Our first time going to Malaysia Prime Minister Hari Raya Open House for Eid! 🇲🇾

- We were invited by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for his Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house. This is actually a tradition that happens every year in Malaysia. The PM would invite the public for what we heard is the largest food buffet in the world. This year, the open house was extended for two extra hours due to many people attending! (around 100,000 people!!!)
This was also the first Hari Raya open house held at the PM's house since 2019 due to covid.
So, people were delighted.
There were many food to choose from such as rendang, lemang, satay, kambing bakar, laksa, and many more.

I'm a landscaper too!!!! How excited i am when you said that you are also a landscaper..well i work here inside the Sri Perdana(prime minister house) few years back..all the landscape activity is under my team services..glad you come to visit .

PM's open house is for everyone. Just eat everything you like for free. A lot of foods were made with the good quality by each caterer.
that's why Malaysians love free food. coz even though it's free, it's still good!

One thing that makes us so so super proud as Malaysian is that we are fully disciplined and well organised everway we go e.g. in any celebation! No rushing, no running, we try to treat our guests as best as we could, with smile and hospitality especially people from other countries! We give 'em so many kinds of Malaysian food to choose! Another thing that makes us so proud too is most of us can speak English even not as good as the British!
Amoung all, one thing the best most is of course 'free makan lah!'

There were abundance of food from d stalls. It was very interesting that all d delicious food was organized by stalls rather than one big open buffet. Of all d food, did u guys see any nasi dishes like nasi lemak, nasi minyak, nasi tomato, nasi briyani, nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, nasi ayam, curry laksa, asam laksa, all those Malaysian comfort food. I saw Ivana took fried noodles, n I'm assuming there was char kway teow too. I think I saw nasi tomato.

PM open house is an annual event every raya pre covid. so after 2 years of lockdown, ppl are excited to experience it again. hence maybe now there were double numbers of the guests before covid

@@zultana2078 buffets in general, big buffets even worse :-( USA, France, India, Maldives, China, Costa Rica ... doesn't matter. I do not like them and normally choose not to eat :-) We are all different and I know most people like them ... just not me. I love Malaysian food, just not as buffets ;-)

I suggest you to visit Sabah/Sarawak next time you plan to comeback to Malaysia for nature experience....31st may is the national level harvest festival @ kaamatan in Sabah....it's a cultural festival....try camping/hiking,/scuba diving or maybe climb mount Kinabalu....and most important thing is food of course....
