NG 2 also has it so enemies dismembered bodies don't disappear. I've always thought the coolest thing about NG 2 is looking at the aftermath of a hardfought ambush that you struggled in and admiring your work. Not like you picked the fight but satisfying to see end result and also thinking what it'd be like to follow the trail of Ryu on his missions.
Sigma 2 has overblown bloom effect and tons of blur as you can clearly see which ruins the texture details, only few upgrades are lighting and Ryu suit. That is not worth at all since NG2 trumps it by a huge margin.
@@lostalx its more complicated then that. right off the Bat ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Runs natively at a higher resolution then the 360. the 360 version ran at 1024x576 then stretch to 720p. PS3 Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 ran at a native 720p. sadly the PS3 Cell Processor and RSX was so complicated they couldn't figure out how to port the game so many if not all of the gameplay and graphics had to be redone on the PS3 which is why the games look so drastically different with effects on the PS3 not appearing on the 360 version and vise versa. also they wanted to include the same amount of enemies as the 360 but since they couldn't optimize the game for the Cell Processor they opted for a lower NPC count but gave them more health.
I remember playing the original on the 360 when I was a teenager and thinking that it was so intense with all the blood everywhere and limbs laying on the floor. Ngl I wish they would've kept it it seems cooler, maybe more "realistic" that way.
Same, but as a few others mentioned. Sigma's change were du to limitations with the Cell processor as it was developed for the PS3. Thank you for watching.
@@gamingwhileitshot8040 to be honest I hate the master collection because they got the sigma version which is tone down the only reason I bought it it’s because team ninja said if the game gets a lot of support we could be getting ninja gaiden 4

It has fewer unlockable costumes, and has eliminated the old SNES and arcade unlockable games only further setting it back compared to black
Not sure if someone pointed it out, but the original, besides the blood, was the easyness of cutting limbs and finishers. Made combat very fluid and rewarding, even in Master Ninja. In sigma, too many hits are needed. More enemies-less health > less enemies-more health
A few have mentioned that enemies in Sigma have more health. But you are right it definitely makes the combat feel more clunky and less rewarding. Thank you for watching, hope you liked the video to help us make more and better videos.
Sigma 2 graphics and content (including the Plus version) NG2 gameplay, enemy count, more blood and gore That's all it need to make the best version of Ninja Gaiden 2.
Only NG3RE is the game in the collection to feature NG2 dismemberment system but it is inferior to NG2 and body parts tend to clipped through the ground and disappeared after few seconds. I hope Team Ninja will restore the gore and add an option to switch between purple mist and dismemberment.
@@felixr6307 oh we know. What doesn't make sense was that sigma plus 2 did have Gore and it puzzles me why they didn't add it back in. I mean this isn't 7th gen anymore and we have had plenty of games with Gore systems similar to this. The console's now can definitely handle it.
Everything's so sharp and crisp in NG2 with the x enhanced, the lighting and reflections are good as well. while sigma 2 is legit bloom vomit to probably hide the imperfections?? although texture in sigma 2 is better in some areas. Again, NG2 was released in 2008 and still holds up, it was really ahead of its time. Man, If Itagaki stayed, we could have possibly gotten an NGB 2 xD
I do not know why my comment was deleted AGAIN. NG2 is infinitely better than Sigma 2 for many reasons - No overblown bloom, No blur, Itagaki vision of hardcore gore - Blood textures, Delimbing system, massively higher count of enemies to keep the ultra fast paced high speed combat system. Even pause menu and move counter is red showcasing how brutal the game is, weapon upgrades are left to user to deal with unlike Sigma2 where they are given to you, levels cut out from Sigma2, the master collection ported PSVita game - Sigma2+ which is why the main menus for both Sigma and Sigma2 are exactly like PSVita but they didn't add that gore which PSVita release had, I think this is due to Switch garbage release, That console is only fit for remasters at poor framerate and quality so they didn't bother PS3 version and it needs some work too more than Vita probably, and they dumped this just to get console money. Still KT fanboys on steam defend this POS. Horrible. Then Master collection also removed boob physics from the whole game in Sigma2 not just sixaxis jiggle system, they censored even that. KT did an awful trash work, they do not care about PC at all so they stamped the bare bone release with 1st update they added res options and other bugs but it cannot hold a candle to Ninja Gaiden II from Xbox 360. Just watch Iconoclast, ShowR, TheGodFatherdictator, JTM all of these guys have NG2 videos just see how much potential the NG2 has in playing it and mastering it, Ryu Hayabusa is the fastest known killing machine that I know of. Only Vergil can rival him maybe Raiden from MGR but Bayonetta, Kratos cannot beat Ryu's intense action, this game is ULTRA fast and KT is so awful that they lied saying code lost BS drama esp when the releases of the NGB, NGII and NGS, NGS2 are just a year apart. Absolutely shameless KT. Now only way to experience this is either get Xbox One X or Series X (this one gets cutscenes to 60FPS from 30FPS) and looks glorious at high frame rate. OR wait for Xenia to emulate this like NGB Xemu.
