I watched Ford v Ferrari again, the other day. There were a few Shelby Daytona Coupes in the background of some of the scenes. It is and always will be my favorite car from that era. Can't wait to build mine. Hopefully, I can set aside some money to get started soon.
The only thing I didn't like about the nusic one was the volume was very high compared to everything else I watch. I remember when i used to edit some gaming videos, if my computer volume was low I would accidentally compensate by increasing the volume on the video and not my computer. Just my experience. I LOVE these cars. Great job!!
I didn't see the version with the crappy music- but it's ALWAYS better without the music... unless it's music *I* like. Man, that'd be SO FUN to have a virtually unlimited budget to just buy a giant erector-set car and put it together.
Glad you missed the crappy music version😂. Wish I had an unlimited budget as I would have changed a few things. Oh well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy New Year
Loved the commentary! I was wondering if painting the tube frame was mainly aesthetic or if there was a major benefit to longevity/rust prevention. You also mentioned type R reinforcements which I was wondering if that was something found in the parts catalog. I couldn’t exactly make out what you said directly after. Plan on ordering one in the near future and your videos are extremely helpful both with and without music.
Thank you and glad you enjoyed it. Painting was just my preference. Car comes powder coated if you order that option so no corrosion issues. As for the R upgrades that’s not something in the catalog. You either get street version or Race version. I wanted most of the race version but not all so made my own. Thanks for watching.
Tough question as the roadster had nitto nt05 and the coupe has had a much stickier bfg rival s1.5. The roadster felt more like a go cart and was 450lbs lighter and 5 inches shorter. If I had better tires on the roadster I think it would have been faster and easier to drive. I never took the roadster on a track, autocross only as the roadster and lack of any safety cage scared me.
Our Type 65 coupe arrived this past Saturday. Thanks for sharing.
You are going to love it. Where are you located?
Good narrative! Didn't realize so much metal work is required to build one of these.
No metal work required if you don’t deviate from manual. I did a lot of custom work. Thank you for watching.

Keep the goal and keep saving the money. It will be worth it.
The scene with a blue Daytona on a big lift in the plane hangar, I met the owner of it and he let me sit in it. He wouldn't let me drive it through 😂
Where did you meet the owner?

Thank you! Still new to this video UA-cam thing.

Were the tubes that you added to the roll cage part of the kit or was that your add on, and what was your reasoning for adding them? Thanks
@@greelsdisc they were an add on as I wanted it more like the R model. Not required.
Is the wiper installation in one of you videos, if so which?
I think it is but not positive. Let me look.
I cannot find a wiper install video. I must have missed that one. I did follow the factory five instructions though. I didn’t deviate.
How do like the handling in the coupe compared to the roadster?

have you ever published a parts list? im most interested in all the accessories you chose for the Aluminator. thanks!
I have not but can get working on it. Just accessories for engine?
Hey, what happened to the awesome music?!
I did everyone a favor and made it go away 😂
@@cobradaytonabuild1671 I know, but actually I didn’t mind it… I was too enthralled by what I saw to notice it! Nice build!!
Thank you for the nice comment as I had a few that hated the music. Happy New Year
