must fish from the bank. Not a ga law but a county rule specific to that park apparently. However my son never got into the water or did anything wrong and he was still asked to leave.🤷♂️ I don’t know where you live but it’s getting tough out here in middle ga.😂
The warden didn’t need to find anything you gave him the reason by wading in the water when it states you can”t. He was doing his job and if we wanted to be strict he could have cited you, instead he opted to have you leave. Count your blessings and go to the next fishing hole.
That’s true he could have cited me the dad for being in the water so I’m thankful that he didn’t. However my son who drove there on his own had a valid fishing license as well never got into the water or did anything wrong was also asked to leave. As much as I love law enforcement in my opinion that’s abuse of power to ask someone who is legally fishing to leave a public fishing area. Oh yea we actually did go find another fishing hole! Thanks for watching!
Actually he didn’t touch the water with his body part, it was his shoes so if you read that and you were in a boat would your body be touching the water.
I have had several encounters with game wardens. This particular 1 I assure is not common. Most are respectful and friendly. They do a job that most people do not want.
@@michaelcampbell7759no they don’t. There’s a huge waiting list to get on the DNR in Michigan. It’s a highly coveted job. What are talking about. It’s a really safe, well paying, great benefit having job. Wild statement.
I’ve had similar experiences here in Missouri wasn’t a game warden but a police officer though trying to tell me I was trespassing on private property whilst I was in a canoe in creek
There seems to be confusion in the state of ga about keeping spotted bass and the size limits. We may do a video in the future. We called the ga dnr we were surprised when they told us spotted bass on public property needed to be 12 inches because they were hard to identify.
Really that game warden has to be an asshole. And why the hell does he need his drivers license! He's not driving he's fishing! This guy is rude and these guys should file a complaint on his ass! His supervisor's should put his ego in check! There is no sense in a public servant acting like that. If he treats every person he comes in contact like that, his ass should be fired!
Here in Texas there is a spillway on Guadalupe river and there are signs prohibiting you from getting that close to spillway.I assume its to keep knot heads from trying to swim there.Im not sure though.I dont see any signs where you are.Not sure about that particular bass, not sure if we have those. You did catch a crappie though, those definitely have a limit. The regulations apply to any body of water thats not private i believe.
After watching the end of the video I resend my comment! He was a power freak. You did the correct thing but I feel that you should make a trip to see his supervisor. Ask for your equipment back and an apology from him face-to-face. You might also ask for a written approval to fish that area
Someone please explain to me what the heck "umpteen years," is. I was astonished at the G.W. P. Officer's attitude and lack of respect. He needs to be run back through their Academy or dismissed.
Officer was in the right. The warden enforcing the the legal length limit is correct better read your regs. No wadding is no wadding. Tried to say you had not kept fish but you had. Beetle spin gang should have got tickets! You all were in the wrong .
We read our regs. No limit on spotted bass which is what we gave! Didn’t realize giving someone fish meant you kept it. Didn’t see any signs saying not to be in the water or else we wouldn’t have
If giving fish away is the same as keeping them... I'd be in jail! Years ago, here in North Carolina I gave the guy next to me at least 25 bream, there's a 30 a day limit. The game warden had been watching us. He came over as the guy had 59 total in his possession. I didn't know the guy. I spoke up and said 1/2 of them were mine. He left him alone then. Butt as we were leaving I told the guy to put 30 fish in a bag and I'd meet him up the road. As were were pulling out we were stopped and checked again. I'm glad he didn't have 59 in his "possession" ...
The warden was saying there's a sign regarding not being allowed in the water, was there actually a sign there? If so, is it something you could show us? Thanks!
@@FishHookedFishing , that's what I suspected, it didn't sound like something very noticable, and, to be honest, the warden seemed a bit unfriendly and condescending.
Nah , that guy is just an ego maniac . You gotta act like that to a father and son fishing legally?? This is why people don’t like game wardens . He took an opportunity to educate and turned it into a bad experience.. I’ve only had a few experiences with wardens over the years for license checks, and they have all been with guys just like that .. zero reason to make you leave .. awful discretion on his part
Here in pa, and as far as I know, there are different size and creek limits on differnt fish depending on the water way,,, so. For me this is odd ,,very odd
Sweet lady was very thankful for the fish i found a guy like that one time probably in his 70s I gave him probably 10 catfish he said I thank god sent you to help me tonight I felt so good about that
You: enjoy catching fish. Also you: keep all the little fish and give em away to someone who’s gonna eat em. Also you five months later: how come there ain’t no fish here anymore?
