Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. (Luke 11:35) Can you cleanse your inner vision until you see nothing but the light? (Tao 10)
I heard your for the first time the day of your passing & can't listen to you enough. You are going to live on through your wonderful messages. Welcome home.
This is a seriously underrated sermon, bar none, and one of Dr Keller’s best. Sir, we need you here, and at the same time I’m thrilled you are reaping your reward in heaven and enjoying eternal rest in Christ.
Is anyone else doubtful that there are only 1.5k likes? For some there are TEN. Timothy Keller did nothing for 'likes', but so many people are blessed by these sermons that I really doubt the 'likes' reflect reality.
"the Father experienced son-lessness on the cross." Interesting angle! I also appreciate how Keller goes at length to explain that forgiveness ultimately involves someone having to absorb the cost/pain of the wrongdoing. The cost/pain doesn't just magically disappear. I wish preachers would be more aware of that whenever they preach to (or try to emotionally blackmail) the congregation about forgiving all wrongs.
Thank you so much for this format of having the subtitles moving along with the speech of Pastor Tim!! It is so helpful for those from non-English background to follow easily, people with learning difficulties like ADHD to concentrate better, and so much more. God bless your ministry and Pastor Tim 🙏💕
There are many little children who know that they are NOT accepted at all. It took me nearly 70 years to know that God accepts me. But thank God, I finally know His love from listening to David Benjamin- ChristiansNeedTheGospel. The Good News is extraordinarily good!
@Cynthia B - Amen sweet sister...🙏. I came across David Benjamin's video on ("beating up the saints" - paraphrasing). I'm 57 and my life of heartache is being put to rest as I heal in Grace alone. I have been so broken that I see Jesus patience and gentle kindness - finally! He is pure love and we have no clue down here! Maranatha 🙏💕
Very true indeed and tragic. I grew up in a Christian home, and yet, though the people around me said "justified by faith alone", in reality, their lives and actions outside the confines of the Church was "by works alone". Even now, I struggles to believe that God loves me just as I am and that I have intrinsic value simply because I am created in the image of God.
thanks to Pastor Tim Keller, i am able to feel the personal love of God better than i had before. A child like mind starting @ 37:43 it makes sense and i didn't really think of it that way before, until now. Thank you Pastor Tim. God bless you richly and abundantly in Christ Jesus, Son of God, Word that became flesh, Lord and Savior. Amen.
I could never understand this like I do now I love my lord Christ I have always felt like a child in my faith from the age of 5 I’m now old that faith sustains me
Good message. I am a tiny bit pedantic. I can't help mentioning that Mohammed didn't exactly die in a noble or honorable way. He didn't have a hero's death. He had failed in his attempt to go to Mecca. He returned humiliated. He then attacked the Jewish settlement of Khaibar. He had the leaders beheaded, one tortured, and he took women captive. One of the Jewish women poisoned his food and he died slowly and painfully.
God sent His Son, because of His MERCY, while knowing the HELPLESSNESS of His children, otherwise prophets in old testament would work well without our LORD Jesus having to come to give His life.
He explains it like few others can. God bless you brother Tim. Keep you alive for many more years so that you could declare the truths of God’s words.
Indeed, like few others.
Okay
the explanation about the child like faith has allowed me to feel the love of Jesus Christ, God, more personally

RIP pastor. You have inspired me to deepen my walk with Jesus through your messages and perspectives. Thank you for being faithful to your call.
You were wrong… many, many, so many know and will continue to remember you. We thank God for you. Rest in eternal peace!

Me too - I was about the same age when I finally understood that God actually loved me, and Jesus suffered so dreadfully just for us 🙏❤️

I LOVE the way you explain the scriptures! Thank you. I'd love to know what these translations are from the Hebrew
Great Teaching

Beautiful sermon.
It was a necessary energetic exchange/purchase that no one would be willing to pay which why we ask to see the receipts and boy did he show us
