Well that was mind numbing and dull, I suffer with insomnia so I might use this as a sleep video.
The scenery and beautiful outdoor shots are the heart of the film. The suspense part, not bad.
Loved this.
More than a ghost story, it seems is a schizophrenic with panic attacks cause by meeting her writing deadline for her publisher. I love all the classic music, sunset landscapes and animals connecting with her. I enjoyed all the widows looking out into the woods.
I find this house to be fabulous and if I have to live in it alone, I would go crazy too. ❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing your work.❤❤❤

I personally wouldn’t classify this as Horror, more like a Drama/Thriller/Art-Film combo. The storyline and acting were good, and I loved the use of vintage radio and movies to set the tone - the layering of visual and audio effects helped to tell the story.
I would definitely recommend this film to Those who enjoy a subtle sensory-experience, mild thrills and a good story.
…If You’re seeking action and gore - look elsewhere.

If it's not for the old english houses and the beautiful english countryside, it's not worth a lot ! it's like watching paint dry. We have an idea that the house is haunted but nothing really happens.
So sad. Nothing happens. I was hoping for a resolution. I was hopeful until the end. One sad jump-scare that wasn’t even scary. Why? A waste of incredible atmosphere, and non existent plot 😭

SNORE! If you edit out the pictures of the house and the nature shots you would have a 15 minute tedious movie with a very weak plot. I kept waiting for the eerie moments that never came.

The beginning music for this film is from the original sherlock holmes films with basil rathbone and nigel bruce from the 40 s done by universal i guess this was done to show the audience that she is a crime writer. The music was composed by either Hans J. Salter or Charles Previn the father of film composer Andre Previn.

Good story but the tempo is far two slow. 45 minutes would be enough for this stuff.
49:20 and no plot yet. Varied and somewhat discordant soundtrack is patched pieces of podcasts, heavy operatic female vocals, nature sounds, house creaks and disembodied crying, laughing and distorted voices. House, though furnished without charm or welcoming ambiance, sets up expectation of something creepily undefined. Setting is dramatic if somber but the sea contributes it's unique and universal powerful presence. The adjectives are all here. Some promising nouns. Needs some verb to give it impetus.

B.A.D. Boring, Awful, Dreadful. .. yep that summarises it nicely.
I think boring is too strong a word. It would have been a much better film had the director mentioned in the beginning that the house was believed to be haunted by the sea captain’s wife, instead of cramming everything in towards the end, and the various unsettling incidents could have been spread out a bit, allowing some sort of buildup.
Well, there was no acting. One wouldn’t even need to learn lines…just pantomime. Anyway, glad I had nothing better to do on a Monday evening. A waste? Yes, definitely, but at least it took my mind off the coming hurricane.

Squirrels collect nuts ... and there are plenty to collect in this movie, including the "main squirrel" in this movie who also guzzles gazzilions of litres of wine while listening to old pod casts and other strange media that can be plagiarised for her boring books. Somehow I don't think I will be making the end of this "movie". Loving her "Tough girl tattoos" and the focus on every aspect of her BORING LIFE! The lead character in this "movie" has zero charm and appears to be endlessly unhappy even though she's leading a charmed life as an "author" and staying in a home with surroundings that most of us can only dream of.

I'm half way though now and still nothing has happened. .. oops no sorry .. there's some door knocking action happening now and her Dad the stalker is on the phone again. Never seen anyone use a radio so much in a modern era movie and almost every station she listens to are playing radio dramas that pretty much went out of date with the advent of TV.
