The hound has a third eye for his character design in this game, most likely because Erlang Shen also has a third eye! The shadows on its body as it moves is also probably homage to the eclipse lore.

This game takes place in the downtime between sun wukong getting trapped in the mountain and the child from the stars releasing him so that the monkey can be his unwilling bodyguard

Im not sure how much of wukongs story is told in journy to the west, im no literary expert. Watch overly sarcastic productions if you want a good synopsis of the journy to the west story.

It is actually pretty good with referencing things of Chinese Mythology. Not one to one, obviously, but it does a good job. Speaking as someone who is Chinese and is in love with Sun Wukong (the mythology).

anyone know why my PC cant run this game, used to able to run games like cyberpunk and fortnite with no issues, now i just get tearing, low FPS and shit quality. temps are fine under load on this game, running 57-65C GPU and CPU under 60c. 24gb ram. it is like 4 years old now so maybe could be SSD, should i reinstall windows? montiors are plugged into GPU , drivers have been updated so idk what it is
