Time has run out for one of the historic train cars at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. While this is sad, the good news is that several more will be rescued. Chattanooga TN
Very sad indeed....especially for us Chattanoogans. 😢 I can remember when I was a small child our parents would take us down to the station house. I was always amazed at how BIG the place was! lol! My dad (God rest his soul) would tell us stories about his train travels as a small child to Baltimore to see family. He had some tales to tell too. lol! Thank you for this trip down memory lane this morning. I will always cherish those memories. ❤
It's a sad double edged sword. Would you rather see them sitting there rotting away, knowing they're beyond repair. Or part them out to better some of the others. Thanks for the video. I believe you documented a piece of history with it.
aww that is sad.. it looks like an old carnival town. i remember the movie by the same name, idk if it had anything to do with this place or not, i dont think it was but i was very young
I hate that they demolished that particular one but I am at least encouraged that they are trying to save the others even if they don't end up at the choo choo every train car saved is a bit of History
So the trolley ended up getting gutted and now its a bar at Bluebird Row Apartments that is in the back (Where the old Ice Skating rink was, then Track 29)
The Tennesse Vally Railroad is a great place! Its good to know that those cars are going to a nice place! Thanks Andy you have done well as usual!
Thank you I'm just glad that as many as possible are getting rescued. The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum will definitely put them to good use
Wow oh wow.... That's amazing. Thanks for taking us along
I hope to have a video of one of the cars being lifted next week

I hate to lose even one but at least they are trying to save others and not get rid of them all

Yeah I wish they had kept up with them for the last 30 years but an thankful that as many as they are doing are getting saved

This breaks my heart 😢
Yeah but it could be worse. They might have decided to demo all of them
Same sad thing 😢
This makes me sad seeing this happening 😢
I stopped by the choo choo today, forgetting that I hadn't watched this video yet. Have they published plans for what they will put in their place?
Some cars will be restored and moved around. Some are going to TVRM and the 2 dining cars will go to new homes. At least most will be saved
It sad enough that the spur track Into the terminal got removed so TVRM can’t access it anymore
There was a brief Resurgence for a couple of years for the line coming in on the way to Florida but that didn't last long
Oh that just sad seeing tennnse being denounced
Yeah it was sad to watch
Super sad
The good news is at least they are saving a lot of others
My heart feels as someone drove a knife in it
It's sad for sure
Same here 😢
What happened to the trolley

@@AndysJourneys why did they stop running it and when
Rides ended sometime in 2015 or so. It sat in the back of the property for a while. I got to film it in 2016 when it was sitting in back
