@@NeoGeoNow My only concern is that I don't want SNK to go straight into a new KOF if XV still has life left. People are clamoring to Oda for a Season 3 so much after that wonderful showing at the SWC.
@@winterice2022 We don't need a 16th KOF, especially with COTW now being a real thing. Just throw in an extra story mode or something that'll clear things up.
That was amazing summary of New Age Saga. While the saga has concluded, there are loose ends, like Nelson's robotic arm, Gaidel's reunion with Leona, Hakkeshu major members planning Orochi's resurrection, NESTS's remnants, along with Krizalid and Igniz and Omega Rugal being brought back to life. I'm sincerely hoping that SNK will make KOF XVI, after making and supporting Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, to give a closure. KOF XVI could serve as the aftermath of Re Verse and Otoma=Raga incidents.
I like Shun Ei, even though his arc feels incredibly abridged, due to so many other elements that seemed bigger than himself crammed into one game. There were mire questions brought up than answers, and it more became Isla's story. All in all, KOF XV felt more like a half dream game entry that sets up some retconning.
@@NeoGeoNowmy theory is rather that KOF XV will merge all the SNK licenses (just to make an SNK video game universe, an SNKVGU) and therefore fix the continuity errors via retcons, between fatal fury and art of fighting for example. it's also for his sake that in the ending of Ryo we see that he finally takes his role seriously and seems to be heading towards the identity of Mr. Karate II (the one he had in Buriki One) for example.
I really hope they end things properlly in KOF XVI, i would feel so down let things end the way they did in XV in fact the game feels more like a middle act that an conclusion, personally think bring Orochi plot again, al the questions unaswered and some things half baked ruined the main story I know they cant prolongers arcs for 3 games like old days due how long are developments now but at least give a dignified closure to this arc since KOF XIV was the game that revived SNK, it deserves
Well, this story doesn't completely explain why Shun'ei's design was all over the place, nor does it make me like him completely, but at least it was... somewhat decent.
@@strykerdragoon131I think this is more of verse saga than shun ei saga lmao imagine next arc is about multiverse shit and shun ei still the protagonist because he and Isla has the power too stop just hope they change his design because shun is going on training
What I'm getting from this is that the story itself was actually half-way decent but the way it was presented was not, from putting important interludes as just text on a website to SNK still using their outdated arcade ladder for a story that clearly does not work in that format made the whole story way harder to digest than it should have been. There's also the problem of expectation, coming from XIV most people assumed that the next chapter of the saga will focus on the revived characters as well as NESTS. While CYS is now back they didn't play that much of an important role as what probably people expected, again expectations, there was also the disappointement of Rugal and Goenitz's participations not being canonical thus they had no character interactions in the story besides one liner winquotes. And of course the new "revived NESTS" wasn't even mentioned in XV but it's evident that that story will go somewhere in the future after K9999's reappearance and the NESTS team. A lot of people still don't understand or are simply not invested in this main plot because SNK did not present it well, so they'll rather focus to "what's missing" instead of discussing what happened here. Heidern's report about the retrocausality of Ash's actions possibly being a branching point of another universe, with the current universe(?) being one of the many alternate ones begs the question "So there's a world where Ash didn't erase himself and Saiki won?" or "Will this be used as some kind of way to explain why certain Fatal Fury/Art of Fighting events didn't go the same way/happen in this universe the same way it did in the original ones?". I think this could be interesting and more people should talk about it. I feel like this entire saga needed a full length multi-hour cinematic story mode, where more information could be exposed as well as longer dialogues and interactions between certain characters could've taken place, whether it's for progressing the story or for fanservice considering how "Dream-Match"like XV's roster is. I feel like you've successfully managed to make the story sound more intriguing and interesting thru your narration and the way you've presented, which I assume this is how SNK devs see the story, helps that we don't have to play arcade mode 50 times just to gets bits of the story here and there this way. Great video as usual.

This saga still has so many unanswered questions left, all in all, a wonderful video to make my day! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! And agreed so many unanswered questions.

Everyone and their grandmas now has a multiverse 😂😂😂
No joke, movies, games, various fictions are blasting out this concept left right and center.
I am not going to lie the start of your video reminds me of a DC comic. Good narriation
Crisis on infinite kof.
I think SNK needs to collaborate with DC Comics to develop an crossover game similar to an video game we know.
Outstanding video Nabil. You keep spreading the awesome history of SNK games and keep being awesome.
This was amazing. Thanks so much for this 🔥
Man those stories are wild. Glad SNK is still in full force.
Space-Time History Distortion and Abnormal Resurrection was theme point of this Shun'ei-Verse saga in my opinion

It feels like KOFXV is setting up a multiverse story. LEt's see what the future holds.

Good video, I'm glad to find your channel in Spanish, the story of King of Fighters was not clear to me, thank you very much
It would be nice if some of these tidbits were in 14 or 15 but it's great to hear them from you dude
Make KOF XVI Revive NESTS & Tales of Ash Era Characters as Regular Fighters.

He is! He trainer under Tung along with Geese and Jeff.

With today's technology they can make 1 game is enough to tell a whole story. We just need long story modes.
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching! :)

Why was kof 98 and 2002 not mentioned? Literally my two favorites
Because both games are non canon, or as it is known in the SNK universe a dream match.
98 and 2002 dont have story
Ahhh thanks for clarifying. Love your videos
I so prefer the good old lore of Art of Fighting or Fatal Fury: just humans dirty fighting.
snk didnt really put much lore in these games sadly
then we shall fix that
This saga have only two chapters, right?
Correct. KOFXIV and KOFXV.
