I'm Getting RTX 3090s & Other USED GPUs at Crazy LOW Prices...!

- September's USED PC parts hunt of 2022 shows that some GPUs are getting really cheap, in fact I pick up an RTX 3090 for an unbelievable price, and also get a GTX 970, GTX 1660 Super and RX 5700 XT, because why not? Prices of these GPUs are all coming down and strike prices are getting very attractive.

Meanwhile, Nvidia pricing their new 40 series GPU's like the mining craze is still in full force.
it means itwill come back ;)
@@yigitozturk1636 hopefully not
gamers will stay pay
they need to sell that whole year of 3000 series's stock tho
The 3090 was 1500 at launch it was basically a 3080, the 4090 is twice the performance and its just one hundred more, when have the top tier GPUs ever been dirt cheap, you live in a fantasy world
I now want a GPU with "Do Not Touch" stickers on the fans.
It's pretty nutty to me that even with the depreciating JPY, the prices in those used stores are still too high
Used or new, it's like that in Asia. They still stuck in the mining bubble prices and it's gonna take years to stabilize.
@@zackwalkman8574 which part of Asia are you in?
Prices are pretty good for me in SG, just got an Asus 3070 TUF for SGD/AUD 450

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Japan opening up soon 😊
This is best PC related series imo. Thank you brian for blessing us with content for the past years
We share this opinion.
@@ozzierobmorales Ditto.
Hear hear!
Nice finds this month. That 3090 find was pretty mind blowing. I think heading to the stores is worth it for the chance to find stuff like rare cases and 1 off deals.
I really like that inwin H-frame case you purchased, you are correct that was a rare "limited run" PC case where they only made so many of them. Checking 2012 online reviews shows it retailed at £300.
Oh cheers for that. I did not though it cost that much! Guess the value radar is working well.
@@techyescity Yup, was definitely a pricey case back then. I actually saw one sell for over $500 usd on ebay a few years back.
@@techyescity Did you ever use the case in a build?
This video was so much fun. A glimpse into Japan that is not ultra urban.
yeah I wouldn't mind brian explaining some of the characters on storefronts & stuff like that, I don't know much about any of that but would like to learn from someone who speaks english
nothing wrong with urban
@@DeadPiixxel Thanks for the update.
I just picked up a new looking RTX 2060 on eBay for $62 shipped to my door, and it works. No weird smells, no discoloration, no overheating problems. Clearly did not do too much crypto mining.
Give it a slight undervolt and you'll have it live a bit longer.
Cryptomining is not going to cause much problems if at all to most GPUs. Only Radeon VII, Vega 64 and GDDR6X cards are probably not a good buy.
Murtdragon... Is it a real 2060? That sounds too good 2 be true
@@martymcfly88mph35 it is. I've tested it and gpuid shows it as well with even the correct bios. I've had stupid luck with eBay items like this in the past too. About a year ago I picked up a GTX 1050 Ti for $20 listed as not working and it was perfectly fine.
@@MrAbomNation damn, congrats man. You're a pro deal hunter. I'm too impatient lol
I appreciate you showing the footage from the used hardware stores. It's interesting to see how Japan prices used equipment. It is always interesting to see what you find.
Great to see GPU's being available again. It was truly depressing in the PC scene since 2020.
Id like to correct you GTX 1080 was hard to buy since its release because every gamer wanted one and there was like few months windows you were able to buy one before crypto started to be a thing. 3000 series was just peak of this issue with insane scalping.
@@simptrix007 I bought a 1080 in 2017 for $500 MSRP on Newegg, zero hassle. I bought a 2070 for $500 in 2019 for MSRP because I didn't want to pay $800 for the MSRP 2080. The 10x0 series and the 20x0 series NEVER EVER sold over MSRP until 2020. Were high end cards out of stock for the model you wanted at times, yeah big deal. I built and sold dozens of gaming PC's with 1060's and 2060's on Craigslist UNTIL 2020. The 3080 was nearly $2000 at launch in 2020. The 3080 cost more at launch than most entire gaming rigs cost. I waited since the 3080 launched to buy one for MSRP, it didn't happen until July 2022. I have no idea what you are correcting.
I bought my 2070 for $400 in 2020 just before the crypto boom of 2021
those deals man, in Europe i could never get a 3090 for that price
The retailers are too greedy here in Europe
hahaha i bought the nreal air from japan and it came out 50 pounds cheaper even with the shipping fee and the 25% import tax than the msrp in europe
You can't even get a 3080 for that price in Europe
Few days ago bought 2 rtx 3060ti twin fan cards for 175$ each. I ran like a dog 🐕 and never looked back. Repasted and cleaned the card and working just like new.
That's really solid. Good stuff!
Wow, here in the Netherlands we still pay 300 euros for a 3060 and 3060 ti about 350-400 euros
@@hidde8232 it was once in a life time deal. It's like finding gold coin in a dump yard.
@@kapilr.4768 i understand but what would be the market price for a second hand 3060 or 3060 ti?

