So happy for the family and friends of Carla that this case has been solved. A lot of hard work by detectives all these many years has finally payed off. Thank you to law enforcement and all who worked on this case. Continued prayers for the family.
I just arrived in Fort Worth Texas in February 1974 and found out on my first day at Western Hills high school of her murder. I too hoped and prayed that they will find him after all these years. I never meant nor did I know her, but prayed to God every time I thought of her. God is great and after 46 years of not knowing, we got him finally. May you rest in eternal peace Carla Walker, your soul is free.
@@barneyronnieoh good grief, yes she probably would have but you didn't really have to say this. It makes you sound like you're accusing this person of something.
Carla's brother had joined the Fort Worth Police Dept with the goal of finding Carla's killer. However it was discovered that he had an eye condition that would result in him becoming blind and had to stop. Even so about 6 years ago he helped a Fort Worth officer arrest a crime suspect. He hadn't become completely blind at that point. He is a devout Christian and involved with his church. I'm so glad that Jim, his other sister, and Rodney now have justice.
I wish they found him many years ago. He has lived his life all this time not thinking of the girl he killed so many years ago. He will have little time in prison before he dies and that is not justice for the 17 yr old that lost her life.
@@sherraleeclark1654He brutally, brutally assaulted her for 2 days!!!!! before he killed her.We also had a cold case that was solved after 40 years. He turned out to be a Serial killer/ rapist and was sentenced to life
Citizens should be able to donate to a fund that rewards such exemplary work by police, even so late in the day & based on new technology. There are thousands of victim families worldwide who will never get closure because such quality of work can’t be taken for granted, even today. Most importantly, fewer killers/rapists/abductors will dare do what they used to be able to do, in the past. That will be REAL change!

Good on you little brother. You never gave up on your big sister.

She probably would have been happier marrying her boyfriend and having children... rather than, ' being free.'