@@DeadPanGamingtv Thank you looks like even if I edit they are vanishing lol. I wanted to thank you for the great comparison again since the reply also got deleted.
I was with you until the booby physics. I don’t really focus on that shit when I’m cutting people into pieces. I just started playing the 3D ninja Gaiden games and sigma 2 is WAAAAAAAY too easy, it’s a fucking cake walk. I just think KT need to take the thumb out of their assholes and apologize to the creator. And THEN rerelease the original Vanilla version ported to everything and given free to those who bought the Master Collection beforehand. Also announce a NG 4 already, the world needs it.
@@tokuwriter2872 I don't even care for Women characters playable which is why I want NGII. But they went ahead and removed that from Sigma 2 of PS3, just to appease woke garbage crowd, then I'm not going to support them or turn a blind eye. As for They won't release NGII, if they wanted they could have done with this so called - Master Collection. They are using excuses like no code. It's a lie. They added improvements for NGII for Xbox S|X but they do not have code for offering the same on MC ? Fck them man. As for NG4, it won't happen. NG3RE already ruined the series. They changed Ryu character and for NG4 to massacre this is bad. Itagaki is also gone, so there's no Ninja Gaiden without him.
I've also noticed that in Sigma 2, Ryu always has shurikens equipped and bound to the circle button and ranged weapon (bow or cannon) was equipped to your R2 button for aiming with L2. However watching gameplays in NG2, your ranged weapon is seperated and cannot equip both shurikens and the bow like NG2. I prefer NGS2 because of how versatile shurikens are to keep the combat flowing and cancel certain weapon combo strings as well as using the bow mid air after a flying swallow at the same time.
I personally enjoy the original version best. NG to me is supposed to be a difficult, skill based combat game. Sima nerfed too much and the added sections to little to help. What is the point of the big Buddha statute you fight? I’m happy to have the Master Collection and I hope Koei Tecmo can make new ones, it’s just not the same without Itagaki.
they said they lost the original code from the oroginal ninja gaiden 2, but i think they didnt do it because they need to rewrite the source code from just xbox 360, to one that works with the new consoles
@dsa0224 The fact that itagaki won't take part of a plausible Ninja Gaiden Sequel sucks but Team Ninja Showed that they still can do amazing games on their own, NiOh is proof of that. I just hope that they don't try to force Ninja Gaiden into a Souls game.
Again I am torn between the two there are aspects of both that I like. The opening title sequence in Sigma is cool wish they kept the pan over Tokyo for the chapter read. Once again with the lighting some areas were better in the older game. The part with the statue is cool.
Just pick whatever floats your boat. Personally I prefer the sigma games since they added more content and balanced a few things. But if I were to choose the definite experience I would rank them this way. Sigma 1 Vanilla 2 And razors edge. I don't know there something about vanilla 2 that just sticks with me.
It's not bad, just they nerfed violence, so the original will always be cooler. It's like if they made a version of Doom with nerfed violence, people would say the nerfed violence version sucks. If they never nerfed the violence, maybe people would be saying sigma is the best version instead.
Nope, you need to know the whole story of the primary dev team making the original version while the other dev team creating sigma version. There's a feud.
the reason why the enemy count is lower is because they couldn't figure out the Cell Processor and optimize it. and since they had a tight schedule they opted to just increased the health and lower the NPC count as a trade off. the PS3 Cell Processor was truly ahead of its time and still in 2021 outperforms modern day PC CPUs.