@davecfishing7907; so if one person thinks it’s ok, now ten people think it’s okay. When ten people think it’s ok now 100 people think it’s ok. Now they’re ain’t no fish. See a trend amigo??
Typically catch & release are good habitats but if your that lady and you have got more days in the month then your money can stretch, those fish are her family's next meal so realize there are alot of families struggling today so maybe next time u will have a choice to release those fish or FEED A FAMILY
I wish we could see the sign that restricts contact with the water. Was it posted in an obvious place? (How big was it?) If so folks have a responsibility to stop and read them. Folks also need to read those little FREE booklets that your Game and Fish / Parks and Wildlife dept provide. That game warden was pretty nice. Entering water that has a no contact designation could have gotten you a ticket. Folks need to actually read the rules EVERY year. Best wishes, it turned out good. No fine, no tickets. 👍
You’re right! We probably should read a little more. There were no signs anywhere near the water and I’m not sure where the sign is that he was talking about. We’ll definitely know for next time tough👍

I see a truck that says Marshal? I do not see Georgia Department of Natural Resources? I also noticed he didn’t identify himself as a game warden much less any other official department. Guys you got duped. What you should have done was actually call the game warden.
If the sign says you can't go in the water, then you can't go in the water. Where i live, anything you shoot or catch counts against your bag limit- even if you give them away. If someone sees you that is. When it comes to hunting or fishing, the laws are confusing and just plain dumb. They do that on purpose.
Starrs mill. I watched this because I recognized that. Yes it is Line creek . I googled Starrs mill fishing, and yes it states no body contact with the water. Lake Kedron , Peachtree, and Horton , McIntosh fall under said rules. I guess if you went down hwy 85 to Coweta(bridge at Coweta , Fayette line), it does matter because you can swim or get in the water at line creek nature reserve or def Lake Peachtree, which I have personally seen as I live off that lake. It's EXTREMELY hypocritical for them to say it's ok in this part of line creek but not here. He seems to back pedal on lengths , amount of fish you can take. The most informative piece is about if you give fish away to folks asking for them. Hence I fish for fun , throw back . This cement that because they , Johnny law , will hold you to that..They , the receiver, could say you gave them ALL the fish..
Tons of fun! It did look to me that the fish were small, and should have been thrown back. Those are too small in my state. Length Limit: Largemouth bass: 14 inches minimum unless otherwise posted.
They were spotted bass. Red eyes tongue patch the whole 9 yards. Spotted bass in the state of ga have no minimum length except for lake Lanier where they have to be 14 inches minimum. The spots hybridize with our native shoal bass which is a big problem in our streams and rivers. We don’t have any small mouth bass any where near us which he referred too. Thanks for watching
You complied for no reason….if you didn’t commit a crime there’s no reason you needed to show your drivers license…and the lady got to stay and fish…some cops go way above the law
I was just there for the first time last week. I was actually kicked out of lake kedron and was directed by the marshal to come here as it’s legal to fish there as long as you have a license.
The county where we fish in ga only allows residents from their own county to fish in their reservoirs unless you buy a 300$ a year parking pass. The other park we were at is one of the only exceptions.
Marshal did the same to me at a lake in Peachtree city. I never ever see anyone fishing it. Those rich people there got better things to do than fish. Why can I not just pay a day pass like every other county. Fucking blows my mind.
This warden was way out of line. This young son will take this experience for the rest of his life… very sad… power trip…. education is a good thing but crucifixion is terrible.
I never heard no contact with water, I think the judge see this video he would die laughing so hard. I can say this if any law was broken that's 100% ticket no breaks. So they did not breack one law.
That would not of happened in Missouri! You would have gotten several tickets and asked to leave! They have more rights than any other law enforcement agency! Hell, they do not need a search warrant to come in your house and search your freezer for wild game or fish!!!!! You were lucky!
