- We've looked at the home delivery option for Whole Foods on Amazon, a few times. But we live like 45-50 away from the nearest store, so it always said "Delivery not available". Well, something changed recently, and now it says they will deliver to our house. Even after placing the order, we were skeptical that it would really show up... Right on time, someone showed up with 3 very well packaged bags, and left them on our porch for us 😃
In this video, we'll go over what we ordered. It's a pretty small haul, but now that we know it works, we'll probably use it again, for times when we really don't want to get out of the house.

My wife said the one important thing with bagels, is only boiling each side for 30 seconds. She is head baker for a restaurant here in WI. Good luck with your bagels you will never want to go back to store bought!

just to clarify, Amazon is not affiliated with Wholefoods, they purchased whole foods back in 2017-2018. Amazon wanted to add more to their pantry fresh options as well as a brick and mortar aspect to their grocery arm.

Grocery delivery is the best. I’ve had mine delivered for years. The time saved alone is worth it but I also save money, no impulse buying! We aren’t near a Whole Foods, I generally get an order from Publix or Wynn Dixie and a separate order from Aldi.

Yay!!! This has been my go-to for the last couple years. My stress level when everything shut down in spring was astronomical! You could not get a time slot to save your life. I was pregnant with my third at the time and I would actually cry because I couldn’t order groceries and they kept removing items from my cart while I was waiting for something. It took days. I’m so glad it’s back to normal!! Also while they’re shopping if something is out of stock they tell you and you can approve a replacement which is fantastic! They have the best ordering system in my opinion.
I've been shopping this way for months except I go to the store and they load everything into my car, I have also done it for my daughter who is in Wisconsin she has it delivered. I'm so thankful that stores are offering this service for us.

Very nice Rachel. Hummus is also a staple for our family and we make all sort of variations of it: beet hummus, fava bean hummus... But just like you we never miss adding a tablespoon of tahini. It makes a world of difference.
Pasta making is super super fun. If you like baking and making dough I'm sure you'll enjoy making pasta. And same as hummus, the variety of pasta and noodles you can make is only limited by your imagination (and some items shortage but that's a conversation for another day).

Wish I was close enough to teach you how to make pasta. I learned as a young girl at my Grandmother’s side. It is so easy, we make it every Sunday. Make all kinds of pasta and have taught all six of our children. Now our grandchildren are learning. Being half Italian, I was taught how to make sausage, salami, pancetta. I just tried Einkorn flour for the first time a few days ago. I finally found it online to order it. Anwyays i made sourdough bread using 1 part einkorn to 2 parts white flour. I really liked the taste of it. Great video.

🌹 I have been using grocery delivery and really enjoy it. Whole Foods is not available in my area. I have been getting groceries and Ball canning jars from HyVee. I just looked at delivery for Target and they have different size Ball canning jars and lids/rings ♥️ I really enjoy your channel 🌹

wipe your stuff off with disinfected wipes. That way if someone handled your food that has it you wont be bringing it into your home! keep safe

I do Kroger and Walmart. My daughter did Whole Foods. Kroger allows substitutions too.
Well I checked and it’s not available to my address.😢 but good to know about. AND, I rolled out my pie crust like you suggest and I will never go back!!! Thank you!! I will always remember where that idea/suggestion came from.👊🏻
My 1st order with Wholefoods even delivered ice cream and frozen pizza. They were packed in a freezer bag with an ice pack.
I normally dont comment, just thought id share. The meats and chemicals must always be wrapped in a produce bag, but they are allowed to be bagged with like temperature items. All produce must be in separate produce bags to keep the organic integrity of the items. They pick the produce with the bag over their hands and then when they put the items in the delivery bag they wont mingle with non organic items. Also most produce is weighed, the scale my be contaminated by conventional items, so just more protection for the organic integrity. They try to use as few bags as possible to keep chiller and freezer space available for other orders and for less waste on the consumer end. There for sometimes meats will be in a bag with other chilled products. All bags can be recycled. Or used the bags as little trash cans! :)
I cringed when the raw meat came out of the same bag as the grapes....

I have found that Whole Foods has a really good price for Organic Chicken stock if you buy 6, 6 -32 oz boxes for 9.99
Their spices are definately cheaper than on Amazon itself.
I read somewhere that baking soda+cream of tartar= baking powder. I am not sure if that is true, but I want to give it a try when my new stove comes in. Seven weeks and counting without a stove - I am anxious to get back to canning and baking!
I started using Whole Foods delivery back in March and I LOVE it! The only difference is I still like to purchase my fruits and veggie myself. We don't have any small mom-and-pop stores around here (haven't since we moved to this area) so our choices are Kroger, Walmart, Target, Fresh Market, and Whole Foods. I only shop in person at Fresh Market and Whole Food and I get there right when they open. Whole Foods delivery has been an option for us once in awhile but I also am able to do pickup as we live only 15 minutes from the one in our town. :-)
Indiana is getting to that same order for the stay at home. Definitely will have to check Whole Foods out.
Oh you will love making pasta, so easy, and tastes and texture so much better.

