I’ve seen quite a few Evoque Convertible reviews and surprisingly you’re the first to mention LRs of old. In fact all 4x4s (may be apart from trucks) from Jeep to LR to pretty much any others where first soft tops. So indeed it is a great fact and analogy. Also E-C makes way more sense out in a woods or in a field than any other convertible out there on the market. Thank you for a great review!
I'm waiting for my evouque convertible coming in about 5 day!!!! They are lush!!!!!! I live in London and you know that with all the traffic we have I'm gonna rock this baby!! Can't wait!!
This is why we like your channel Pete. ...your testing all sorts of cars👍like the colour combo with the gloss black but can't see you fitting 4 people's luggage in that tiny boot on a trip down to the South of France 😨
Cheers Mate. I'm getting to understand more about what I can do with iMovie. I aim to get better each time. Feedback like this is great to get as it means I am doing that. Glad you enjoyed the video. Ped.
Nice video pedro. I think that's a great feature being able to lower and raise the roof at a reasonable speed. Another great video. Nice use of different angles. Clearly you will make it seem slicker. But you have the potential to make some seriously well put together videos. Keep up the good work
I'm impressed by how well you did all the shooting yourself. A pretty honest review too. However, doesn't this hi-tech (?) car come with a rain sensor to automatically put up the roof when it's raining? One more glitch which looked really bad from the front angle of the camera, was that the top of the inner trim of the driver's door (and probably the passenger's too) didn't align with the top of the rear side panel. It's the little details which make the big difference.
Nice video Peter, not sure about the singing!!!!! Sorry, as for the Evoque not my cup of tea, hard top or convertible but i am sure they are nice SUV's as far as SUV's go.
Cheers Rob. It would be boring if I only did cars everyone liked. One of the reasons I like this car is because I know some people people will hate it !!! It was a nice SUV though. I agree, my singing needs work !!
Great vid Pete! I can totally see the appeal and actually think it looks pretty good. I wouldn't buy one but that's mainly because I'm not a fan of convertibles. I am a fan of LR and of off-roaders in general so i'd love to see a version that's more 'utility' focused, maybe raised suspension, chunky off road tyres, a winch etc. I think that might look pretty bad ass and have a purpose as you pointed out! The original LR's and Jeeps had no roofs and thinking of this as a modern day version of one of those makes more sense than as you said; an Evoque that's had its roof cut off! I'd of liked to see more of the on board tech/nav system and the options that are available/spec'd, particularly the engines. Was this the diesel or the more powerful petrol? Love the colour, works well with black wheels but not a huge fan of that particular style of alloy (but just my opinion). Anyway, thanks again Pete. Look forward to the next! Cheers Matt
Cheers Matt I had to make a call as to what to cover otherwise the review would have been an hour long ! This car had the new JLR Ingenium 2.0 Diesel. A super engine with a nice balance of economy and performance. I love the colour too !
This compact convertible SUV is all I have ever dreamt of for the period I was 12 to 30 years old. I still would love to have it since I already have a miniVan to carry my mom wife n twin babies, this compact SUV convertible could/still be my personal dream vehicle for off road adventures, country side mischeavous travels, driving in steep roads of hilly mountains, or Swamp with mates or family. Will this ever be available in Bangladesh?
Sorry but it's a very niche market and can't see them selling many especially in the uk,the evoque is primarily driven by women in my experience and lifting the roof is narrowing the market...and it's looks aren't nice

The only people that complain about the Evoque are the ones who can't afford it !!!!!
I love my Evoque !!!
Looked like a BADASS when you did the side shot with the roof going down

I know. The boot was pretty small. You'd have to pack light...all you need is shorts 😜
...your seem to be getting much more professional each time I watch your reviews! Keep up the great work.

Cheers Eddie. I'm slowly getting there 😜
Good honest review there. Keep up the good work.

Nicely done. Killing it again with the work flow mate. When you replacing Matt Watson.
Cheers :-)
I'm open to all job offers !!!
Looks nice. Love the colour! Looks best with roof down. Sweeeet!
The colour really did pop. The spec of the car I drove was mega. I loved it !
+Petrol Ped I've the HSE luxury and it's a fab spec on the disco sport
I've seen one IRL and I would like one!

Looks a bit naff with the roof up but when it’s down actually looks quite fun

Great video Pete .. What's the list price as tested ?
In the region of £48,000 I think. Not sure if this particular car had any options that would take it above that as it was fully loaded.
+Petrol Ped my wife loved it could be a visit to our local Dealer tomorrow lol .. Keep up the good work mate 👍
Cheers Jeff. She won't be disappointed ! Maybe you could let the dealership know about my video !!!
+Petrol Ped no problem Pete I will do 👍keep up the good work bud
hot selling car in southern California,
I bet...no chasing the sun needed there !
Should be hard top not fabric
Doesn't do it for me...

What if I told you that 2 of my friends are considering.
Harwoods Pulborough have sold 10 already. I agree it's a niche market but we love a convertible in the UK. It will be a very Marmite car.
Nice review but, in my opinion, one ugly, messed up car.
An abomination.
Not a fan then ?! ;-)
