Chip is always smiling... infectious energy
Joann did a wonderful job. Out of her comfort zone. No rustic and heavy wood. This is more a European style house. Great dinners outside at the Patio.
You know the best design happens when a designer is pushed out of the comfort zone. Unless it is a total bust.... which obviously this was not! She always rises to the challenge!

Joanna and Chip are two wonderful people. I love the way they work together, motivated, intelligent. Joanna is so classy. Chip has a great move and humor. They love each other and great parents.
You can tell they put some special love into this one. It’s so obvious the small extras really took it to the next level. I know how much love you can have for your nephews and nieces! I love mines as if they were my own kids ❤️
Finally.....something different. I love all the other homes they've done but, it's nice to see a different style. Beautiful.

I love love this house, I have looked at the video many times.I grew up with the Mid Century furniture in The Netherlands.
The Mid Century houses and furniture are still my favorite design.
To do it for ur family is the toughest part but it gives you immense pleasure n satisfaction. God bless u all.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS HOUSE. Absolute WOW. Joanna needs to get out of her comfort zone more often. Besides this house I've only seen one, maybe 2 others that were more modern/retro, not the "modern farmhouse" look that's so everywhere now.
Although I really admire Jo's interior ideas, I personally prefer no distressed pieces with old vibes stuck to it. This whole interior is refreshingly perfect! Fantastic decorating!!!

I LIKE THE FACT THERE IS ALOT OF LAND/GRASS FROM CURB TO THE HOME. THE BLOCK BREEZEWAY IS DIFFERENT. THE ENTRY IS NICE BUT I WASN'T EXPECTING THE KITCHEN TO BE SO CLOSE TO IT. THE BLACK INCASED DIVIDER IS NICE & WINDOWS THROUGHOUT HOME...A FAV OF MINE. is there a habitat for humanity or a resale store /community donation center that can use any of these discarded items such as cabinets or appliances rather than destroying them- seems wasteful to toss this into the waste stream when it can be put to further use especially for those
who may need help

This is what a house is supposed to be like! But I was wondering, since she is Jo’s sister, does she have a discount on the furniture, because the furniture does not come with the house I don’t think.
I think they stage it so it's not even theirs to give away
I’m sure Chip and Jo gifted them everything. At one point in the episode, they joked about the bill and the subtext was that it’ll be a gift. But yes, for the average Fixer Upper family, most of the furniture is not included.
