Hi, I found that even if I don't put the filter of "[get param=filename default=0]", the view still show the same after the form is submitted, so what difference that "[get param=filename default=0]" make?
In this example, it's not tied to a blog post. It's a separate newsletter that we want to have more subscribers, and we're giving one specific download when they subscribe. If you have multiple downloads, you can put them all in the same success message when they sign up, so they don't need to fill out the sign-up form multiple times.
I paid to get access to the PDF upload feature and then got to the step about creating a view and hit another paywall. Apparently, to complete this setup, you have to purchase the Plus not the Basic setup. Is there a video describing how to send PDFs to new subscribers under a Basic subscription??
Creating a view is a plus feature but depending on what and how you want to send the PDF to them, basic can be all you need. Create a ticket at formidableforms.com/knowledgebase and our support team will be happy to help!
It's okay, but what if someone types junk ids and downloads the file. How to send the stuff to the visitor's inbox to avoid any possible registration with junk id? That way, it would be surer to get valid email ids. Pl explain.
In the form permissions at 1:34, you can set the role for the file. You could then make sure everyone that downloads it has an account with your site (and needed to submit an actual email account).
Hey, I'm Dennis the developer of CatFolders - WP Media Folders. I'm interested in integrating your Forms File Upload field with our WordPress plugin. Would you be open to this opportunity?
so I decided to give soft softs a try. I just subscribed to your channel
The file does not show, it gives me a long link that's not clickable
Super video

Is there a way to do this on a free Wordpress blog? with out plug in
If there are multiple blog posts that have downloads - will the person be asked to "subscribe" and enter their name and email each time?

Great video, however, I'm stuck at the Entries stage. It won't allow me to upload or drop a PDF 'Sorry this file type is not permitted.'
Weird! I'm sorry to hear that. If you reach out to our support staff at formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/ I'm sure they can get this sorted for you.
same. did you manage to get it fixed? :(
Same problem,
Hey, just go on the File Upload settings and click "Allow all types" because by default it is restricted to some files.
Dos this work for a godaddy website?
As long as you have wordpress and formidable forms installed, yes! It doesn't matter who your host is.

hi Dennis. May I know if you know how to integrate a form to download different files and how much you charge?
Gotta pay to do it, so forget about this👎
