Dead on with your evaluation. I have been taking an extra suit case and packing Juanita’s ever time I fly to the west coast because you can’t get them in Texas. Then I discovered Josefina’s and I can get those at Kroger in Texas. So I was happy I don’t have to pack them on trips but your video made me sad that I am supporting Frito-Lay.
We would pack our suitcases with Juanitas as well 😁 they really are that good! We personally prefer to support smaller & local company’s especially since there are so many good ones out there. Thanks for the kind words 😊
I recently purchased a bag of Juantonio's thinking it was my regular tortilla chip. Then I noticed the name change and their "story" on the back. It was so below standard that I gave it to my daughter for the kids. Fortunately, I had discovered Josefina's over a year ago and would purchase what was on sale. The Juantonio's chips were DRY, small, fairly uniform in size, and had a brownish tinge like many other tortilla chips. Gone was the light, puffy, crisp chip. Maybe for this video, the old recipe ended up in a new Juantonio's bag? It is only Josefina's from now on. Sadly, I am unable to support my Pacific Northwest company anymore. We live in the Pacific Northwest and it was Juantonio's in our stores. Go figure.
Thank you for sharing this! We have noticed the Juanitas taste and texture is different now that it it is Juantonios…not sure what happened. Josefina’s is a very good option in our opinion as well. 🙌🏻

I just go with whichever is cheaper. Lol But its usually Juanitas.
We typically do the same. 🙌🏻
Watching this video while eating Josefina chips with salsa. It’s by backup of Juanita’s isn’t available. They taste the same to me.
Absolutely 100% agreed! 🙌🏻
Josefina's seem have more salt.
Could be, the last two bags of Josefina’s we’ve had hasn’t been great 🤷🏻♀️