@@matthewjuarbe5826 Sorry man it doesn't outperform in any way. The Cell BE was not optimized even for God of War III which is the TOP title for that console and still a masterpiece today, that game looks excellent compared to Sigma 2, that game also renders at 720P only, but has variable frame rate, it doesn't run at 60FPS at all, sub 30FPS but they optimized that game with it's timeless art style and ultra gore system even with that and still suffers. The console is outdated, yeah it is a good Power PC uArch but it cannot compare to the x86 CPUs. RSX is also bad, which is why there's no transparent textures like NGII this has been explained in DF video on this series. As to note, Switch is touted as same Teraflops as this, it's a joke lol that ARM CPU cannot run any game at 25FPS forget 30 lmao just mentioning how weak Switch is really and how they skew up these TF numbers for advertising. Same for Xbox Series X and PS5, GN did a video and they couldn't even beat 3300X lmao. A 5600X will roast them apart and 7700K OCed will also beat them.
@@lostalx i have the master collection on the switch and it does hit 60fps. Sigma 2 and razors edge have issues maintaining it but i mimize it by over clocking the switch back to its original clocks. And for me i prefer the art style of ninja gaiden 2 but for them to even get the game to work on the ps3 is a masterpiece in itself.
Is Sigma 2 you can lock on honestly makes it kind of easier to hit the enemies I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing your arrows don't charge anymore I think the the fiends and the soldiers are more easier to take out IU saptu playing different weapons in the regular version of Ninja Gaiden 2 in Sigma I just use whatever weapon I feel like using it's like there's no strategy that's the only thing I don't like
Sigma 2 is a more challenging game in my opinion due to this reason. The enemies are about as hard as they are in the first game and put up an actual fight. In NG2 they just do a bunch of cheap stuff and the challenge is more or less the numbers rather than their skills as deadly adversaries. I still wouldn't mind the mobs in Sigma 2 though. Would make the game better by 1 or 2 points in some areas. Better game over all still
One thing I really hate in Sigma when you get your full upgrade for your health it uses it right away I forget the name of it I used to like holding on to those until I really need them but when you grab one and upgrade your help right away I hate that I think it's called Silver health bar yes it uses it right away you can't hold on to it
Life of a thousand gods homie, that’s what your talking about. And another thing I noticed with LOTG is that if you don’t have full health, the health bar doesn’t increase in sigma, only the blue goes up which makes it seem like it does nothing.
With NG releasing on game pass I went back to the series and immediately noticed something was off. They toned down so much for sigma and it is beyond easy to play from what I remember, on top of them giving you free upgrades instead of earning them with money, not even halfway through the game and I have over 150,000 essence that I can't even spend on healing items because it's so damn easy. I also really don't understand the weird censoring of blood and dismemberment, I mean a big part of NG3 story is that Ryu Gored so many people that he got cursed or whatever, so why even bother to censor it? Not like there's a younger audience they're trying to appeal to with the game still being M rated. The devs can't help themselves giving every girl in game HHH boobs, but God forbid a blade causes someone to bleed, that's just too much.
Bc its the sigma plus version that the master collection Added some aspects of gore and more blood but it’s too damn easy I went back and bought NG black and 2 on the series x And man I gotta tell ya, that sigma plus version in MC is a cake walk in comparison of what’s offered in black and 2 I highly recommend you play them on xbox back compat So much worth it Especially black
I'm currently playing through both of these games on xbox series x. I played NG2 to death back in the day, and never really got to try the Sigma version. So far... there are aspects of both games that I prefer over the other. That said, I dont think at this point in my playthrough that Sigma 2 is as bad as alot of the fanbase makes it out to be. It definitely has some quality of life improvements atleast.
Even though I like NGB much more than NG2... NG2 is still a great game. But since the Master Collection released recently I was able to see how awful Sigma2 is compared to the XBox-original. Much fewer enemy hordes, while pushing the difficulty artificially by increasing their damage-output so much that there are many, many one-shot attacks on MN. I'm currently at the start of the Venice chapters on Master Ninja. So far the most annoying oneshots (at full health) are the magician grabs, the descents of the golden dragon fiends in chapters 3 and 4 and the Izuna-like drops by the two bird-tengus in the Momiji-chapter. There's so much bullshit in Sigma2, it's astounding. Biggest dissappointment on Mentor so far for me was the famous battle against multiple Spider-Ninja-bosses + loads of incendiary shuriken ninjas in Chapter 11 in Hayabusa village in the original. In Sigma 2 you just slay 2 Spider Ninja bosses and that's it. Sigma 2 is really pathetic compared to the original.
