I knew i was not gonna be able to get through this add video without seeing something displayed in their shop regarding their leftist political leanings. Unfortunately, it is they only heavy metal record store. There is only 1 heavy metal bar (the other play more rock or only have metal on now and then).

@dimifisher7942 The different genres of metal are not very popular here in 2023 (at least not openly). There is a huge drill (rap) street gang membership culture here that is currently very popular, this is they most popular music scene, unfortunately. There is also a HUGE muslim community, many of whom will attack and not tolerate extreme metal genres. Literally, you will be attacked, labelled a devil worshiper, and even landlords will kick you out. Many people here into extreme metal keep it a secret and live a double life to at least some degree. The uk is becoming increasingly intolerant and authoritarian. People who post on social media that they are into for instance black metal or grind core risk bullying at school or work, social isolation and opportunities being takek away from them, this was always the case but it is much worse now than it has ever been. Even the once alternative parts of the city like Camden are no longer as alt as they used to be, you would be mocked by some in even these once alt enclaves now of you dressed openly punk or metal. There are some establishments and stores that partly service the metal community, but there are hardly any who just have a metal only customer base. A decent number of people are secret metal heads but you'd never know if you walked past them in the street, the different metal scenes have been driven so far underground by the break down of society and the hatred to people who are outsiders or different that there isn't much of an underground real world scene anymore here, its been driven below the underground to the point you don't meet up at places much in real life even, your forced to listen in secret on headphones on your lunch break and not mention it to your colleagues in the office, maybe talk on a forum at night rather then hanf out in a metal bar. There are gigs and very few, but mostly, it is as above.
@@Deatg-ek8rf man i don't really know if this is true, it seems very unlikely to me, there are many popular bands from uk who tour constantly and i m sure they tour in London also i can name a few but most probably you know them
@dimifisher7942 I'm in a metal band, we don't have a song yet, I also on the side am planning to make 1 man black and doom projects. London has metal bands yes, they get a taxi to a rehearsal space and do metal there and at home they use edrums and headphone amps. You can get away with band t shirts because the hipsters wear them. But I dare you to walk though any lower class area of London in full corpse paint, you could literally die, the gamg members will 100% not tolerate it and once alternative friendly areas like Brixton and Camden are now gang infested. Forget walking the estate just playing metal loud out of the window isn't smart, I live in a high street and have had people shout devils worshiper, had groups of guys knkock the door and attempt to get in and my landlord has threatened to evict me and accused me of being an idol worshiper. The last guitar I brought the seller refused to let me walk with it through Peckham from his apartment to the tube in case I got attacked and he actually drove me home to ensure I got back safe. This is the unfortunate state of being a metal head in London (I don't wear corpse paint and wouldn't but just being to metal in general isn't a smart idea unfortunately).