File a complaint aginst him, if you don't he will continue to do what he is doing. He has no idea what he is talking about. He's a tyrant and needs to be stopped.
I ALWAYS have a printed copy of the regs with me of the area I am fishing. Never use my phone... Along with the standard regs, I will have a copy of any special rules for that specific area. It has saved my butt several times. Wardens may have a basic idea of the regs, but they can't know the details of every single spot.

I don’t understand why someone cannot enter the PUBLIC WATER, or wade fish there…or ANYWHERE that it’s public owned? Please help me with that. Also, what state is this?
Yeah we can’t understand that either! Lol this is GA
Good video showing that game warden was in the right and how he was calm and collective and nice when you're wrong you're wrong good video thanks guys
Thanks for watching!
Chad loves Barney Fife
Keep fishin. I love getting out with my son when we can get together. Nothing better.
Stupod
THAT COP DID YOU WRONG,YOU HAD A RIGHT TO FISH THERE
You guys are just stand up guys 😂 I feel the fish cop was very nice and tried to be helpful
Why do people take jobs like this that they obviously don't like. This cop was just aggressively rude in his responses.
That's wrong to keep them small fish like that let the damn things grow
Show me the man and ill find you his crime . Our Country is in trouble.
People say we're going fishing!! Don't add word normal unless you were up to mischeif😂😂
Could've been a ticket for breaking the law. He said read the sign. Respect the law .
Imagine if our forefathers where here to see this.
I can’t imagine my grandfather hearing this!😂
So is there a size limit on spotted bass?
Only at lake Lanier
There seems to be confusion in the state of ga about keeping spotted bass and the size limits. We may do a video in the future. We called the ga dnr we were surprised when they told us spotted bass on public property needed to be 12 inches because they were hard to identify.
Really that game warden has to be an asshole. And why the hell does he need his drivers license! He's not driving he's fishing! This guy is rude and these guys should file a complaint on his ass! His supervisor's should put his ego in check! There is no sense in a public servant acting like that. If he treats every person he comes in contact like that, his ass should be fired!
From now on, I am going to refer to you guys as Bo and Luke. Apparently, Boss Hog told Roscoe Picotrain to come down and show you the law.
Yeah there we no signs anywhere near the water. And the crappie limit 30 per person daily.
Old warden had a woodpecker .
He musta really got turned on about hassling those fellas having a family outing .
SON, Years ago BEFORE you were born there was a song that said, "I fought the LAW and the LAW Won! Glad BOTH of you were compliant!❤Mom
That’s right!
Didn’t see any signs saying not to be in the water or else we wouldn’t have
There's one of them boot lickers
If giving fish away is the same as keeping them... I'd be in jail! Years ago, here in North Carolina I gave the guy next to me at least 25 bream, there's a 30 a day limit. The game warden had been watching us. He came over as the guy had 59 total in his possession. I didn't know the guy. I spoke up and said 1/2 of them were mine. He left him alone then. Butt as we were leaving I told the guy to put 30 fish in a bag and I'd meet him up the road. As were were pulling out we were stopped and checked again. I'm glad he didn't have 59 in his "possession" ...
Wow!
You can’t be telling anyone anything, your wife has your balls in her purse so go make her a sandwich and let the men fish.
We have no contact lakes around here. If it's posted, then there's no argument.
The warden was saying there's a sign regarding not being allowed in the water, was there actually a sign there? If so, is it something you could show us? Thanks!
Yeah he there was a sign. We didn’t see it and we will look for it next time we go. There are no signs anywhere near the water though
@@FishHookedFishing , that's what I suspected, it didn't sound like something very noticable, and, to be honest, the warden seemed a bit unfriendly and condescending.
Yeah definitely seems like they would put signs near the water! We’ll know for next time I guess
This is why people hate law enforcement
In the parking lot over here at the apartments, I was walking through the gravel to go check the mail and stepped off the curb
Yeah it was definitely odd
I knew Line Creek as a child in Coweta County, and i know where people swim in the river.
Always a moron like Esther here, running their ignorant mouth. Warden checked the size, yet Esther somehow knows better. What a dingus you are!
Its a river, they replenish faster than lakes or ponds
@davecfishing7907; so if one person thinks it’s ok, now ten people think it’s okay. When ten people think it’s ok now 100 people think it’s ok. Now they’re ain’t no fish. See a trend amigo??