OMG I will never forget the first time trying to get through the Hayabusa Village with all of those Incendiary Shuriken Ninjas! It really is a shame it did not get preserved. Thank you for watching the comparison. I hope you liked the video and consider subbing.
@@magicmamba915 Yeah, to compensate the less aggressive enemy, you just add the enemies damage more. That ain't ninja gaiden 2. Real ninja gaiden 2 has more enemy count, and more aggressive enemies. To add more context: Sigma 2 enemy count only had 1550 While Ninja Gaiden II had 4600 enemy count. Let that sink in you playstation fanboy. ua-cam.com/video/ujkB_DkAgL0/v-deo.html
The difficulty difference is crazy!!! On Acylote In NG2 I died at least 100 times before I beat the game but in NG Sigma 2 I beat the game while only dying twice.
OG NG2 is MUCH better. Not cause blood, but IA, fight in the water, better IA and real challenge. Pure art of blood. A lot points are different. Sigma 2 has exclusive content, the same for NG2: Tunnel boss, 2 dragons fight, G.Gold Dragon and specific things.
For me it’s the lack of projectile weapons, some enemies in the original were pointless and bothersome, and I also liked how they gave a little more moves to u in the beginning, but a lot of enemies should have still been in the game, the giant Buddha was pointless to me, the Statue of Liberty was cool, but what I really didint like was that you couldn’t start the game over with all of your items and weapons etc
I found it to be poor design to give you all the moves from the start in sigma, Like the Izuna Drop! Thanks for watchin, if you haven't please tap the like button and subscribe to support the channel, so we can make more awesome videos!
They really overdid the bloom in Sigma, to the point where lighter colors look way too bright. Look at Irene in both versions, in NGII she looks fine but in Sigma 2 it looks as if she's emitting her own light. Also, at around 8:38, you can see the shiny glass windows in NGII, but in Sigma 2 they look much more flat. I can pick apart the graphics all day, but what's even worse is what happened to the gameplay. At first I assumed the things like the statue boss fight and the emptier parts of the building were part of the original NGII because there was criticism of the first Ninja Gaiden being too hard, but now I can see that these changes only affected Sigma 2, and that the original NGII was more in line with NG/NGB. I'll need to seek out the Xbox 360 NGII, it's clearly the superior version.
Wish we had a middle version.Og ng2 with its violence body count but with less off screen exploding shuriken and some bosses(water dragon, gigamesh)reworked a bit.Neither version is perfect.I prefer the original but some parts are so annoying that it makes me want to play the other version of that parts...
sad. ninja gaiden 1 and 2 was the last pc port of a game i waited a lot and then i thought my collection will be complete. but i rather just boot up the x360 version still
I feel like a mod that makes the sigma games more like black and 2 will be the only way I would purchase the collection. They were so good as they were.
Thanks for that video. I'm surprised, the 360 version really looked worse. Playing it on Switch and I'm pretty happy with that. The Sigma version definitely has its improvements to the original. Even if the gore is less. But at least they added blood
Really makes no sense why sigma turned down the violence, anyways still a fun game and they fixed a few things that I didn’t like about the og version both wins for me
@lazii man stop talking bullshit . They reduce number of enemies and gore because of the ps3 hardware they prefer better lightning and resolution and stable framerate . If you don't know the original game on 360 works with 576p and have framerate drops when you have a lot of enemies on the screen or just use phoenix ninpo .
@lazii man same as og 2 on 360 both have issues both have amazing combat and smooth and sick animations . Stop talkin shit without any arguments or facts .
I knew I wasn’t trippin when I loaded up the master collection 😭 I was looking for the gore it once had and someone told me I must have been trippin that it was probably never like that 😂
After playing enchanced NG2 on Xbox One X this PS4 NG2 Sigma (ported from PS Vita) is so awfuly bad. Today I played and it's abomination. For PS Vita it was awesome (for a handheld system) but for PS4 this version is laughable. Original is 100x better (gore).
One thing I'd like to know is why sigma had less blood and replaced it with purple smoke? Was it a PS3 issue with the CPU/GPU or was it something else?
