One thing about this lens is that it's way better than NOT having one. For the price you can't beat it. So what if there is chromatic aberration etc. Just get a copy of Neat Image and let that program deal with the lens problems for still images. I'm thinking of getting one just for fun, and yep, I can afford it. :-)
Jerry am Ende To be honest most people say you loose a bit of sharpness and they say focusing is hard work. Most people say its good for static objects, but not good for hand held. I have seen some photos on Flickr and they look a bit out of focus. I suppose I will get one in future when I got money to throw around. On a mirrorless system it should be a great combination. Just need to take the drop in. They are all cheap from international buyers, but if I were to get one from abroad then there is the issue I may not like it and send it back, while paying 30% of the cost in postage. O well I see what happens in future. Yes Google Plus is a bit of a odd social system. You never know who is watching you or if your personal details are in view of the wrong people. I used to get some negative comments on my videos that were very shallow.
Grab a cheap 2X and rock out! Would be a 1600mm f/32 but would be kick ass long! Why don't DSLR's allow for digital cropping? HD video only required about 2MP images, an 18MP sensor is well overkill, so why not allow cropping down from say APS-C 1/1.6X to something more akin to Camcorders 1/2.5x or smaller? Still more than 1:1 pixel mapping. It just seems daft to me, Cool demo.

I would consider buying this lens as its affordable when compared to the canon 800mm Which costs £10,000 to £20,000
