Many Chinese parents are not like this, they interfere too much in their children's lives. I hope my children will live according to their wishes. No matter how much the child endures crying outside. They care too much about what people around them say. They always hope that their children can go out and make their families feel honored. I believe that the first requirement is for children to have a sense of responsibility. When you reach adulthood, you cannot rely on your parents and take on your responsibilities. Don't burden others. On this basis, allow children to freely choose the life they want. Whether it's poverty or wealth. As long as they feel happy themselves. I am very unhappy working in government departments. But parents believe that this is a long-term stable job and are not allowed to resign. However, my life is full of darkness. I prefer to start my own business. And if one's choice is wrong. I bear all the consequences. As long as it doesn't burden others.

How did a quiet and shy couple such as your parents raise such an engaging, outgoing and adventurous woman? They did a fantastic job with your family. Thank you Mom and Dad for sharing your thoughts on Katherine living in China. China is very fortunate to have her there, to work on improving the nation and to share with us so much of its varied cultures we would otherwise not see.
With that said, Katherine, I really feel you were Chinese in your past lives. Your connection with the land and people is so deep and natural. @ 4:26 Katherin asks mom what is it like to have a child living on the other side of the world. Her mom looks at the camera and says:
    - ¨It's hard sometimes and sometimes it's easier"
Katherine, tell your mom that she won my respect! Honest, sincere, and wise!

Now we know why Katherine is so nice. There is a saying by parents in China, "When children grow up, they grow wings." And this is what happened to Katherine. 😊

Katherine is so considerate and thoughtful of her parents to be asking such questions even though she lives so far away from them. Yes, we like to thank father and mother for participating, and showing so much understanding and care for their dear daughter. They should go and pay their daughter a visit and who knows, just like her, they fall in love with the place. 🤩😍🥰

Since China has and always being merchandising nation despite confucius disapproval, it makes sense to advice your parents to carry only essential items and travel light so on their China trip they can shop till they drop with the generous 2 pieces luggage allowance. My visit to US had me investigating and wondering about an additional luggage piece with same conclusion. I rejected it outright because I would have to fill it😬

I lived in a mirrored life symmetric with yours. I have been studying and working in US for over eight years. Now my wife and I are raising our daughter here. I assume if our parents were asked the same question the answer would be similar: as long as you enjoy it I love it 😂 Happy Halloween!

Katherine, I watch all your videos but this is my first time leaving a comment. I want to thank you parents for speaking out: you have raised a beautiful daughter who shines in every way. The best gift any parents can give to their child is roots and wings. Bravo👏👏👏👏

As long as they have a good connection with their people. I've seen families who live together but argue a lot and don't like each other that much. I also think living countries apart is okay, when u visit them, they'll have a lot to show you and vice-versa. It becomes more fun in a way.

But it's also comforting to know Kat is living in a peaceful place and most importantly, she is happy there. As always I am looking forward to more videos from you, Kat.