Its ashamed. they did a interview telling the nightmare it was porting them to the PS3 at the time. the PS3 Cell Processor was so ahead of its time. they couldn't figure out how to properly utilize it to its fullest potential. they said given the time they had fully optimizing the game for the PS3 was next to impossible so they had to make cuts which they weren't happy.they claim if they had more time to learn the PS3 Cell Processor they could have made the game run natively at 1080p with better textures. a part of me things they were boosting to hide the poor sales of the Master Collection. but a part of me thinks there is so truth to it. Bayonetta on the PS3 runs Natively at 1080p on PS3 but runs at 720p on the 360. but the 360 runs at a solid 60fps while the PS3 struggles to hold the 60fps target.
The Sigmas let's us fire arrows in the air giving us additional combo possibilities. Blood and gore doesn't particularly impress me, the action does. NG2 the enemies are easier but there's more of them, Sigma 2 there are less enenies but they are all around more lethal. They are graphically similar but Sigma is slightly better. NG2 is a better show piece if you want to show off ultra violence, my preference is Sigma 2 on the PS3 for the online play, now I play it on PC cause i don't own a console.
I know that this is a little old video but of a few days do of this month but really I like more ninja gaiden 2 on Xbox 360 because in that version is more bloody without that blue light replace but ninja gaiden sigma 2 Ryu hayabuza has green eyes instead black eyes
For casuals huh? Signa 2 master ninja mode every enemy can 1 hit kil you with a grab, bosses power armor through your attacks then 1 hit kill grab you.
Also i remember watching a video on ngb where the player fought 2- 3 vigoorian berserkers the other berserker just moves around and watches. But in sigma 1 if you fought 3 berserkers at the same time specially on the ruins where you get doku's sword, you fight 1 then the other 2 spam explosive mine magic all the time. You must rely on counter attacks using the lunar because they will keep spamming fireballs and floor magic.
The thing I do really like about sigma 2 is that they did reduce the enemy count. Having 20 ninjas on screen all at once throwing shit at you on mentor isn’t fun lol. Sigma was fun but more balanced and took out a lot of the unbalance
Get good scrub that was the best part of ng2 was actually being able to get thrown into a room with a dozen guys on you and coming out on top. Having less enemies with more health isn’t challenging in any way, it’s artificial at best, and ruins the gameplay at its worst. Sigma 2 is easily watered down to try to please casual players and it didn’t take off at all.
Not only does Sigma 2 have less enemies but it was made on a different, SLOWER engine with sloggier gameplay and feedback overall. Just play the original 360 release on Xbox One X and call it a day. The Sigma 2 black mod simply isn't a substitute for the original game. It's still on the slower engine.
It’s hilarious how Sigma 1 actually has more blood and gore even compared with the original version, but Sigma 2 feels like the complete opposite, less blood, less gore, and even easier, a huge downgrade, I’m not sure who to blame here, the creator for throwing the og code to garbage bc of entitled reasons, or the developers of Sigma 2 for making this unnecessary downgrade
Its Interesting that so many people mentioning the Brutality of NG2, i personally like the optical changes of Sigma Much more. The Lesser Blood has absolutlely no effekt on me.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 has better graphics, but the original is uncensored and in some areas there are more deadly enemies than in Sigma and vice versa. What also changes is the extra content of the Sigma.
NG2 vs Sigma is pick your poison. Neither are properly balanced or have good pacing. Limbs and bodied also stay in Sigma. They just added purple mist and removed limb wounds. There is still plenty of blood. You can just mod it out. And you can make NG2 Sigma into Black bia Cheat Engine. First game, Black or Sigma don't really matter since both are perfect. 2 is far from it. Still fun
Not even using Cheat Engine anymore, it's all drag and drop and proper. I use a mod that makes the weapon combos and movement resemble 3RE, and it makes it so much more enjoyable and it still feels really balanced.
NG2 was my favorite of the series and everything I enjoyed about it they removed in sigma. This was the deciding factor for me to pass on the collection.
You might as well just play NG2 through Xbox backwards compatibility. It has higher resolution through auto HDR and just looks better than sigma 2 on the master collection IMO
Why did you compare Acolytle to Warrior? The difference is staggering anyway in some parts, but this is not a fair comparison. Both have 4 difficulties IIRC
It's difficult to call it. Esthetically they both have their plus points. Unless you can't live without the gore factor of no 2 then Sigma looks just as good.
