How to Make Passive Income with Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is incredibly powerful, and extremely underutilized by most brands. I'll show you how to do it right to give yourself the best change for long term, passive income.
With that said, do realize that although technically affiliate marketing is easy (almost anyone can sign up for Amazon's associates program, for example), it's actually hard to master and get to a point where it can generate significant earnings.
By putting these strategies into place now, however, you'll set yourself up for success because after you implement these strategies, they become passive money-makers that can continue to earn for you over time, while you rinse and repeat the process with other products in your recommendation library.

I'll promote my camera gear that I use on UA-cam. I've recently upgraded some gear since I'm doing more and more on UA-cam. Like you mention, it's great to have people see you *actually* using the products. Specifically, it's a Canon T7i and a 24mm f2.8 lens and the Yi 4k Action camera.
I love the Amazon Associate program myself. And hearing Sean Cannell's story of hitting 6 figures using Amazon on his channel was amazing!
Sean inspired me a few yrs ago and then again this month, now i'm a roll to start it up again. Glad to be in the same journey with you.
Cheers for this, I have been researching "who is the best affiliate marketer" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Neyameron Xiydeline Method - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ok, I'm getting off topic, from your question in the video. So, I have a blog post about using alcohol inks on rocks and it kinda went viral for me. I used Amazon Affiliate links for the products I used and even made my first youtube video tutorial (terrifying) and most of my earnings has come from those products. Hey Pat ! It's great to talk about affiliation and value producing. It seems a lot of people are still stuck with the 'take surveys' and so on. When people will understand the value of affiliation and réal marketing, man, the internet wont be a gold mine anymore

Pat, in response to your question at the end of the video, I am going to try and promote the Amazon Alexa Dot in collusion with a pair of water-proof outdoor speakers. My house currently has an Alexa in every room with a variety of home automation controls. After watching this video I never understood that other people may want to see how the Alexa works in a practical environment, plus selfishly I kind want to show off my setup. I plan on shooting the video this month and when I am finished I will be sure to share a link here.
A piece of advice, Pat I know you are an expert in all things internet, but I think you would get a lot more comments on this video if your website offered a comment section. At the end of this video you ask for comments in the field below, but if you are on your website there is no field below. To add a comment you have to click the link, leave your site, go to youtube, then leave a comment. Is there any way you could embed the youtube comments section on your site? Just a thought. I'm using Facebook ads to promote my funnel.
During the training, I was taught how to create my own offers even though I was promoting a product that wasn't mine.
Each page, starting with the opt in page, follows your advice about what is the next thing they need to be successful.

Great video Pat, I've actually spoken to youtubers who have created videos on a product I am talking about and asked them if I could feature their video into my blog post. That way they can see a video about a product from a source I trust and in return I link back to that persons youtube channel.This is just until I am at a place where I can create my own videos.

Hi, thanks Pat. You show a link in both PDF and paid course. Is't that against Amazon's terms of service?
This may be a bit more of an advance Q+A but I'm curious your thoughts on taking the affiliate link and then using a plugin or a URL shortener as the link instead.
You can do that. With Amazon however there are special rules about not using redirects, but other programs totally allow that. Similar to how if I promote ConvertKit, for example, I always redirect people to SmartPassiveIncome.com/ConvertKit
Thanks -- I'll have to take a look then -- I've done it with software, but only started with Amazon. I haven't done that with Amazon yet, well mainly because I'm not thinking that they'll move affiliate platforms. Where I've been in the mess with software companies moving platforms.

Question: believe it or not, the internet / online business lifestyle, is only REALLY just starting to take flight here in the country as attitudes and internet speed has began to catch up. From your POV in the states, (outside looking in), do you think that email marketing software (yay Convertkit!) is absolutely essential for those new people who are just new to online marketing?

The only part I am stuck at is obtaining the products for the un-boxing. Because of the expense, this is not my niche but say for example the niche was drones. These devices start off at several hundred dollars and go up to thousands. How would you overcome this with making videos when you are starting out? Simply using still pictures? Not near as exciting I know, but It would be difficult to dish out 500 dollars for a drone just for an un-boxing video. If that was the niche. Any suggestions?? TY. Great video BTW.
You could borrow one from a friend, rent one, or even ask a company to give one a test drive for a review video for a short time. This happens a lot more often than you think!

I signed up for Amazon Affiliate and was kicked out of the program because no one bought anything using my link. I think there's a limit for the amount of days you have to make a certain number of sales. I only made one sale and they told me I was no longer eligible for the program and have to reapply whenever I get "more traffic" is what they said.

Serving first in promoting products is always awesome advice! One important word of caution about using Amazon Associate links is to NOT use them in email (or in the RSS feed of your blog posts) as it is a violation of the Amazon Associates Terms of Service. It had been for the longest time, yes. I began diversifying in 2016 and now there’s a healthy income coming from affiliate marketing and other means as well. 👍🏼
Wow. If I knew what product or service to sell myself or promote I know I could make an income. But most of the affiliate products on these sites that sell mostly digital products, they are really bad. And I’ve even bought a lot of them and they are just not good quality. And the marketing is always so false because you don’t ever get what you expect.
I found a baby teether that is super unique and effective. I just messaged the company waiting for a reply. They are new and i can totally see this product in babies r us.
