Deja vu for me as I grew up in little Sherrill NY and my dad took us camping on Lake Ontario and the Adirondacks occasionally. Even though I live in Northern California now I always feel a pull for the eastern forests, hills and mountains of upstate NY possibly because my maternal grandmother was a full blooded Seneca going back many generations. You know one of those N.Y. Native Americans. Also I would like to compliment you for not making your vid a series of selfies like so many other outdoor channels do.
Great video once again! You're in my neck of the woods near Lake George, Queensbury, etc. I have a 2012 JK and I'll take a road trip into the Lake Placid, Saranac Lake & Tupper Lake areas too. My problem is that I only have a 2 door and no roof tent lol. There are some awesome tunnels in Lake George that take you under the Northway and it's a pretty easy climb to a small reservoir and scenic waterfall. My jeep has a stock suspension and is my daily driver so I'm careful with it.
Thank you! It was my first time in the area and I was blown away. Seems there’s a ton more to see though, that’s great to know, I’ll have to go back. I’ve seen some smaller individuals make a 2 door work for car camping😂seems a bit uncomfortable though - a ground tent’s probably even better. Still running a stock suspension on mine as well, definitely need to upgrade soon!
@@mattzefi here's a link to a video I did on those Lake George tunnels - nice little trip - stock suspension is fine: ua-cam.com/video/Is7vaOwVC94/v-deo.html
@@mattzefi Matt - my previous UA-cam channel where you watched the Lake George tunnels video somehow disappeared along with 6 years worth of videos. I've started a new channel and re-visited the tunnels a couple of days ago to get footage. I placed directions in the video description, but the video itself shows you turn by turn should you ever come back up this way. ua-cam.com/video/8dMbMyzdrO8/v-deo.html
It was nice meeting you on the hike yesterday. Sorry, I think we took a long time getting out of the lemon squeeze too 🤣😂 A lot of first timers in my group. Anyways great channel! I sent it to all my Jeep friends. Looking forward to seeing more.
Hahaha your group was way faster than the group in this video! It was great meeting you too on such a beautiful day to hike! Thanks so much for checking out the channel
@@mattzefi I’m glad we didn’t hold you up for too long. 🤣 Btw I don’t see your Instagram here. Would like to give you a shout out on my page, some of my followers will probably be interested 😁
Amazing video just saw your headliner video your video quality is amazing but the Contrast and black level are high I barely see what you are cooking there
Outfitted my 392 for long trail adventures inThe SW when living in CA but immediately moved to lake Placid. Yikes where do I go now and with who. Help.
That sounds awesome! There’s so many great spots there in Lake placid, although not nearly as many as out west obviously. There are some meet ups in the tri-state that are great as well, I also plan to host one in the future 🙌
Dude the underwater drone footage is amazing! Can't believe you pulled that off!
Hahahaha I do what I can
Some beautiful shots! Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks a ton for watching!

@@mattzefi What drone are you using? Those shots looked really good. I'm assuming its waterproof? :)
@@buscampers Thanks!! I was using a Mavic 3 but the drone crash part was a DJI Avata. Definitely not waterproof lol but it survived thankfully!

Love it!! I live in CT and have been looking for some places we can go on the weekends. Which hike was that in Mohonk???
Thanks! The labyrinth. Such a fun hike, but all of Mohonk and Minnewaska are amazing.
Nice to see some east coast love. Little boring watching the same stuff from the west. Being a midwestern guy I got some great idea.
Thanks man
Glad to hear! The east coast is constantly slept on, but definitely has a lot to offer
Absolutely stunning drone footage. Need to go there someday.
Thank you! It’s my favorite place to be.
Interesting trip, really great video, thank you for sharing your experience
Thanks for watching!
