I remember my parents entering a contest when I was about 4 years old. They won and the first prize was a Super Nintendo. When we went to pick up the prize they told my parents that they gave the Super Nintendo to the second prize winner on accident. Pretty suspicious if you ask me. Second prize were empty VHS-tapes. Can't tell you how disappointed I was. My mother was incredibly angry and told them they should've been ashamed of themselves for doing something like that. After 2 weeks, our doorbell rang and they brought us a Sega Genesis. Not a Super Nintendo, but I was incredibly happy with Sonic the Hedgehog being my first ever video game. I was always a fragile and sick kid, so those video games were a wonderful escape from a tough childhood and the pain problems I had. As a child, I couldn't sleep properly and was glad to sleep 2 hours a day. This console made my life so much better. My love for gaming started at that point. My parents were poor, so I would otherwise never have had a video game console. Faking a contest is disgusting to me. Often times, poor people try to win these prizes and just imagine how impactful it would be for them to figure out it's fake.
They use poor spelling, grammar, etc. purposely to weed out those who notice that sort of thing. Or even to lure in people thinking "they so dumb they don't know grammar I'll scam them!"
Digital River fulfill Nvidia's UK FE orders, they are based in Ireland. I had to send my faulty 2080ti FE to them in Ireland to be exchanged for the one that is still working.

The style of the text reads very much like it was originally Chinese. A lot of Chinese companies, not even only sketchy ones, use phrases like 'Live your best life!' or 'Dedicated to your maximum enjoyment!' which presumably sound less vague in Chinese. I'm not at all convinced by the address- I'm not a Londoner, but from what I can ascertain from Google Maps the 'Palace Building' isn't a building in Baker Street and would have to be squashed in a pretty small space between the Sherlock Holmes Museum and a takeaway. If it's anything, it's a PO Box.
you know they've got a big box of gt1030's and nothing higher....some media outlet should buy like 10 of them under different identities, and show their stack of 10 gt1030's...

I just gave up I gotta work with my 2 core i3 with gt710 for now and sadly I don't even know when the prices are gonna go down
The stupid site name along with the bad grammar and punctuation is a common red flag with these scams. Ads like this are a dime a dozen on facebook at the moment.
I've seen this as well. I did exactly what you did, I laughed at how shady their website is. But I have to say I am very curious to see someone to do an unboxing video of one of those gpu loot boxes. its like a train wreck, you cant watch but you have to see it at the same time.
I can't imagine they're actually shipping these. If they are, they're shipping GT 1030s, and GT 1030s cost more than 69.99 USD. That's not a real business model.
I saw another ad with that same photo. Can't remember if it was the same Hybe company or another scam. But the ad read something like 'We're a computer store that's been unable to sell our stock all this time because of 'human malware' and we're forced to permanently close soon. We're sitting on hundreds of brand new unopened graphics cards and we're liquidating them @ some ridiculous price'. You know if it's too good to be true... and besides if you didn't live under a rock or in a cave this year and half you'd know currently graphics cards are a hot commodity and sold for several times it's retail price and disappear from shelves faster than thanos can snap a finger. So it's kinda ridiculous to think there'd be a store sitting on hundreds of new cards. I didn't even have to think twice it was a scam or click on their ad, lest land on some malware filled site or something. Reported them as fraud/scam as soon as I saw it.
Mystery boxes, lootboxes should be forbidden by a law.. You can't sell something to customer if customer don't know what is he buying, no matter if customer accept to gamble or not.. This all started in video games selling pixels now it spread also in real life selling appliances and pc components. We live in very, very crazy world..and this is very dangerous because this "bussiness model" will spread so fast everywhere, i will not be surprised if you want to buy a car you will have mystery box where you can get Bentley or Russian Lada from 80's .. This is insane..
If this is the only place that is highlighting it, it will have almost no effect at all on the fortunes of this site, for which this box is one of many.
100% been seeing alot of sketchy ads recently on facebook and youtube, even one on youtube that took me and my girlfriend by surprise suggesting "arranged marriages to young Asian women" like wtf is going on.
One thing I don't get is the "Buy 1 box" vs the "Buy one get one box free" options... Why wouldn't you ask for the free box? Or is it really you're buying two boxes for a free box? So confusing.
Bought an ASRock RX 6600 XT Challenger Pro 8GB for €.499 last week which is the going price in Germany/Netherlands. There are still plenty available. You might see an occasionally Nvidia card but they are still very hard to get. I am very pleased with the buy its very quiet and does not use a lot af power like some Nvidia cards do.
Hybe probably stand for - *Here’s your box - Empty!* Great video calling out such sites. It’s always astounded me that people do fall for these things.
This is making me wonder what are the gambling laws in the U.K. regarding children. Also, I bet that $69.00 dollar entry level price is expected to receive a "nice" from pretty much anyone who gets lured into this *self-bleeps* hole, except, it's not if there's other price brackets. Also, that wording made me cringe so much, I'm glad you took offense and pointed it out. As a writer for whom english is not his first language(you can tell by my name), grammar is always indicative of intentions. If there's little care or massive inconsistencies in the wording, that's usually a huge red flag!

Their website is very explicit about what are the tiny odds, and they even show recent 'unboxings' which are very far from the desirable products. The chances are you will be getting a Snap-on iPhone Stand with Card Holder. You have a 0.03% chance of winning a Dr Dre headphones. And a whopping 0.008% chance of a 3080 (@£800 that means spending £800,000 for an 8% chance to win one).
A GT 1030 is useless for gaming (except for very basic games), but it is the cheapest card to be able to provide 4k 60Hz desktop, which mine does completely fine and it does hardware acceleration for streamed content.

