Those squeelzzz are extreme and amazing. And for the record that Damageplan album was DOPE too.

There is in my mind absolutely NO COMPARISON between Kirk and Dime. On a rating scale Kirk is a 7 and Dime was a 11 and 3/4. The creativity alone puts Dime off the scale, but also the complexity of his playing was simply too much for Kirk. Actually Randy Rhodes and Zakk Wilde are closer to Dime by way of comparison. Kirk will always be great because of being in Metallica, but as a pure guitarist, Dime was simply at a much higher level.

I have seen them multiple times live. Is he a bad guitarist? Obviously not, but compared to a lot of other lead metal guitarists there is no doubt that he is mediocre when but up to others. Yeah he may use excessive wah on the "newer" albums, but the biggest problem is the over use of pentatonic scales and 22nd fret bends on the high E string. While people like Angus Young mastered it, Kirk has not.
Dimebag easily. Now, yes, I know these two are completely different styles, but if you said Dimebag vs. Stevie Ray Vaughan, I don't know if I could truly answer that one.
This is a hard match up but imma have to give it to Dime. Kirk and Dime are both outstanding guitarist but I feel all of dimes stuff is completely authentic and can't be perfectly replicated or copied like Kirk's solos can.

bro i love mayhem! when i heard the intro riffs from life eternal, from the dark past, chainsaw gutsfuck, i picked up my guitar immediately to learn them. my parents are truly sick of hearing the freezing moon solo from my amp... that being said, sorry, but no fucking way is euromann even in the top 5. his riffs are *very* cookie-cutter, and he's a lot like if kirk hammett were black metal but i do like euronymous better than kirk tho stylistically, but he's barely intermediate...

Dimebag could play as fast as Kirk but he was more melodic in his solos. Just listen the solo of the Sleep or floods, cemetery gates. Dimebag was not about speed but melody and soul. Kirk is all about speed that is why I feel bored listening to him. his solo looks alike to me, I don't feel anything, no soul. I prefer Hetfield solos much easier but more melodic. And Dime was way cleaner and accurate even in live after 1 or 2 bottles of Whiskey before go on stage, I've never heard him messed up a single song in live, we can't say the same about Hammett. With the time Hammett got lazy and sloppy.
