- In this video you will find information and tips on painting the vestments of a Bishop Saint and the simplest cross pattern on them using egg tempera. Its a simple process overall but demands concentration, and some precision. I explain thoroughly every step so I believe that this video will be helpful for all of you that struggle with painting this kind of iconography garments.

Beautiful garments and harmony with the tonality of the colours. Concerning the cross's, I draw them on the sketch and pass them directly to the board when I am copying the entire sketch. Also, it would be nice for you to create a form for people to donate to your channel. As with PayPal etc. Thanks for another great lesson.

Θαυμάσια δουλειά όπως πάντα με συνεχόμενη ροή, ενώ σ'εμένα συμβαίνει το αντίθετο... κάποιες φορές πρέπει να στεγνώνω με το σεσουάρ ή να αφήνω για την επόμενη μέρα, διαφορετικά μου σηκώνει το χρώμα. Αυτό συχνά με κουράζει και με κάνει να χάνω τον ενθουσιασμό και την έμπνευση της στιγμής... Θερμά συγχαρητήρια για το συγχρονισμό οπτικού και ακουστικού υλικού!!
Προετοιμάζεις με σωστή συνταγή την αυγοτέμπερα σου?
Έχω δοκιμάσει ανάμιξη με σκέτο νερό,με σκέτο ξύδι και με σκέτο λευκό κρασί στο οποίο και έχω καταλήξει γιατί μ'αρέσει περισσότερο η αίσθηση που αφήνει στο πινέλο. Νομίζω όμως πως δεν τα καταφέρνω με την σωστή πυκνότητα του χρώματος. Εκεί εντοπίζω κυρίως το πρόβλημά μου. Επίσης έχω την εντύπωση πως όπου μπαίνει λευκό τιτανίου σε μεγάλη ποσότητα με δυσκολεύει ιδιαίτερα.

Ακριβώς έτσι κάνω την αυγοτεμπερα.
@ELEFTHERIA SIDERA Αφήνει χρώμα στην επιφάνεια με τη μύτη του πινέλου.Εσεις μάλλον πιεζετε το πινέλο στην επιφάνεια και παρασύρετε το χρωμα που έχετε βάλει πριν.

thanks I found it very useful even if not easy ... I didn't understand why you drew all those lines at the beginning, is it possible to draw the crosses directly?
The lines will create an even grid. You will draw the crosses on the grid. That way you are sure the crosses are all equal and straight. Thank you for participating Lia!

I have one question to ask.
When I Finnish the egg Tempera painting, after some period of time, the art begins to peal off. So I'm curious is their a way to cover it with some type of liquid to stop the artwork from pealing?
Hi Helmy! This is a serious issue that you have and it is something a varnish will not help with. How do you prepare your gesso? And your egg tempera? Check this ua-cam.com/video/73rk-nN_F7I/v-deo.html

Please , can u tell me what s the color mix from the face ? I have a project from school , i should to paint an icon , and i don t know the colors..... Tanks
for proplasmos you can mix green siena with ochre depending how dark you want it.. u can also add a little bit green cement or even black. but you can start with green siena and ochre.
for the first lights upon them use ochre with white and for each next fotismos add more white.. and for the rodismos you should use red kinnavari
