  • You may have noticed the whitish-brown deposits building up on the cracks of your water faucets, shower heads, sinks, etc. It's often the result of hard water build-up, but if that's what you can see on the outside...what's going on inside?
How do you clean the residue collecting inside your pipes? The Qwik solution is to use our QwikDescaler Kit on your tankless water heater. Our solution is designed to flush out hard water residue, administer a metal protectant, and keep your water flowing freely.
Our solution also is color changing, meaning you will know when more chemical cleaning agent is needed. No more guessing games of
    "is that enough?"
"did I flush it all out?"
    "did it work?"
Simply check the color! If the solution has turned yellow, then more is needed, and if it stays red you're all done!

And what about if it loosens the joints of the pipe as well as it is strong acid

Does this cleaning solution go through a whole homes pipe systems, or just the hot water tank? I recently replaced my kitchen faucet, put new supply lines in to replace the old copper lines, and also replaced two fittings going into unions, both fittings I replaced had an excessive buildup of some sort and I could imagine the rest of the pipes have that same buildup.

Thank you for your question. Our instructions do not recommend putting the descaler solution through a whole home pipe system. We recommend our product primarily on systems that can circulate in isolation (such as a tankless water heater system) so that we can then flush it with copious water while it is still isolated before returning to service.

Can this be used for calcium buildup in the shower drain

Great questions! It would depend on how you intend to use it - yes it can break down calcium - but to work effectively the solution needs an environment where it can cycle through a closed loop system repeatedly or soak for some time and then cycle through the system and be flushed with water. For that reason, we typically recommend it for tankless water heaters.