Typically catch & release are good habitats but if your that lady and you have got more days in the month then your money can stretch, those fish are her family's next meal so realize there are alot of families struggling today so maybe next time u will have a choice to release those fish or FEED A FAMILY
What county was that?
Fayette county
Would 100% file a complaint on that Warden
just a heads up you have your drivers license in full view at 16:07
I wish we could see the sign that restricts contact with the water.
@@FishHookedFishing man! Thank you for such a kind response. You guys both seem like the kind of folks I'd be glad to have as neighbors or kinfolk. Wishing you tight lines and blessings.
Thanks for tuning in! We definitely support our law enforcement and always looking to improve in any way! Tight lines and God bless!
Here's another boot lickers
The game warden was a tyrant you didn't do nothing wrong and did not deserve any tickets at all y'all handle yourself respectfully and too him respectfully when he was acting like an authoritarian , documenting this interaction posting, his actions will reflect on himself
Well he did wade into the water that says no bodily contact.
I Have always helped others get their limit of fish
Wow!😮Still gotta watch out for the "G.I. Joe Game Warden". Got 4 sets of cuffs on one belt. He's after you 'n your buddies.😊😅😂
😂
looks like stars mill off of Ga hwy 85?
That’s it!
Aye boys that’s what I call fishing right there
Is that the one and only game warden magnet himself??
I see a truck that says Marshal? I do not see Georgia Department of Natural Resources? I also noticed he didn’t identify himself as a game warden much less any other official department. Guys you got duped. What you should have done was actually call the game warden.
It could have gone bad. Thanks for the video
Great Video!
If the sign says you can't go in the water, then you can't go in the water. Where i live, anything you shoot or catch counts against your bag limit- even if you give them away. If someone sees you that is. When it comes to hunting or fishing, the laws are confusing and just plain dumb. They do that on purpose.
Ok I’m confused. That guy was not a Ga game warden?! Was he a sheriff deputy?
He was actually a marshal
Was he a legit game warden? I never seen a “Marshall” game warden. The state website says marshals do a lot of things but not game enforcement.
He was a actually a marshal
No good deed goes unpunished. Warden is power-tripping jackass.
Length Limit:
Largemouth bass: 14 inches minimum unless otherwise posted.
So if you catch fish and give 10 fish away to another fisherman, does that count against his account, you know it will damn cops
Not if you’re still together.
It looks like the warden was looking for any thing to get he could get you for
I was just there for the first time last week. I was actually kicked out of lake kedron and was directed by the marshal to come here as it’s legal to fish there as long as you have a license.
Why did Marshall kick you off lake
The county where we fish in ga only allows residents from their own county to fish in their reservoirs unless you buy a 300$ a year parking pass. The other park we were at is one of the only exceptions.
Marshal did the same to me at a lake in Peachtree city. I never ever see anyone fishing it. Those rich people there got better things to do than fish. Why can I not just pay a day pass like every other county. Fucking blows my mind.
This warden was way out of line. This young son will take this experience for the rest of his life… very sad… power trip…. education is a good thing but crucifixion is terrible.
Welcome to america, the land of the free right?
I never heard no contact with water, I think the judge see this video he would die laughing so hard. I can say this if any law was broken that's 100% ticket no breaks. So they did not breack one law.
I would definitely file a complaint on him. Otherwise he's going to do that to somebody else
do Police have any important task to do; such as catching criminal? instead of harassed a person fishing?
Was he a game warden or the local Marshal? His truck said Marshal. All the GA game wardens I see wear green.
Yeah he was actually a marshal
That would not of happened in Missouri! You would have gotten several tickets and asked to leave! They have more rights than any other law enforcement agency! Hell, they do not need a search warrant to come in your house and search your freezer for wild game or fish!!!!! You were lucky!
Thats tipical that the game wardens do know the laws and regulations in any state. He just lies just like any law enforcement officers.
Hope he didn't want ya'll clear of the area before he did whatever he wanted to her.
Wardens may have a basic idea of the regs, but they can't know the details of every single spot.
in FL they did away with paper print lisences have to use your phone now or buy a card for $6 sucks
