    This is a very good review of the Komodo’s! Thank you! I am concerned that you aren’t able to program the levels of speed in PAS and with you talking in Kilometers, I’m concerned that PAS 2 and 3, may be set too fast for an older woman, new to e-bikes, like myself. I would love to set PAS 2 &3 down. Will I be sorry that I can’t?? In mph how fast is PAS 2&3?

    Hi.. in the description you said the Minimum Saddle Height is 28" , but on the cyrusher's web it's 31.5", is it mean we can cut off the seat post so it could go lower to 28" for kommoda? I was wondering how low Kuattro can go if we cut off the seat post too.. please advice!

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Рік тому

      Hey there! The way that Cyrusher defines minimum saddle height is seat to the ground, whereas most people measure that as seat to full extension of the pedal. So I say 28" from minimum seat to the pedal at it's furthest away from the saddle. So, on the Kuattro, it's about 29" or so. A LITTLE bit taller than the Kommoda, but not by much. But because of the larger tires, it adds another little bit for Cyrusher's measurement, where they measure from the ground to the saddle.

    • @stevanuslianto612
      @stevanuslianto612 Рік тому

      @@Ennovation thanks for the explanation! i'm 5'6" (167cm) i wonder if kuattro would fit my height. or can we cut off the seatpost to make it lower? or are you suggest kommoda for my height? thanks a lot!

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Рік тому

      Depending on your budget, which i understand is always a factor, I would also throw the Ovia into the mix here. The Ovia has all the upgraded aspects of the Kuattro, but has a higher clearance than the Kommoda, so you don't smash or scrape your cranks when trying to make turns. If you wanted to on the Kuattro, you do have some room to shave down the seatpost tube itself. I'd watch that rear rack clearance on the seat, or if you didn't want the rear rack, you could shave that down quite a bit. A pretty decent-sized mod, but not terribly difficult to execute on. I think the seatpost on the Kuattro goes all the way down inside of the seatpost tube, so I don't think cuting the seat post would make a difference here. I think you'd be fine on the Kuattro, based on height alone, seam measurement would be something to consider in this as well.

    • @stevanuslianto612
      @stevanuslianto612 Рік тому

      @@Ennovation i like ovia but its out of the budget range.. so i opt to kommoda or kuattro. my inseam is around 29" or 74cm. and i hope i can stand comfortably while sit on the saddle, because i will carry kids. if the height is not an issue i like kuattro more, but if its too high then i'll go with kommoda.. what do you think?

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Рік тому +1

      Hey Jim! I totally get that idea! I think what I've found is that everyone is looking for different details, like someone may care about hydraulic brakes more than the range, or top speed. So, I tried to set mine up with the chapters, so people can skip around to find the important information for them. I also don't usually put prices in the videos, because these companies are always having a sale, and it is a bit of a hassle to constantly be adjusting my review details. I do sometimes list the price in the description with the specs, but I always link directly to the product page so people can get the most up-to-date prices from the brands themselves. Hey Gail! Working on the review now! Just verifying my measurements, so wanted to answer some of your questions. First off, first impression is great on the Ovia. New display is sweet, suspension is upgraded, slick look and feel, feels pretty polished.

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Рік тому +1

      The height on the Ovia from top of the seat to the floor is 35 inches. But, the seattube doesn’t allow the full seat post to slide down, so if you wanted to, you could hack off 2 inches from the seat post it comes with and being that height to 33”.
      Pedal clearance is just over 6” so a big improvement from the Kommoda there.
      Stand over height is 18”
      Reach is around 18-20” and I’ve got the bars positioned pretty much straight up and down (so you could tilt them back if needed)

    Like the looks of the bike, but the smallish battery and the fact that the throttle does it give you full power at all times is a real turn off to me. I don't know why these companies insist on determining the power available at the throttle by the pedal assist modes, makes no sense to me.

    • @Ennovation

      Hey there! Looks are killer, definitely agree, and the smaller battery has been a complaint here from a few different people, which I totally get. I also don't like that the throttle is dictated by the PAS, BUT i did hear someone say that if you were showing someone the bike, or letting them ride it, that it does keep them safer and make sure they don't yank the throttle and end up on a Friday fails somewhere :P Not enough reason for me to want that feature, but hey maybe there's some thought behind it lol

    Just took delivery of my new Kommoda yesterday and got an unpleasant surprise! They have now downgraded the hub output to just 250 watt and also placed a speed reduction to limit it to 15 mph to bring it into line with UK legislation for street bikes.
    They also include a thumb throttle kit for you to fit and they say that for users wanting to remove the restrictions for off road use, etc, they have introduced a video guide showing how to do it.
    I contacted customer care and asked where the video was - this was obviously a new idea to them and eventually they gave up and asked me to submit a ticket for technical help - this I did and received an acknowledment but that was it! Nothing more heard!
    So if I haven't heard any more from them by tommorow it's going back = all the fuss about the powerful motor and then they deliver a 250 watt - not good!

      @Ennovation  2 роки тому +1

      Oh, man! Sounds like a bit of a mistake. Selling it as a 750, but delivering the 250 version instead. it is cool that they are offering something in line with restrictions over there, but if you wanted the 750 version, well that's about 500 watts short! I agree with you there! If It was going to be my personal Ebike, I'd probably want it to sit a bit higher off the ground than it does, and also would want a larger capacity battery. I don't MIND charging the bike every day, but I wouldn't want to have to charge it every day :P

      You might have to just copy and paste that link for it to work! HD version is currently processing, so in a little bit, the quality on it should jump up pretty good.