Kroger substitutes as well on products they are out of and many times you get a more expensive name brand at a cheaper price. You can specifically say not to substitute something or pick a possible second choice. If you fail to pick a substitute, they will text you and ask.
I live an hour from a Whole Foods and they don't deliver this far. I wish they did - or wish there were a Trader Joe's or something like that closer to where we live. We had one just down the street from us when we lived in Houston and I got spoiled with all of the wonderful shopping options I had so close to us there. I sort of live in a food dessert here in rural mid-Michigan now though :)

Amazon bought Whole Foods a couple years ago and the prices immediately got really comparable to the grocery store. Plus you can link it to your Amazon rewards credit card and get more discount and reward points.
I’m just catching up with all the videos while I do my Thanksgiving baking and such today. I used to shop at WF about once a month or so. The closest one to us is about 40 miles away. I don’t know if ours delivers though. I’ll have to check it out!
Baking powder does not keep a long time. It might keep better in the small cans opening as you need it.
LOL My Aunt told my mom that she couldn't find any Cranberries for Thanksgiving Monday afternoon, so I check Walmart quickest time they could get it to her was next week, she lives in Phoenix. So I went to Amazon and was surprised Amazon Fresh said they could deliver on Tuesday, so I ordered her a list of things, and patted myself on the back I was a good nephew. Then this morning I checked and to my horror I hadn't ordered the cranberries, I went to the site and found out I could still get them ordered and delivered today. Around noon she called me ( I need to add she is a 91 year old widow who never learned to drive, so she is dependent on friends to take her grocery shopping) Anyway she called and said she looked outside through the gate and this person was unloading a bunch of bags at her door, she thought they must be at the wrong house till she saw my name on the bag. (Yeah there were some sniffles) Upshot of it all when she called mom tonight she described the lunch she had made from everything I had sent her. Funny thing is I hadn't seen this post till now! Just checked on your link out of all my family she is the only one that can be served by them!
I have been ordering canned goods and stuff to be delivered to us both from Amazon and Walmart since the Beer Flue shut downs started it is a great way to supplement what our small town grocery and Dollar store carry
Can’t do the online delivery and that’s because we’re way to far in the sticks I’ve tried but if I could yes I might. But don’t shop Amazon much.
I LOVE Whole Foods. There delivery service is awesome. I have been using them for a while now. :) We are also fortunate that Walmart delivers and also Aldi's, but these two are not free delivery.

I live near the border of IL/MO and there are Whole Foods in St. Louis only about 20 minutes away, but the delivery isn't available to me. I figured it was too far a distance but maybe it's to do with crossing state lines. I do have the option of doing free pickup. Illinois is back in a statewide lockdown as of 2 days ago but as someone with an immune disorder I've pretty much been in lockdown since March.
I tried it too. Even bought some frozen ice cream on I stick. Just to test them. It is 30-40 minutes drive from here. The produce was fresh the ice cream was frozen and it arrived on time. A taxicab delivered it. Which I found quite funny but The driver was quite pleasant and I was very pleased. And in watching this I realize I didn’t have a few things I needed for dinner so I just placed another order

We get the same here in the UK through Amazon, do you wipe or sanitize your items when they have been delivered after all some one else has touched them to place them in the bags.
I’m in NJ and it was really bad here back in April May timeframe so I wanted to do this...it seemed smart and convenient until they were overwhelmed because of lockdowns and don’t have some of it or so they say because everyone is hoarding everything ....they don’t bother telling you they don’t have it because they are just too busy and just deliver your order anyway without half of what you ordered so you have to go to the store anyway 😳 ...yup been there ....done that... and oddly enough found it in the stores...if they don’t have what I NEED and I end up going anyway, no point ordering online which after trying several times there is always something missing...really frustrating.. also they don’t service many areas either...worth checking before thinking it is a done deal.

When this virus first started I ordered for several months from Whole Foods. I will tell you i had to get up and order by 5:00 when they opened the delivery window to get it 2nd day delivered. Now, it is easy to get your orders. I would not count on being able to get your order like that should you go on lockdown. Amazon Prime was the same. It is a great service though.

Bananas can makebthings tadte like bananas. Maybe that is why the plastic. Can you do a hummus recipie and make some? I made some once and very ondebth and wondered if it made it harder? Peeling the chick peas was time consuming. Thanks for all you do.
Stay safe! I've been almost hoarding ingredients lol just in case you know. Cleaned out older items from freezer/pantry and used them up or tossed depending on how ancient they were. I swear I thought I cleaned my cupboard more often than the age on some of the boxes! Let's just say one expired in 2003(😳how'd that happen!🤣)
But we love smoking turkeys so at $3 and $4 a bird we packed a few away!

I live on the TN/KY state line & the nearest WF is in Nashville, an hour away. I wouldn’t think they’d deliver this far either.

Visalia Ca. "BUG" is pretty bad here as well. I'm pretty sure that after Thanksgiving, the bug will be totally crazy. Everyone is still going on with their lives, ignoring the mask, social distancing thing.

Hey I hear ya....but it isn't everyone going on like normal....we are not seeing our 3 married kids and 9 grandkids for Thanksgiving...we don't want to spread it and for heavens sakes how people can't do this for all the health care workers that are being beaten down to the ground caring for all the sick people! So sad!!! My heart breaks for them....if nothing else do it for them everyone!