My favourite series to watch right now, keep it up Brian 👍
Even if not all the places have deals it is still good to see what is out there in your hunt. That 3090 price -- wow! Also love to see those unique cases.
Tech yes City, the absolute best channel when it comes to used PC hardware!
I really like that case you found, I can't wait to see a build in that case! I also really like seeing the physical store hunts but I see the struggle your going through there in Japan. These parts hunt videos are my favorite, you always do a great job!
Well, here in Canada the prices actually went up +5% in the past 2 weeks due to currency fluctuations with the almighty USD, but more alarming is the fact that we don't see the same discounted sales anymore. For example, the RX6700XT, which would occasionally go on sale for $499 now never gets below $530, or the RX6800XT which would previously go on sale for $799 now never gets below $840. The RTX series are still too expensive for me to even look at.
yeah I'm not an nvidia fan but I had to get a used 2080 as I couldn't afford anything decent from the 5-6000 series from AMD. I still see some people trying to get 2k+ for 3080ti's but I got a 2080 for $300.
@@Born_Stellar i bought a pc for 700 euros, 2070 super and 10600k with a z490 mobo and evga watercooler, just 256gb ssd tho. Do you think i had a good deal for europe?
@@hidde8232 To be fair you got a pretty good deal Imo. I am planning an upgrade of CPU 5800X, AM4 mobo, ddr4, air cooler and 500gb NVME, its going to cost me 700€ and I am still stuck with a GTX970. You got a 2070 Super, sure CPU and Mobo aren't the best but they are pretty good still for most uses and gaming. Mind you I would invest on more Storage. I know that people in Japan drive on left side of the road, but i didn't knew that they also drive backwards. :)
Although I hate tower cases but this one . . is just WOW !! extreme futuristic design
This month was really good! That case was cool!
Been watching your channel for year's and really enjoy the content and the effort you put into it, also it's great to see that the GPUs are becoming reasonably priced for a change
Scored a 1660 Super for $180 CAD (about 130 USD,) sold it in a 3200G rig I already had put together, and bought a 3070 from the same guy for $500 CAD. All in all, it's a good time to be a gamer.
That 970 gave me so much nostalgia... I had this cooler but on the GTX 760 instead
The lowest price of a brand new RTX 3090 is 1040 € at the moment here in Italy.
A brand new RTX 3090ti costs 1140 €.
On the other hand prices of used RTX 3090s on Italian ebay and various other used components sales sites range from 1500 € to 2000 €!
Even used RTX 2080 and RTX 2080ti cost up to 800 €!
So the situation isn't everywhere the same!
Cheapest I could find from local dealers in my EU country was 800 Euros.. You can ignore Ebay.. It is always way overpriced and dominated by professional sellers who make money that way..
Great video Bryan !
I agree with you on no DDR4 AM5 motherboards, not sure I would have upgraded to Alder Lake if I hadn't been able to get a DDR4 motherboard. Inwin makes some crazy unique cases, looking forward to your build in this one.
The 5700XT and 6700Xt for $175 and $279 are pretty good deals for midrange buyers. Pair that with a 12400F or 5600 and you can probably get a good 1440p gaming PC for under $900.
UK eBay asking prices for RX5700XT are as high as £900+!....Have to be mentally disturbed on a grand scale to buy at that price!...You can get them close to£300 or just over..but that is still way to high.
This was hella fun to watch
Here is the one big issue I have found out about mining cards. I just happen to have a friend who repairs electronics and he says it’s not about the cores or under-volting these cards. That, he says makes no difference. The problem lies with the memory. It is what will fail. It’s not if……..it’s when. He says it will fail. These mining cards ran 24/7. How much life do they have left in them………nobody knows……..but it is definitely considerably shorter then a card that was in a desktop. I cannot take the chance of buying these…..even if they’re dirt cheap. Last thing I need is a customer calling me because he has a blank screen……..or worse.
Memory and fans. Fans sound like a silly thing to worry about, until you have a useless card because you cannot get a fan that will fit the proprietary fan mounts or have a fan screaming away with dead bearings.
The pc case was a great score imo 🥰💪😇! These older and different cases definitely offer something unique and aesthetically pleasing giving a pc builder something that very few others would have and may even be a gold nugget of a find with a vg price tag attached to it.
Haha everyone is going to be buying the last gen Ryzen 3D CPU. I am currently rocking a 5800x non 3D and probably will for a while. Also used 2080Tis are starting to go up a lot here in the states this past week.
With those shades you must of got an additional 20% discount
I remember seeing the inwin H frame for sale when I was in school, and they had the H frame king which was the ducks nuts, same time as the OG level 10 case
Is everyone just gonna ignore how in the beginning of the video a short part of it was rewinded backwards and the cars were driving in reverse lol that was funny
That case is so unique! Please do the 13th gen testing in that
That's why I like your channel man
Nice deal on the 3090. I just picked up one myself on US ebay for $701.69 about a week ago.
@Mike that's a sweet deal, picked up a 3080 xc3 ultra for $400 today.
@Mike there was a 3090 ftw 3 locally for $800, but I figured I'd be better off getting a 3080 since the 3090s are way too power hungry for my 750w psu and they don't perform well enough to justify the price difference, but for $550 I think that's totally worth it.
@Mike right on. Thats the business.
I recently picked up a 6900xt for $650 (taxes and shipping included) and it was extremely well taken care of. It's going to work great with my 5900x

