Thanks for watching the video! I usually choose topics for my videos that were once challenges for me myself, and I think there are many people who still have those challenges and problems. For example, the wavetable in Serum is a very valuable feature that many people don't know how to use. With this video, maybe more people will become familiar with that section and its features.
@@hrmehrfar keep up the good work and I'm sure such content comes in handy specially when you put it in such a simple way👏✨

Really good video! Thanks!
I'm glad you liked the video. Thank you for your kind and positive comment.
Nice tutorial! Good thing you talked about DC offset.
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful and that the point about DC offset was useful. Removing DC offset is essential when working with wavetables in Serum, as it ensures a cleaner, more balanced waveform. This helps prevent unwanted artifacts and distortion, resulting in a higher quality and more professional sound during your sound design process.
Good tutorial , thank you 🙏
You're welcome buddy, Glad you found it helpful!

😅 That was hilarious 😅😅
Impressive! I hope this is also possible in phaseplant.
Hey there!
Yes, Phase Plant can do that.
Phase Plant is a powerful synthesizer that can be used to create a wide variety of sounds, including sounds that are based on samples. To do this, you can use the Wavetable oscillator and load a sample into it. The sample will then be used to create the waveform of the oscillator.
@@hrmehrfar thx, gonna try this asap
That was great, thank you very much, do you mind sharing the resultant presets with us please?
Hey there, thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I'd be happy to share the presets with you.

Thank you so much for your amazing support! Your comments really make my day
hum I believe you can fet better results with a regular sampler.
Absolutely, using higher quality samples will result in a much better output. Serum synth offers a world of possibilities and always surprises you. In this video, I wanted to show that you can create cool sounds even with a mobile phone recorder. I might make a video in the future using samples from other instruments to create new sounds.
@@hrmehrfar It was indeed interesting to see serum being pushed to what seems it's limit but it does fall short compared to a proper sampler.
Bro, I made the same synth in Bitwig Studio in 3 sec without Serum.
Hi there,
Thanks for your comment! While it's true that creating sounds in a sampler can be quicker, there are several key advantages to using a wavetable synth like Serum for sound design:
Serum provides extensive modulation options, including multiple LFOs, envelopes, and a matrix for routing. This allows for highly dynamic and evolving sounds that are difficult to achieve with a basic sampler. In Serum, you can manipulate the wavetable at a very granular level, morphing between waveforms and applying a variety of effects directly to the wavetable. This kind of detailed control is not possible with most samplers.
Serum allows for precise control over pitch, processing each waveform individually. This ensures that the final sound remains in tune and maintains high-quality pitch integrity. In contrast, basic samplers may not handle pitch changes as accurately, leading to potential tuning issues.
I thought inserting vocals to make synths from vocals was a myth? Someone told me you can write words into serum ( physically typing within it) and it'll make vocal-synths... Do u know how?
It's true but the algorithm is not very accurate. Cool option btw
Yes, you can do that. In the (enter formula) section, type the word you want between two quotation marks, like "ManicMandnb", and Serum will create the corresponding wavetable. By setting the LFO to WT Position and adjusting the crossfade settings and ... you can get a sound out of it. However, keep in mind that the quality might not be very high.
Alchemy in Logic do same things
Logic Pro is a fantastic DAW. I'm sure you'll create amazing music with it.
Only for those who have never written a decent song, then you need toys like this.
While everyone has their own preferences and creative processes, tools like Serum and wavetable synthesis can greatly enhance a musician's ability to explore new sounds and textures. These tools are not toys; they are powerful instruments that many professional producers and sound designers use to craft their unique soundscapes. Creativity and innovation often come from experimenting with new technologies, and there's no one right way to create music. Let’s respect each other’s methods and the diverse paths we take in our musical journeys.
You sound pleased with yourself. Where can I find these decent songs of yours?
You're definitely a European
The court of public opinion has formally requested a link to a decent song written by you @michaelwirth6843
At this point, The AI vocal tools make all your hard work pointless. YOu can literally type in vocals, who you want to sing them and in what style. Done.
They are different,AI only does singing but this is sound design
I appreciate your perspective! AI vocal tools are indeed impressive and can be incredibly useful. However, I believe there's still immense value in understanding the intricacies of sound design and the creative process behind it. Combining both traditional techniques and AI tools can lead to even more innovative and unique results. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