I'll be honest, I'll never understand what people think is better about the first game, lol. The sigma games are so much better. If anything, they could've improved them even further, especially in difficulty.
Sigma 2 on PS3 used the Sixaxis motion to jiggle breasts. Anytime you moved the controller their boobs would shake. I doubt this was removed from the Master Collection but I also doubt that the collection had the PS3 motion controls ported. It's probably still there if someone mods the motion controls in. I don't have any working PS3 controllers left so I can't try anyway. But that was a hyped feature back then, despite the ridiculous blood removal.
A shame they didn't add the PS Vita version to this collection. That port of Sigma 2 brought the blood and gore back in SPADES due to the backlash of the censored PS3 version. That really was a very dumb change, one among many in fact, from the Xbox 360 NGII.
NG2 has better contrasts..its brighter but also darker... Sigma 2 has too much bloom..but has better textures in some small details overall the gameplay of 2 is just better...more enemies...doing more attacks...more limbs..more blood.....i loved the feeling of just leaving a combat area a bloody mess in 2...
Just play your filthy casual devil may cry, bayonetta, god of war game. Those qte/cutscene simulator is just what makes the hack and slash game more dumb. Ninja Gaiden Series is very different and unique, just hop out if you don't got the best version on your console.

There is alot missing from sigma 2. Not just gore and more bad guys. But also all the video billboards are either blank or have static effects. Very noticeable on stage 3. I really don't like stage 2 in the day time either on sigma. It looks alot better on ng2 at night. Prefer the cutscenes and audio in the original, as it's really quiet in some cutscenes on sigma, plus they're censored. Even the title screen and menus are better on ng2. Sigma 2 graphics and content (including the Plus version)
NG2 gameplay, enemy count, more blood and gore
That's all it need to make the best version of Ninja Gaiden 2.
Only NG3RE is the game in the collection to feature NG2 dismemberment system but it is inferior to NG2 and body parts tend to clipped through the ground and disappeared after few seconds. I hope Team Ninja will restore the gore and add an option to switch between purple mist and dismemberment.
@@dantesparda2505 They lost the code for the original games. We’re stuck with sigma editions.
@@felixr6307I know, I hope they can improve Sigma 2 and restore many things that were removed from NG2 to make it better than the original.
Vanilla 2 on difficulties above hard have terrible gameplay, you just spam UTs and abuse i-frames.

@@lostalx I regret posting in this thread.
I did find the fight in the hall to be more exciting in the original what’s the challenge if there’s no one to stop you from getting up the stairs.
The fight in the building in the original was more exciting then in Sigma what’s the challenge of going upstairs if no one is there to stop you.
they said they lost the original code from the oroginal ninja gaiden 2, but i think they didnt do it because they need to rewrite the source code from just xbox 360, to one that works with the new consoles
As long as I can do the Izuna drop and the guillotine thing, I am happy
Again I am torn between the two there are aspects of both that I like. The opening title sequence in Sigma is cool wish they kept the pan over Tokyo for the chapter read. Once again with the lighting some areas were better in the older game. The part with the statue is cool.
Just pick whatever floats your boat. Personally I prefer the sigma games since they added more content and balanced a few things. But if I were to choose the definite experience I would rank them this way.
Sigma 1
Vanilla 2
And razors edge.
I don't know there something about vanilla 2 that just sticks with me.

its not , this is the internet and everyone jumps on the band wagon
It's not bad, just they nerfed violence, so the original will always be cooler. It's like if they made a version of Doom with nerfed violence, people would say the nerfed violence version sucks. If they never nerfed the violence, maybe people would be saying sigma is the best version instead.

Thank you for watching!
Sigma 2 I honestly can’t complain.
It’s the not getting Black part that ruined it for me
The toned down violence does suck, but for me its just the lower amount of enemies that really bothers me.
the reason why the enemy count is lower is because they couldn't figure out the Cell Processor and optimize it. and since they had a tight schedule they opted to just increased the health and lower the NPC count as a trade off. the PS3 Cell Processor was truly ahead of its time and still in 2021 outperforms modern day PC CPUs.
