I'm following MMX: Corrupted for years now and it looks so freaking awesome. I really hope that this project will be finished unlike a lot of other fanmade games which were dropped even after several years of work and hard dedication.
I think its awesome that people like a game so much that they make a fanmade game

For Context: Mega Man X Corrupted is supposed to take place after X5, which explains the lack of Axl and the X6-X8 armors, as well as Alia having her older design.
but, in x5, zero died! lol

there will be x6 armors tho. won't want to spoil too much tho, watch the streams
while X6 is not canon to this storyline, however most (if not all) of the X armors were already made before the chronological age of the original MMX. Dr. Light wasn't alive during MMX saga to be actively producing them.

There’s a lot of armors in this game
The original ones are: Phoenix, Hydra, Ultimate Armor and Corrupted Ultimate armor.
The others you saw the helmet are called “legacy armors” (I think JKB, the creator, said they’d be new game+ but I don’t remember) and those are: Light (x1) Giga (x2) Max (x3) Force (x4) Falcon (x5) and Blade (x6, even if Corrupted replaces x6 -it’s post x5-).
Edit: to get them you fight some old bosses: Storm Eagle, Morph Moth, Blizzard Buffalo, Magma Dragoon, Spike Rosered a.k.a Axle the Red and Rainy Turtloid.
EDIT 2: if you wanna know more about updates of the game, join JKB’s Discord. He’s been active a lot as of late, and also he is not the only one working on the game now, that was several years ago. Right now he has at least 12 or 13 people working on sprites, art, level design, tiles, etc. So, you can talk to some of them in DC. YEP

Iirc and if i'm not mistaken the legacy armors are kept for NG+, but are obtainable i believe shortly after defeating the respective legacy boss.

@@soulswordobrigadosegostar Actually JKB confirmed the story happens somewhere after X5, disregarding X6 for the most part.
Zero is there too so it wouldn't be possible for the story to happen after the X6 Zero ending, specially since you'll be able to switch between the two later down the road iirc.

It would be amazing people like this guy be recognize by gaming industry. I would buy this game if he could sell but he can't because he don't own the rights.
If I work Capcom I would try to hire him to release the game and make some profit.
I hope Capcom don't make him stop this project like Square did with Chrono Trigger Remake.

Yeah, the things on the right are ride armor parts, and the blue thingy on the side of the heart tank is a Sub-Tank upgrade

I ve been watchin this team code this game for the past 2 years and I am amazed each stream. The passion that this team has for Mega man is the passion that Capcom had and has been tryin to get back.

A : Nothing about the story will be revealed, besides it being set after X5
This was really cool to see Caleb's reaction and analysis of this game, or at least the menu & intro of it.
I saw it come up a few times about when this game takes place, some people in chat said post X6.. but actually the game takes place after X5 (according to the channel's FAQ). This is why we don't see Axl or other characters from later games. Hope this helps anyone who is wondering about it.
We need to get more people to react to this. This is amazing.

but while she does use a rapid fire blaster like axl, she also uses an energy saber, apparently
both of which can be enhanced with "mods" that she acquires from mavericks

Mega Man X Corrupted is the masterpiece art of all millenial generation, forged in their subconscious mind during childhood in 90'. That game was always there, we dreamed it and it happened.

JKB posted a speedrun video of the intro stage today.
I was helping this guy with spriting Viral Zero in 2006-2007 ish? Not bragging, he redid most of them. But I got to play test. And even that old build felt right. Also, that was almost 14 years ago! This game has been in development forever. Feature creep is real. But, it's a fan game, and I think he really cares about it. So I think when it does come, it will likely be the very best MMX game to ever exist.

To be fair, AM2R was also in development for quite a while. But the wait resulted in a fantastic game for fans of the series, imo. I think this one will be worth it, too.

The only thing I am gonna say is I am looking forward to you and other noticeable MMX speedrunner to run this game. And since this game is a Metroidvania style, the routing is gonna be crazy.

it took 10 years to develop because JKB wanted to add 10 different armors
@@Calebhart42 X will have a total of 12 armors (X1-X6, +3 original armors + Ultimate Armor). Almost all of them will be able to be mixed together which, depending on the combination, can activate a combo ability. Zero also has 2 armors (*maaaaaybe* 3, but thats unlikely), which you are not able to mix.
You got:
-The hydra and the phoenix armor, the game's 2 original ones
-Ultimate armor
-Another version of the ultimate armor
-all armors from X1 to x4
-X5 Falcon armor
-X6 Blade armor
plus, all legacy armors have been redesigned with new and different features. For example, x3 armor's buster full charged has changed and instead of being absolute trash it nows fires the big blast plus 4 homing projectiles. It also counts with the hyper chips and a hyper mode wich turns the armor into its golden mode and activates all chips or something like that.
X1 armor now allows you to make weaker hadoukens without the need of full health and instead it has a now giga attack shinku hadouken that needs your health to be at max and so on with the other armors.
AND IN TOP OF THAT, both Phoenix and Hydra armor parts can be mixed together and different part combinations result in different features.
oh, and Zero has 2 armors now: black zero and viral zero, and the black one has all the skills from MMX5.

So... Not even looking at the comments, just gonna call this now, that yes you get to play with ultimate armor during the intro stage, but him absorbing the core energy is likely going to overload and destroy it so you start status quo armorless when the main mission begins.
This fangame looks pretty nice, JKB deserves respect for this master piece 👏😎

TONS of Megaman fangames with no small amount of fanfare apiece, and Capcom has done dick all.
Capcom’s actually pretty chill with fan games. They made MMvSF an official spinoff, and even promoted MegaMan Unlimited when it was completed. I imagine they’ll do the same thing with Rock & Roll, this game, and maybe even Maverick’s Fury.

To explain why there’s an original character in the place of Axl, this game takes place in an alternate timeline following after X5, so Axl wouldn’t have been created by the time the game takes place, if at all in this universe.

I wonder if there is some sort of legal clause that keeps Capcom from just purchasing this from JKB when it is ready for platforms. And have a code team put it on everything. Sell the game, and give JKB either a 20% per copy sold or a one time.
This would make more people create things some series seriously need.

Strike is honestly one of the coolest oc's I've ever seen.
Correction what you called the falcon set it is called the hydra set and a cool thing is that you can mix and match between the two armor and create different power ups

I think this is Post X5 because Zero is in a Underground facility in his tutorial stage.
I could see this game landing somewhere between X6 and X7. Cuz if I'm remembering correctly X became a captain in X6. Douglas was still fairly prominent at that time as well and it would explain the lack of Axl as well cuz they hadn't found him and Red Alert at that time. That's just a theory tho.

WOW dude... amazing, I'm not even watching to not spoil any of the game, I'm gonna try it myself, I'm only hearing to the commentary... the little that I saw looked AMAZING... basically this brazilian guy is making an SNES ROM look like a PSX game, in terms of graphics, insane!! this guy needs to be hired or something, this is more exciting than all of E3 announcements combined
anyone wanting to support this please try to get in touch with the guy and help him with paypal or patreon donations... with only 200 bucks total you can significantly enhance someone's life in brazil, the currency disparity is that much... with 300 dollars total one can give up his day job for example... share the luck

Yeah, you have to wait until the Nova Strike fully recharged, X buster shot also use energy so if you use it all, you have to wait if you want to use another charge shot (but the energy recharge fast so don’t worry)
The timeline I believe is after X5 retconning X6-8. Strike reminds me of Double, most likely influenced