I'm glad to see a video about these scams. I see them all over Facebook and it kills me everytime I see one because they prey on people's ignorance.
And there's no way to properly report them
Ireland? LMAO....we have no GPUs over here
We have to buy from Germany. Or UK with Extra import duty. Ireland has no warehouse full of GPUs!
Digital River fulfill Nvidia's UK FE orders, they are based in Ireland. I had to send my faulty 2080ti FE to them in Ireland to be exchanged for the one that is still working.
Especially liked the stock photo at around 22:58...I just can't seem to figure out the correlation with the woman in front of Rosemary's and Mystery Boxes (er..I mean Boxs) :)
One thing I noticed: at 20:25 in the longer 'description' the GT1030 disappears...
Which to buy, for ryzen 7 5800x with 3070
1 - Gigabyte auros x570 Elite wifi
2 - Msi x570 tomahawk wifi
3 - Gigabyte auros x570 pro wifi
Facebook enables this and should be sued. This isn't the only scam they allow.
Notice how the picture of the box they use can only fit single fan 1030 or 1660? No 3090 will ever fit in the box in the picture 🤔
You know this graphics card pricing just kills my mood I wanted to build an new entry level pc with gtx 1660 and ryzen 5 3600 but when I saw that 1660 are being sold at around 300 dollar and even higher! I just gave up I gotta work with my 2 core i3 with gt710 for now and sadly I don't even know when the prices are gonna go down
The stupid site name along with the bad grammar and punctuation is a common red flag with these scams. Ads like this are a dime a dozen on facebook at the moment.
Nice video. I just don't understand how a company can get away with this.
How do you recognize a professional scammer? By unprofessional texts.
I've seen this as well. I did exactly what you did, I laughed at how shady their website is. But I have to say I am very curious to see someone to do an unboxing video of one of those gpu loot boxes. its like a train wreck, you cant watch but you have to see it at the same time.
Can't wait for these cards to be those scam cards with fake BIOSes flashed on them with the generic cooler. Go go GTS 450.
They missed a chance for a Conspiracy Cats space comma by not having spaces at all!
I can't imagine they're actually shipping these. If they are, they're shipping GT 1030s, and GT 1030s cost more than 69.99 USD.
That's not a real business model.
One of the options on the GPU list was AMD. That means that they can sell you a 15 year old AMD card which has value so low they make triple profit.
Did anyone else notice this address is very near fictional Sherlock Holmes' address in the contact us on the scammers website?
The owner of this company crying in the corner and saying why my ad showed up to Greg 😆😆😆
If this is the only place that is highlighting it, it will have almost no effect at all on the fortunes of this site, for which this box is one of many.
And to top it off, fb doesn't give the option to report their page
100% been seeing alot of sketchy ads recently on facebook and youtube, even one on youtube that took me and my girlfriend by surprise suggesting "arranged marriages to young Asian women" like wtf is going on.
that's how gambling works - all it is, is only promises no real wins.
You know Greg's angry when he drops the F bomb (21:30)
Trust pilot to me looks like one of those old malware infested websites, so if a company references trust pilot I just move on to a different company.
I bought one. It contained a shoe on a spring that kicked me in the nuts when I opened it.
I love the Buy 1 get 1 Free option lol.
Greg, what brand and size is your portable monitor you use in your cleaning videos? I'm looking for something like that to replace having to use a regular 15" monitor. I used to have a little 9" CRT monitor years ago, but it burned out.
I was once paid to leave a positive review for a restaurant in France. I have never been to France. It changed the way I look at reviews. Lol
225b baker street? Oh a neighbour of sherlock and john 😅
is that a Microsoft Address = outlook - hahahaha
OK! For most of the time when I have some ad like this on any site. I always report as a scam. I repeatedly report If see It repeatedly as well. Facebook site for example. I got these ads repeatedly showing to me. I check the ad title and find myself into some site selling some desks or clothes on. So that is how I know It is a real scam. Keep us posted when package arrive and wish something reasonable affordable will come out from this box.
Funny that they left the stock website builder photo as their photo. Who is Rosemary?
As far as I can tell 225B Bakers Street London doesnt exist. I think they used Sherlock Holmes' address and changed the last number (221B to 225B) *Update* its a 1 bed 1 bath flat that costs 228k British Pounds XD
Reminds me what Newegg is doing throwing bad power supply's at the consumer.
I won a newegg shuffle today finally. The problem is i won a $900 3070 ti bundled with a $260 motherboard. A $260 B550 motherboard...and its gigabyte. What a joke. over $1200 with tax.
Interested in seeing what you get in the box
Greg, I appreciate the passion behind your consumer advocacy. John Stossel would be proud.
The box listed as “Women’s Dream” is a legitimate listing…
I’m the prize!
I never said it was going to be enjoyable!
I can't be the only one who noticed Sherlock Holmes address on the thkiki site. 225B Bakers St? Come on.
my configuration needs a new configuration.
Oh Greg I Think He is Sherlock Holmes. He Lives in 225b, Baker Street. Lol 02:04
Wonder how much these scammers will earn from other UA-camrs buying a box to make a video on? Having said that I’m looking forward to seeing what you get 😄 but hope other UA-camrs don’t follow and fill the scammers pockets!
I'm looking around local marketplaces here a lot. 9/10 offers are scams that are obviously translated via google translate to german xd
As someone from Ireland, there is no way these guys have these cards lmao, our retailers don't even got em'.
they don't care about videos like this, I bet that any address that they provide is an abandoned building in some country they don't even reside in. There's tons of these stupid sites and the only way to get rid of them is proper legal action
Yup, this is the gold standard for Facebook ads. They are literally all scams now.