Is Sigma 2 you can lock on honestly makes it kind of easier to hit the enemies I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing your arrows don't charge anymore I think the the fiends and the soldiers are more easier to take out IU saptu playing different weapons in the regular version of Ninja Gaiden 2 in Sigma I just use whatever weapon I feel like using it's like there's no strategy that's the only thing I don't like
You should've included 2 other differences.
1. Enemies got increased HP.
2. Enemies deal more damage.
It hardly feels like it, though. That was only done because there were less enemies on screen, and they didn't want it to be too easy.
This is True. I get too caught up on the lack of enemies. I barely noticed that do more damage or take more. Thank you for watching.
Better game over all still
8:41 Epic Dragon Ninja
The blur in the background in sigma 2 is annoying I don't like blur in games this is another thing I don't like other then less gore and less enemies
I kind of miss picking out certain weapons that I need to use on certain enemies you don't need to do that in Sigma that kind of sucks though
i will never understand their reasoning for removing red blood in Sigma 2, snice sigma 1 has red blood in it. So why the change?
Bc its the sigma plus version that the master collection
Added some aspects of gore and more blood but it’s too damn easy
I went back and bought NG black and 2 on the series x
And man I gotta tell ya, that sigma plus version in MC is a cake walk in comparison of what’s offered in black and 2
I highly recommend you play them on xbox back compat
So much worth it
Especially black
I'm currently playing through both of these games on xbox series x. I played NG2 to death back in the day, and never really got to try the Sigma version. So far... there are aspects of both games that I prefer over the other. That said, I dont think at this point in my playthrough that Sigma 2 is as bad as alot of the fanbase makes it out to be. It definitely has some quality of life improvements atleast.
No it doesn't. Sigma 2 is watered down trash. NINJA GAIDEN II is full-bodied and aged whiskey.
Sigma 2 is really pathetic compared to the original.
sigma way better then laggy og with weak enemies

Sigma has way less enemies than NG2..you can see the HUGE difference…I prefer NG2 100 times.
maybe less , but they more agressive and have better damage output and more hp
There is some things that changed I do hate the fact that you can only upgrade one time prestige but the upside to that you can save your money
I hope the modding community just mods vanilla ninja gaiden 2 combat into the sigma 2 available in the master collection.
From what I heard it does have new game plus on both versions of the game.
I agreed that the original NGII is the better version.
Wish we had a middle version.Og ng2 with its violence body count but with less off screen exploding shuriken and some bosses(water dragon, gigamesh)reworked a bit.Neither version is perfect.I prefer the original but some parts are so annoying that it makes me want to play the other version of that parts...

Yes
Excellent comparison, a shame that Sigma could not be the same or better as the Xbox version was. More comparison of other games would be great, TY
Thank you. Anything you would like to see compared?
Don’t understand why they took out the blood in sigma games
Ng Sigma 1 still has all the blood. It's only the 2nd one that has purple mist
Not only does the original look better. It feels better. I'm only playing sigma 2 bc it's free for game pass

For casuals huh? Signa 2 master ninja mode every enemy can 1 hit kil you with a grab, bosses power armor through your attacks then 1 hit kill grab you.
sigma on very hard and master ninja way harder then original one
Also i remember watching a video on ngb where the player fought 2- 3 vigoorian berserkers the other berserker just moves around and watches. But in sigma 1 if you fought 3 berserkers at the same time specially on the ruins where you get doku's sword, you fight 1 then the other 2 spam explosive mine magic all the time. You must rely on counter attacks using the lunar because they will keep spamming fireballs and floor magic.
Two had blood and more dlc and the windmill shuriken, sigma 2 had balanced, new playable characters, extra stages and most of all CO OP.
CO OP lmao. You don't need help to finish mission mode. Oh wait it's the sigma versions, a kids game.
PS3 was my preferred console but I think NG2 is the better version once I picked up an Xbox 360
You guys are missing the most important part, they removed the jiggle physics in sigma 2 😠😠😠
Haha, The jiggle physics are absurd in Sigma 1!! Thanks for watching!
That ain't necessary to be honest. What do you want in a ninja gaiden game? Fanservice? *CRINGE*
The thing I do really like about sigma 2 is that they did reduce the enemy count. Having 20 ninjas on screen all at once throwing shit at you on mentor isn’t fun lol. Sigma was fun but more balanced and took out a lot of the unbalance
On god 😂
Get good scrub that was the best part of ng2 was actually being able to get thrown into a room with a dozen guys on you and coming out on top. Having less enemies with more health isn’t challenging in any way, it’s artificial at best, and ruins the gameplay at its worst.