Yep, R9 5900X or 5950X for productivity and R7 5800X3D for gaming
I WANT that frame case!
That serious case needs a serious build.
I recently got a used EVGA XC3 3090 for $770(w/tax), and it works great.
Another great video. Just wanted to say thank you.
I just bought a used 3090 for $660 including tax and shipping. Unless something radically changes I think there are going to be a lot of 4000-series cards sitting on store shelves due to their outrageous pricing and low demand. They love jacking up pricing when demand is high but when demand is low they aren't so fast in reducing the price. So much for the law of supply and demand.
Just when I thought you forgot about us. This is what I was waiting for
I think the most logical reason that you couldn't strike good deals this time had a direct connection to the insane pricing of the RTX4000 series which made owners of used GPUs (miners and non-miners) hold on to a certain price tag which is half the original price they bought their used card for so that they could pay the other 50% fresh from their own pocket in order to be able to purchase the insanely "expensive" 4000 series GPU
I suspected this would happen a while back even before they announced the CPU's. The fact that Zen 4 required a new platform and AM4 was still going strong was a fair prediction that demand for the older platform would increase once people realized AM5 was gonna be so expensive. Combined with inflation and recession and motherboard availability after the crypto boom, plus cost of manufacturing and shipping after the pandemic it was a given. GPU's still have not seen a flood after Ethereum proof of stake yet but the used prices probably will not drop as much as people want due to Nvidia (and probably AMD) making new GPU prices so high. Intel may save the midrange market but they have yet to prove themselves. Greedy Nvidia and maybe AMD know how to maniuplate the market for profit.
@@Mopantsu Yeah it's unfortunate that AMD has become just as greedy as Intel were now. That said I did just order a new r7 5700x to upgrade from my r5 2600, seeing as the 7xxx series is kind of obscene in pricing / power usage & I won't have to upgrade my mobo platform, plus I just had to replace with new ddr4 ram not long ago. But if not for seeing how bad 7xxx was I probably wouldn't have done it. Next time I upgrade will probably be 9xxx +
3090 for $690?!?!? SOOO GOOD!! Hahaha poor 🎻 kids lol I was cracking up at that part in your video!

Great case InWin ❤
It’s great to see GPUs available again. Last September I had to buy a 3060Ti for $1150 AUD lmao. Even second hand they were 1050…
It's quite fascinating how the Japanese prices on eBay are totally on the opposite side from the deals you are currently getting on the local market LOL
Basically on eBay, Japanese sellers are still wearing their Scalper hat while on their local market, they are wearing (kinda) the good Samaritan hat :)
Have a great week ahead Bryan and keep on getting these good deals for GPUs :)
Good Asia Pac data. I like the store and open market tours and all the techniques of salvage discovery and procurement. mb
The Tech YES Predictions finally come true!
that image clarity and quality from the 1.50$ web cam was amazing
Those are some crazy good deals, gotta fly to japan only live 2 hours away as well
Yeah that's what we get when we go to basic thrift stores around here in Florida. You have to go quite often to get the good deals because if you don't they will be snatched up. But I have noticed the thrift stores around me have been going up in price.
"bust offs" 😂

