I wish tiny homes would have been around a long time ago. I tend to like the park models the best, but I like looking at all of them. I would love one if I was single. So nice you can live next door to your mom. I'm sure she will love the pumpkin. Rapture is soon, and puppy's go too. :)

Hi Brenda, that is turning out so pretty with the fall leaves and lights added. Your mom will love it. I have always like the tiny house community His name is Randy and if I remember right his in Tennessee. ( I think ). I just love a tiny home. My husband added a really nice porch on our home and a sunroom and an extra big bedroom with a big walk in closet which I love. We have lived here for 38 years. He did it all himself . He had help his dad on his church at age 13 or 14. At 15 1/2 he was working at a construction company. Now he has built church, schools and ran many jobs. So if anything was to happen to my husband. I just couldn’t stay here. So many memories and to much for me to keep up. So I think I would sell our house and get me a tiny house. Thank the Lord, I still have him and right now we are enjoying our RV and our home. But like you said “it’s a bit much to clean. Love hearing from you. 🤗❤️
Wow. Your husband is full of knowledge and experience. I wish I had that kind of knowledge. I have always wanted to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity not to only volunteer for a great cause but to learn better skills in doing so. I’m am happy you have him and the life you two have built together. You are right, when you are alone things can get a little overwhelming and managing something smaller is much easier to do. @@simplylivingtiny yes, we are going to Florida again this winter. We go to homes County in Ohio to stay some to. That’s where many Amish live. Use to see a lot of amish buggies there but now you see electric bikes😂. We do like coming back to our home my husband loves to spend time in our pool. I like to get back to my sewing - craft room. I do make quits but I do some wool crafts things and with fabric too. I know you said “ you like to know a little about us too “. My husband just put a washer dryer combo in our 5th wheel. I wonder if I would that. Well we tried it out and I love it. It gives us a little more room using this one. Well I love you Brenda and hope you are having a great week. Thank you so much for sharing more about you and your husband! The cabinet doors my uncle put on under the stairs was made by the Amish that lived near him in IN. I love homemade quilts. I have some put away that was by family members of long ago. They are a treasure to family and friends. So happy you both get to travel and do things you enjoy! May God Bless you Both😊❤️💕
Hi Brenda-Tomorrow will be 6 wks. since I ordered my tiny. Target date for finish is 10-12 wks. Halfway there! As this will be my second tiny, I can vouch for all your excellent reasons for going tiny. It is so liberating for your mental health to be out from under the expenses of a big home mortgage or high rents. One of my favorite parts of living in a tiny is the ease of cleaning. I love how you embellished that pumpkin to give it a more posh look. Your mother will love it. Here’s another reason to add to your list of pros. If you’re a person who loves to decorate for holidays and seasons it takes a whole lot less money, time and effort to decorate in a tiny. (But don’t forget you must have a place to store your tiny decorations!)
I’m curious to know the changes you are making with your 2nd Tiny. I know of 2 changes I would make if I could go back and do it again. I think after you live in one a while you come to know what works and the improvements you need. I love decorating for the holidays and I have cut back on what I put out. @@simplylivingtiny The most important change for this tiny home is putting a tub in the bathroom and on demand water heater. I have lupus and arthritis and soaking my sore bones in hot water is so helpful. This home is a completely different layout. A first floor bedroom was a must as an “older” person, however this house will have a loft with an actual staircase, not a ladder. I did not have a loft in the previous tiny. I personally work on the Nurse Advice Line but it way more than just taking symptom calls which is my favorite type of calls. There are also Care Manager positions, utilization management, utilization reviews, and several other roles for nurses. I love not working weekends, not being on call., and getting All the holidays off! It makes for a better work life balance. I have a ways to go before I retire. I’ll be 55 in Dec. I know you shouldn’t wish your life away but I’m so ready to own my own time❤️ Have a great week Donna! I appreciate your comments and watching 💕😊
Oh wow. I get calls from members with the insurance company I work for asking for assistance on paying their electric bill. It’s very scary especially in the harsh weather months to not have the money to keep the air or heat on. That’s why I included it as a pro to living tiny. It’s a real struggle for many people.
