I love how each one is reined in and little by little lets loose their powerful voices. I think when she throws her arms open, it is so expressive. I love the overlaps in the video halves, where she crumples the paper and then he picks it up and where the same boxes are stacked on the floor in both halves

Patti Labelle has a powerhouse voice!! Not many songs can bring out her beautiful range. First time I heard her sing was at an awards show on tv. She sang “Amazing Grace” a cappella. No music whatsoever. Just her. It was awesome.

I used to play this all the time, now I’m divorced after 40 years of marriage and every word cuts like a knife and breaks my heart because I know this is my story, I thought I would love him forever but time changes everything and the love was gone and never came back I thought I could never survive on my own but I’m doing it, and I know my son will never forgive me but once the love has gone you become destructive .

The fact is that were on different parts of the country when they filmed this video. Because of schedules they could not get together to sing this song for the video so they sang their parts to each other over the phone.

I saw Patti in concert back in 1986 when her song There's A Winner In You was out. I was in the 10th row and she brought a 10 year old girl in a wheel chair on stage who was in the first row. She wrapped the girl in a fur coat and sang the song face to face with her. The whole place was crying (I am now writing this) and a standing ovation for 5 mins after she finished. That little girl had the biggest smile I ever saw...that's when I fell in love with Patti forever! One of THE classiest people in the business! ❤ U Patti