I picked up a RX 6700 XT for $300 on Ebay, the thing is in perfect condition and runs flawlessly, a big upgrade from my old RTX 2060, especially for linux gaming
I see that $50 i7-5960X sitting there at Junk Paradise, that's a good price right there still seeing them selling at 70-80 on the Bay of E's, surprised you didn't grab that for an X99 build?!!
8:42 $14 for an Antec case, looks like the Solo II model from a decade ago, might be the perfect case for that hypothetical X99 build LOL at least it would be period correct
I picked up a second hand GTX 1650 a couple of years ago for £50 and sold it for £120 on eBay last week. I found a 1650 Super for £100 on marketplace yesterday. It's only for an ITX build so doesn't need to be powerful but hey, an upgrade with a little bit of profit? I'll take that! Plus it's a much better model (the 1650 was the Palit StormX GDDR5 single fan model, the Super is the MSI Gaming X GDDR6 twin Frozr model).
7:49 sorry I kinda laughed when you said it :P
I think the market is just doing it’s best to hold out on loosing so much money but it’s gonna happen whether they like it or not.
Like you said.... there's a good chance it will.
I'm still rocking the GTX 970 mini in my PC. But don't use much anymore. Hurt's to much to sit in a Chair for long. So Xbox Series X with G-pro wireless mouse and keyboard. Work's wonders. Sofa chill
Picked up a 9 month old MSi RTX 3060 for $400AUD last week in Tassie. Not ex-mining, currently retailing for $600 AUD. Quite happy.

Prices are still beyond absurd in Europe.
I can't believe you got that case for $50 😆 what a deal
I had been looking for while for a cheap new AM4 board for a replacement of a low grade B350 board, Newegg in the US had the MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max for $99 and free shipping, It has a lot going for it with flash back bios / Debug LED's / Big Heat Sinks!
Also the RX 6600 got down to $230/$239 but has jumped back up to $259/$279 as of today! I do have the Sapphire Pulse RX 6600 Lite Edition that came with the 2 games for $279 usd, I like playing Saint Row on the card and even with a bottleneck, I did get SAM to enable on PCI Express 3 and with 3700x /x470
I'd say stick to online used PC component searches and purchases, unless you go swing by a retail shop that's on your way to your destination and take a peek on what's available. In this case, have your phone on you so you can check prices and see it's a better deal buying right then and there instead of either driving to meet up with someone or having the components shipped.
This 1.50$ cam actually works better than the majority of laptop cameras in zoom meatings.

I've noticed in the UK, ebay normal auction prices for Ryzen 3600s have been going back up, quite sharply. I was looking for one for benching but they're too expensive now.
21:55 - And that from a supposedly 'conservative' govt, what a joke. The UKP has already weekend a lot against the USD in recent months, prices for new tech parts have gone up enormously, the 7950X for example is over 800 UKP. I had been planning on getting a 5950X if it went below 400 UKP, but it has likewise reversed its previous trend and is now back up over 550 UKP, so no chance, not paying that much.
The only advantage of the weak UKP is it makes exports more attractive to foreign buyers, but what ought to be a huge SME export opportunity is being deliberately ignored by the govt, both national and local, for ideological reasons (the globalists want SMEs and high street retail to die); it is of course offset somewhat by imported raw materials costs being higher, but even so, end products should be effectively cheaper abroad, though courier costs have also become ridiculous, along side service degradation aswell.
Our recent (2021) import tax changes have really hurt things as well, anything over £135 needs the seller to collect UK tax, which means being UK VAT registered or they will be asking for your VAT number. Some places just flat out refusing to supply the UK.
$158 of components cost me £150 the other day, the impact of that weak pound is real and wages have not really kept pace, job listings still advertising wages in line with 2010.
Rumor mill is suggesting that if BoE had not started buying bonds then the sell off, due to lack of confidence in the returns, could have left the UK unable to service it's debt and default.
I think we are only just seeing the beginnings and the can kicking from 2008 is about to come back and bite us. Nothing really got fixed back then, low interest rates were just used to borrow money from the future to hide the problems.
I just hope I look back at this comment in a few years and think "man, how wrong was I :D".
00:12 So they all drive backwards in Japan ??? WOW I would never have known that, had I not seen it here. Thanks.
