Elegant in simplicity of form and function. As a 71-year-old lifelong gym rat and recreational bodybuilder who has been weight-training at home since COVID, and recently incorporated loop resistance bands into his workouts (which led me to your channel), I’ve found your videos informative and helpful. And refreshing, with your straightforward, no-hype, unbiased presentation. Thanks, Mike.
As someone who travels for work and brings bands - this looks like a great alternative to a bar which can't be easily traveled with. I have used Fat Gripz for this purpose, but these look a bit easier to use.
Great content as always, Mike! I have hook handles, and in my opinion, these handles are better due to the smaller distance between the handle and the band.
Great review. I've been using J handles and the problem with those is of course that they add around 5" of extra slack on the band from each handle. This product obviously negates that. Interested in their new product that you mentioned.
Just one man trying to get by brother, I’m sure no different than what you and your family are doing. Always appreciate the positive comments my friend.
The GymBars handles are very useful. The handles I use, are 14" long per side including the 5.5" carabiner. To have handles directly positioned in your hand will establish resistance from the initial push/pull. It is very easy to place a strap inside the handle and add a carabiner to the strap. Nice to have a review of a quality product.
Since Covid and turning 50, I’ve been finding awesome products like this as being a great way to get a different workout. Your videos are very helpful, especially since I set up my Total Gym. Thank you
Elad...You are a winner Elad over a heated debate among my kids on where the arrow / coin flip landed. Send me an email with your address so I can send that out this this week.
@SlidingBenchTrainer ohhhh i won😮mike i dont have a email at present,but address is 242 fair oaks place cedarhurst ny 11516,i appreciate u brother mike😊
I appreciate the quality and integrity. I have never found any questionable material on this channel and I've watch a lot of your TOTAL GYM and resistance bands for use with TOTAL GYM.
@@hybridresistance lately I've been watching videos on how to properly perform different exercises and lifts, but only having a few sets of dumbbells and a couple resistance bands I thought I was limited on what I could accomplish. Watching your videos has turned that thought around. Also I've been watching videos on rep ranges and isometric holds and things like that. As you can see I'm fairly new to working out.
For the price the aluminum ones should have knurling. This is a cool product. I am luck to have added to my home gym equipment over the years so I have things I can use to simulate this product. I use a carabiner, put the band thru the clip and then clip on some handles from my resistance band set that uses clips. I love all kinds of bands. This clip methods adds some length to the bands making it easier to do overheads. Thanks
This looks like a product that I'd love to try out! Been hooked on my X3 for almost a year. This looks like it could compliment that system well. Thanks for doing this giveaway!
Mike thanks again for this Vid! I bought some knock offs on Amazon for twenty bucks and used my existing bands I own, feels great! I accidently bumped into a great exersise just cross the bands in a X formation and try a fly! You will love it!
@@hybridresistance sweet! I noticed certain bands feel better than other bands with the handles. The orange elitefts feels really nice and original light grey X3 band, sometimes I double the bands with lighter bands.
Those look very nice. I have the Vector athletics version coming at some point. I have various band handles but none of this design so I can't wait to try them out.
Just found your channel a week ago, and ended up buying the new X3 bands to replace mine that are two years old. Also learned about the longer bar and bought that, too! Well, after watching a few more videos, I learned how much more was out there as far as equipment and programs. So thanks a bunch and keep it coming! And I don't want to sway your kids to pick me as the winner (heh, heh) but I would REALLY like those handles!!!
Damn, your arms have grown over the years. Maybe do video on what has caused them to double over the years (comparing to videos from 9 or 10 years ago)
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Awesome product, thanks for sharing. Is the split squat shown in the video comparable to the split squat using the X3 belt?
The squat belt feels a bit better, but this is defiantly not bad at all. I'm honestly not taking these specific leg exercises to failure with or without the belt.
mike, you said you had a design for a diy resistance band bar. do you have any ideas for diy single-arm handles as well? edit: these remind me of the undersun bands because each band is the same color. tbh i prefer having every band a different color because it's easier to grab the right one when they're in a pile
I love your channel, you always manage to find cool new gym equipment I haven’t heard of! Maybe in the future you could do a comparison video of these vs the Harambe T bars? I also have really been enjoying your interviews, keep up the great work!
There seems to be a significant jump in resistance from band #2 to Band #3. This might hinder a progressive increase in strength. Even if band #1 is used combined with band #2, it seems to be a big jump to band #3. Are these band 41 inches long? Thanks for your product reviews because they are so detailed and relevant.
I’d really be interested in trying these out. I’ve got a good set of bands but haven’t used them a ton by themselves… even with gloves I found them uncomfortable to grasp. Having handles could be a game changer! Thanks for the review, Mike.
Really enjoy your videos especially the total gym stuff. You are the reason I have made total gym my main source of resistance training. I am interested in getting into the resistance bands as another type of training. Thanks again Mike for your helpful videos.
Another great review. I have the Clench handles with their fat grips which take a bit to get used to for the band attachment positions that are "in the ears" offset from the grip, but have more versatility than these, including the ability to take up slack in the starting position. But, I like the simplicity of these and how the bands go through the handle/grip, not over the grip.
Hi Mike, I'm a relatively new subscriber. I stumbled across your videos, while researching the X3 bar. Your impartial reviews, and gradual acceptance of John's product helped me decide to pull the trigger. I appreciate your approach to reviewing, and the updates to topics you've already covered. Thank you.
Great review Mike, Those handles would be great doing even lat band pull downs too, even with my bad knees I could get a great leg workout doing the low position squats that you did, I guess you could use Undersun bands with it? What if you wanted to use a thicker band, would it be kind of difficult? Thank you for another great video.
Another great review. I always enjoyed using the Undersun bands but wanted a handle instead of the gloves. I’ve seen stuff like the clench handles but they seemed awkward. I might need to look into these.
Hey Bryan, I never heard from the first winner after a couple attempts, you are next in line for these. There was actually a dispute initially with my kids on who won....Please contact me so I can get these out to. Thanks again!
Mike they look like a nice set of bands and grips. The only thing I think some knurling could be helpful for people with sweaty hands to help prevent slipping and rotation of the grips. Mike you have to try that lube for the bands I sent you a link for. The bands will have almost zero wear at the friction points on the plates.
I haven’t tried that yet, but I did share it with somebody else who was looking for something of an equivalent. I hear you on the knurling, but the way this thing feels in your hand just feels so good.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you impress me as being what I would call a "free-style" lifter. In other words, you just go in and "wing it", doing a kind of circuit training of movements, without any set training plan or specific weight/rep goals. Am I correct in that assumption?
For the most part, kind of yea when it comes to bodybuilding. Although I found this to be the case with a lot of bodybuilders. Although I will say I was doing more "programming" when I got back into bands awhile back testing things. Unfortunately now my workouts recently have not been good because I've been reviewing so many things mixed with very limited workout time. Looking to do a reset in the near year. The bands look very clean (no powder or oil). Would not have guessed the polymer grips actually bend. Very useful info, thanks!
Thanks Tom.
Bought these over a year ago, really good handles and always glad to support my fellow Estonians (I didn't know they were UK based outside Estonia).
They are actually based in Estonia, so that was my bad. I was told a large consumer base is in the UK

Somebody in the comments mentioned they used PVC pipe, but it didn’t work out too well because of possible wear and tear on the bands.
@@hybridresistance i’d be scared to use pvc, if pvc snaps its INCREDIBLY sharp and dangerous
This definitely looks like a cool concept
