You did a great job. I have been customizing 1/12 WWE Elite figures and repainting eyes myself on a custom headsculpt but nice to see how nice those iris waterslides look. Might use that as an option in the future. Subscribed. I like your work!
Thanks so much for this video! I just ordered a set of those pupils! I wasn't a fan of that Ragnorok head for Thor (seemed kinda of small) but I just might try this. I already pryed the helmet and hair off, but maybe I'll put it back and just switch the wings from the other head. Keeping it simple.
My hands are always super shaky it takes some practice it helps to hold your breath and make sure your hands have support. Luckily the water slides have a good working time so you can move them around a lot till you get it right.
Dang this is cool i was also planning to do this, because i wanted a classic comic book thor and once i found this i was like Dang i should do this. But one thing the magic eraser is it like a microfoam and with some nail polish remover or an actual like magic eraser from Mister Clean.
I tried to use just the magic eraser but that wasn't working so I used the rubbing alcohol. I would not use nail polish remover unless you want to get rid of all the paint in the eyes.
A magic eraser is a cleaning sponge type thing they sell at most stores. This is the best to use cause it takes off paint slowly and doesn't hurt the plastic. You could also use rubbing alcohol which will remove paint quickly just harder to control and nail polish remover will work very well but if you use to much or keep it on to long it can melt plastic.
Thanks for the waterslide decal info and tutorial. As far as the helmet's crack... I probably would have tried to paint over it with the same shade of silver that was applied to Thor's silver discs (ala Giant-Man Thor); and then added some black to the boots (in order differentiate the boot from the straps.) PS: You should consider exchanging that Hammer while the figure is still plentiful. I speak from experience when I say that the only reason the handle is so loose is because the plastic was stuck and twisting is causing it to shear off.
Yeah, I might try getting a new hammer it isn't to bad just when posing it always has to be adjusted. Good idea on the boots I definitely need to paint them!
You can use mark setter and decal softener, there’s a bunch of videos about Gunpla and decal application on UA-cam. Tamiya Mr Hobby. Or just buy Mafex Thor , that plastic ML cape is crap , as is most of Hasbro Marvel Legends Figures 😂 no offense

Imo they honestly should’ve just make the regular head have normal eyes. Would’ve been able to just have two characters in one figure

for me i will just paint the eyes to all blue for a lightning effect

Using a decal softener sounds like it would help. I love Mafex stuff but they are a little small compared to ML so it is hard to fit them in.
I taped the eye brows and lips to protect it from the alcohol cleaner and the tape took a lot of paint from the lips 😫 fml
Brutal :( Usually I don't have any issues but sounds like they didn't seal the paint well on yours.