Simply because sigma 2 is kids game
Why did you compare Acolytle to Warrior? The difference is staggering anyway in some parts, but this is not a fair comparison. Both have 4 difficulties IIRC

2 was better than Sigma IMO. Wish I could get it on PS consoles
Yea theses were the old days when Ninja Gaiden was exclusive to Xbox. PS never got the original version. Thank you for watching.
It's difficult to call it. Esthetically they both have their plus points. Unless you can't live without the gore factor of no 2 then Sigma looks just as good.
I'll be honest, I'll never understand what people think is better about the first game, lol. The sigma games are so much better. If anything, they could've improved them even further, especially in difficulty.
og NG 2 even had breast physics ?? Damn!!
Sigma 2 has too much bloom..but has better textures in some small details
overall the gameplay of 2 is just better...more enemies...doing more attacks...more limbs..more blood.....i loved the feeling of just leaving a combat area a bloody mess in 2...
i find the harder enemies pretty good. i hate when difficulty is based on clusterfucking you.
Just play your filthy casual devil may cry, bayonetta, god of war game. Those qte/cutscene simulator is just what makes the hack and slash game more dumb. Ninja Gaiden Series is very different and unique, just hop out if you don't got the best version on your console.
@@Shinobi8893 now hold on a sec the only qte's in those games are only in Bayonetta and gow and even then it isn't even that bad. At least they don't require split second button inputs or your forced to redo the fight. The trilogy tho is a whole other ballpark and even then when there aren't those it's still pretty hard for the average player. But qte's in DMC I definitely know you haven't played them even the reboot doesn't have them and that game sucks.
@Shinobi8893 Lmfao 😂😂😂 Playstation is king compared to crapbox💩💩💩 Just because Crapbox has a polished Turd of a dead game series doesn't mean a thing. Meanwhile Playstation is winning with amazing games like Helldivers 2 and Spiderman 2, Xbox💩💩💩 fanboys are coping with Redfall, Starfield, and Crackdown 3
Xbox's NG2 sacrificed A LOT of lighting reflection and many parts look bland and out of place.
What is up with ponies always starting there name with a Jay?

the original version looks better in some ways, but nothing much, they don't change almost anything, if you play Sigma you won't miss anything.
the statue boss seems copy n paste from the bone dragon in ng1 ...under the monastery ....replace his hands with the claws and the tailattack
Sigma 2 was easier than NG 2
on normal and hard yes . But on master ninja and very hard sigma harder , because enemy have way more hp .
@@magicmamba915 Take out the female parts of the game still easier, I had issues on the extra parts.
ninja gaiden 2 is harder then sigma trust me you will go crazy
Los sigma opacan la bellesa del.original parece ser un ninja gaiden de niñas el sigma
Costumes definitely Sigma better.
But gore is totally I prefer OG NG II
You know what kinda sucks about ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2? There is no new game plus mode. Sure you might get a neat weapon or two but games like this and dmc is what makes me wanna replay it.
Is there a mod to make the PC version more like the original???
Yes actually
How you can execute Izuna drop at the first battle ?
In Sigma, you start with Izuna Drop. You also don’t use essence to upgrade weapons. You just get 1 upgrade per new Muramasa shop statue visit.
@@DeadPanGamingtv They nerfed that game so fortnit generation will be able to play, lol
@@afreet777 This version came out originally in 2009 on PS3, so no, it wasn't made for the "Fortnite generation".
@@MoonOvIce yes i remember that it was called HD version i think but the remastered i heard nerfed more
that buddha boss is best annoying boss design in that game.
tecmo loves to destroy their good games with stupid remasters, same situation on nes trilogy-snes remaster is total shit and i prefer 8 bit versions.i hope they return gore and all features from original part 2
But new characters to play and bosses. So....?
Honestly the only thing that looks better in Sigma 2 are Ryu’s eyes no homo.
they ruined ng1 and ng2 with their "gameplay improvements"
Does anyone know if sigma2 fixed the glitch from NG2 that has infinite spawn of underwater jellyfish?
Yes it's fixed.
