was able to get this as 616 devoker, thanks for the tips. for any other players - zekvir will shoot his web through the portals in phase 2. so try to avoid the web as it appears out of another portal
Saving deep breath for the dot was essential since Brann doesn't dispell it every time and that thing will chunk your health in 2-3 GCDs, depending on whether Zekvir melees you next or not
I did this on my monk at 611 with a level 42 bran, it was hard but I could get rid of that spittle debuff with tigers lust and defuse magic. It super easy post nerf, before I never could get the add below 50% cause it had way to much health but I will say touch of death saved my life so many times.
For this challenge? The kit is absolutely fine. I did it with less gear in an almost 7min fight. Evoker has enough burst for the eggs, enough mobility to not get caught in shit - and the rest is just playing the mechanics.
I’m mostly just in the habit of casting FB at Rank 1 in a “single target” boss situation for Catalyze and Burnout value, but you can definitely cast FB at Rank 3 if you want the burst on the cocoons for example. Just be careful not to get caught casting when you have to dodge something.
how are you meant to do this as devastation his regenerative carapace ability goes off every 20 seconds and you only get 1 interrupt which comes back up every 40 seconds im so lost on what im doing wrong
Make sure to take Imposing Presence in the Devastation talent tree for the cooldown reduction on your interrupt. At a 20 second cd you should be able to interrupt every cast of Zekvir’s heal as long as that’s the only thing you’re trying to interrupt.
Yep! The Spittle is a movement speed slow so it's removed by Deep Breath and similar abilities for other classes. You can also pre-cast Deep Breath as the spell is coming out and it will stop it from even being applied in the first place, which is nice to avoid overlapping with Brann's dispel.
@@Jereico oh my god, thank you so much. i didn't know this. i thought it could only be dispelled by magic dispells. this will make the fight much easier.
So this clear is pretty dependent on using Healer Brann, and you're sort of relying on picking up the red potions he throws on the ground to heal up most of Zekvir's melee damage, while avoiding taking damage from every other mechanic. There are a couple spots in this video where I drop very low and that's mostly just because I moved in a way that I couldn't get to the potions easily. I will say though, sometimes he will just decide to melee you more than usual, and sometimes he'll just crit you twice in a row and you're dead. There's not too much you can do in those particular situations other than just go again.
@Jereico well now hes just casting the the spittle before i can clear it with deep breath and brann is useless as shit. Edit: I killed him, but the fight feels more rng than anything skill based, sadly.
man I just cant do this on dev.. I am getting smacked to death. im 612 ilvl.. unfortunately i am pres, so i am not geared for dev. But this is not possible on healer, I am seeing.
I spent a lot of time dying to this, and even then there is always a bit of luck involved. I would still recommend Dev over either of the other two specs simply because you're looking at a 2-3 times longer fight at best, even if you have the damage to clear the cocoons. I believe it's doable at 612 but certainly don't get discouraged, and you can always take a break and come back with a bit more ilvl later to finish the job. I do think the play is to be patient and learn to manage each mechanic consistently so that you can take advantage when a pull goes your way.
This old content that is posted recently it's great.... no one can solo this without 620 ilvl and a miracle.... it says it before you quene for t10 delve you need 620 ilvl.... Lil bro posting nerfed content doesn't help us
I'm not sure I understand this comment. This was done on Friday, after a set of nerfs earlier in the week made the fight much easier. It's definitely still meant to be a challenge, but it's quite achievable now for most classes.
@@mostluckydan Just did it on 609 Devoker, took me many tries (around 4 hours) but I got there in the end. Level 23 Brann, 1/4 Unbreakable Iron Idol and 1/4 Amorphous Relic.
did at 619 this was helpful thank you, hadn't thought of saving deep breath for the dot

Okay, doing this with Devastation is genuinely impressive. That spec needs help.

why do you use fire brath rank 1? instead of rank 3

wait deep breath dispels spittle?

Im the same Item level and hes literally just two shotting me with white damage. I have no idea how you're not dying.
