In the F-4, We used to use 10 degree for Low Angle High Drag (LAHD) and 15 to 20 degrees for Low Angle Low Drag (LALD). For both, we did a low altitude approach, popped up then rolled in for the dive.
Thanks for the video, I enjoyed your clear diction (important for those of us who are not native english speakers) and clear explanation of what you are doing. I liked that you went beyond the manual, showing a -10º attack, rather than the 20º that every one seems to be using on their tutorials :) ... I'm subscribing to your channel in order to be notified of any further tutorials ... best regards.
I prefer to use the 30 degree bomb dive. Get visual on the target under the left (or right mirror), roll in and dive at target. Very accurate (and fun) when mastered.
Admittedly I've tried the method suggested in the tutorial and book and I find it to be very difficult to actually hit targets with the F-5, will have to give this a go.
That was great, the length and the precise information so thank you - I use VR in X-Plane, but am moving to DCS. Are you using TrackIR or are you on VR or using keys? Thanks you for your reply.
I'm using trackir but also have VR. I was having some performance issues with VR so I went back to trackir for the time being. Easier to stream that way as well. Thanks for the kind remarks.
Nice instructions. We've been looking at various settings for F-5 bombing as well. Killing the drift has been a huge PITA. Yours however, with such a shallow angle and low release, you're exposed to AAA far too long. And with their laser accuracy, it wont end well. Next vid, please add some AAA. Thanks!
J Storm I appreciate the comment. I agree you are, this was simply a demonstration of what works for me without AAA threats which was stated in the video. Your feedback has been noted for future videos.
Very nice. I just afraid we would damage our own aircraft at 10 deg. dive, as we end up being so close to ground level, specially when you attack on a highly explosive targets such as a refinery plant.
@@TrickerDCS maybe it's now at least partially modeled. Since I'm still so noob, I dived and maneauver so close to ground surface (maybe 500 ft AGL) and my aircraft got damages from the explosion underneath me, so the training failed me right away 😅
Hey bud! Nice job! Very concise. Question: Are you releasing right as the targets pass through the dot in you pipper? If not what visually are you using as your release point relative to your target on your run?
Tscro88 thanks moose, when my pipper dot gets to the target when I reach my altitude I pickle, I pressed the button and held when the dot passed the first target and I got all three in the first demonstration
Are you running any post-processing or forced or is this the game engine? I seem to only manage to obtain a more pale, less contrast appearance. I understand that shaders have changed over the last few iterations and even some options removed but I feel that it's made the game marginally worse in appearance.
That was pretty Bad'Azz for a 1st Tutorial..!! 🎯 Here visiting this as I am taking advantage of the "free to play all modules special" b4 it is too late..!! First cold start earlier..!! I like it..!! "this is the first tutorial ive ever done"
Sounds so scared and humble... but turned out to be one of the best turorials there is.

Awesome, thanks for sharing and your service
Short, concise and well explained. Looking forward to more :)
Agreed! I like this guy's style.
Thanks buddy!

rudelchw I really appreciate the comment, more to come soon
nice work buddy! very clear and concise
Crisp video, clear and concise indications ; great tutorial. Hope to see a F-5 tutorial playlist being made in the near future, I’ll look for it.
33- DFTC appreciate your feedback. Any suggestions for the next one?
Did you consider making a navigation tutorial ?
I'll see what I can do!

Just got my Tiger 2 and this is by far best guide for unguided bombs! Thank you. I do love 10 degree dive myself :)
Good video tutorial, you've got your lessons are crisp and considered. Good job.
Well done, top tutorial
I just found this video and the 10 degree dive angle works out for me well! Thanks! Subscribed
Glad it helped!
Dude. I've been relearning the F-5 and watched your videos. I love the intro! "I have read the manual." 😀
Now look at you. DCS BMOC!
Lmaoooo I totally forgot about that. I just hated all the forums junkies, read the manual!

the reason they don't use 10 degree dive angle and 1000ft release is probably that in real life, you're likely to frag yourself that close.
That's what I was thinking
much needed. thx!
These are all great; thanks so much!
Bryan O'Hagan-Wong thanks for the reply!
Followed this, perfect pass.
Thanks.
Love it! Thanks so much!
Well done.
3nineline thank you!
