Love it! Having so much fun even if it's a little on the easier side. Mr. Sinister for solo can be a little unforgiving especially with the plus 1 scheme if that's the random one you start with
I have all the content for Marvel Champions, it's just finding the time to play is the tough part, and the way I play I love picking one hero at a time and putting it through all sorts of different scenarios and builds before moving on, so it will take me forever to get through all the amazing content out there.
Thanks for the run-down on the box! I agree with much of what you said. I think we can safely say, regarding Anthony Fanchi's design ethos, this: he has an excellent grasp of player feeling. I think he gets it, at an elemental level, how it feels to lose a game or to snatch Juggernaut's helmet off his stupid head and then blast him with a giant psionic attack. Regarding Juggernaut, absolutely nailed it mechanically and thematically. I played the campaign once through so far with lightly modified base decks for Cable and Domino on standard. It was but challenging. My first campaign side scheme was Prepared Defenses because how important blocking was. Cable with a 3/4 defense and 1 retaliate and Askani'Son threat removal allowed his big, stay-around, non-chump blocking allies to shine, specifically his daughter Hope. All of the villains either hit hard or need to be blocked so that permanent bonus was clutch every time. But, pouches was second and Domino is silly with her 1990s-style pouches!
Very cool! I agree that the box is amazing and definitely one of the best ever. Player side schemes alone are fantastic but 2 new great heroes and 5 great scenarios? Heck yeah. Love it.
I love the idea of Hope’s encounter set. It’s nice to have a way to help mitigate tougher scenarios. With Hope’s help I might actually play GMW more often. While 1 Attack/1 athwart may not be flashy but overtime does help
@@NelsonAllOverCards I am hoping they make positive encounter sets like her in the future. It would help adjust difficulty for those of us with middling skills plus it can help encourage the use of harder mod sets if we have ways our buff ourselves
I started the campaign in expert mode last night, it's the first time I'll do a campaign in Expert mode, and I managed to keep the HP of both Domino (leadership), and Cable (justice) full for the first scenario, let's see how I do for the rest 😁 I'm a bit worried about the Nasty Boys, I had a lot of trouble with the Acolytes when playing Magneto, Teamwork is really tough, plus the Marauders ... Domino is my favourite right now, manipulating the deck and discard pile is a lot of fun. I find Cable good but has to put the extra work with the player side schemes, definitely great in multiplayer, really helps Domino get her guns and upgrades faster. I also enjoyed the victory points mechanics in Sinister Motives, I was so happy to get the Helicarrier at the end to fight Venom Goblin, that really made a difference, but I like that they keep changing the mechanics to get the rewards.
Great review. This box is probably my second favorite after Sinister Motives. It might have been #1 if not for that Hope Summers requirement. She’s a great mod set, I just can’t get over being forced to use her soooo much. I’m also looking forward to the rest of the heroes in the cycle. If the rest of the heroes are as solid as this box, this may end up my favorite wave.
Thank you! And thats fair! I enjoy the requirement for some of these scenarios! Makes them feel different, but totally get how that could be a turn off for some people! The rest of the heroes all look phenomenal! I cant wait to get them!
He can if he’s in alter ego! I do think it will be a really easy matchup for Deadpool (I think he will have a lot of easy matchups honestly 😂) but if you take too many hits then you’ll start taking two each round (one normal and one for scheming out) and he can only survive one of those if he uses his ability because it won’t trigger if he’s already in Alter Ego!
What are your thoughts on the newest Xforce box?
I loved it so far. Fresh in many ways and coming with good heroes is always a plus!
@@samsgamecave497 100%%% so good!
Juggernaut is so much fun! The highlight of an extremely good box
@@tylerjromeo it’s such a fun design, love the altered challenge he provides!

This box is a really good sign for the future of this game.
💯 💯

That is awesome! Yea I want to run through with a perfect defense build and grab Prepared Defenses first! That sounds epic!

Thanks for reviewing this! Just ordered this after beating Mutant Genesis.
I am looking for my next expansion after RORS and SinMo. I am really intrigued by PSS. Do you think I should go MG or Next Evo?
Just got this expansion! It's the first one I'll play after I'm ready (only played the core box for now)
Oh nice! Enjoy so much!!

Did you do a Domino review already??
Not yet! Should be out either tomorrow or Wednesday!!
Deadpool is going to make Juggernaut easy. He can’t scheme out and he can’t kill Deadpool....
He can if he’s in alter ego!

@@NelsonAllOverCards good point, but I still think Mr. Pool will have a much easier time with Juggernaut than most!
@@mikesays08 oh 100%! He will be a beast!
Best expansion box so far. Great heroes, great scenarios, and best campaign.
Thank you for the kind words! And I totally agree, love this box and makes me super hype about what is coming next!
I agree. After red Skull this is just what a box should be! Approachable and fun!
